    YWF-6E-450 axial fan with an external rotor motor and a square mounting plate. It delivers up to 2800 m³/h, runs on 230 V and can be used for air supply or exhaust, depending on the mounting direction.

    The 6-pole motor (920 rpm) turns slower, so it runs quieter and smoother – suited to long continuous operation. The fan mounts in a wall, ceiling, cabinet or equipment, without a complex duct system.

    Operating principle

    The fan is fixed through its square plate to a wall, ceiling or equipment housing over a suitably sized opening. The external rotor motor is built into the impeller hub, so the design is compact.

    The single-phase 230 V motor starts via a 6 µF run capacitor; the impeller turns at 920 rpm and moves air along its axis. Depending on the mounting direction the fan works as supply or exhaust. Axial fans are for low-pressure systems and work best directly through a wall or with a short duct.
