Busbar grounding and protection systems

  • Earth (PE) and neutral (N) busbars for distributing conductors in a distribution board: short 3×16 and 6×16 mm² types and 1 m busbars with 96 or 153 terminals for conductors from 1.5 to 16 mm², 60 A.

  • Earth and neutral busbars – for N and PE conductors in the board

    The busbar joins the neutral or protective conductors of all circuits at one point. Each circuit is connected to its own terminal, so conductors are not twisted together and are easy to check or disconnect.

    How to choose

    Parameter What to check
    Number of terminals According to the number of circuits plus spare capacity: 3 or 6 terminals for small boards, 96 or 153 for large ones
    Conductor cross-section Terminals must suit the conductors: 1.5–16 mm² on these busbars
    Current The busbar is rated 60 A – the total neutral or PE current must not exceed this value
    Mounting On a DIN rail or on insulators; the N busbar is insulated from the enclosure
    ⚠ In a TN-S system, N and PE must not be connected after the separation point. Use separate busbars: N for blue conductors, PE for yellow-green ones. If N and PE are joined downstream of the RCD, it will trip falsely or fail to trip.

    ⚡ Electrical installation work must be carried out by a qualified electrician after disconnecting the power and verifying that it is dead.
