    Painted steel roof base D500 with a round spigot. Allows a D500 rotary deflector to be installed with a tight seal when the ventilation duct ends at roof level.

    Painted steel deflector base D500

    The base is a roof plate with a round spigot onto which the rotary deflector is fitted. It is needed when the ventilation duct does not project above the roof or when the deflector needs a firm and sealed base.

    Key point

    The plate covers the opening in the roof, and the spigot forms a tight joint with the D500 deflector. The brown paint coating applied to the steel adds colour and extra protection – the deflector matches brown roofing. Choose a base and deflector of the same material – mixed metals corrode faster.

    ⚠ For ventilation only

    The deflector is intended for ventilation ducts only – to extract humid and warm air. Do not install it on flues of stoves, fireplaces, sauna heaters or boilers: hot flue gases and acidic condensate will damage it, and there is a risk of fire and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.
