  • Differential pressure connection kit | plastic nozzles | PVC tube 2m | up to 10000Pa | Sentera Controls | PSET-PVC-200

    The PSET-PVC-200 is a Sentera Controls differential pressure connection kit used to connect a pressure transmitter, controller or pressure switch to a duct. The kit contains 2 ABS nozzles (84.6 mm, connection end Ø6 mm), a 200 cm transparent PVC tube and 4 galvanised self-tapping screws 2.9 × 9.5 mm.

    Key idea:
    The right measuring point is half of accurate pressure control. The kit allows the “+” and “−” points in a duct or at a filter to be installed quickly and neatly to measure the pressure difference, and, when the fan K-factor is known, the airflow as well.
    Nozzles
    ABS, Ø6 mm
    Tube
    PVC, Ø5 × 7 mm, 200 cm
    Max. pressure
    10 000 Pa
    Max. temperature
    60 °C

    Operating principle

    Holes are drilled in the duct wall, the nozzles are inserted and secured with screws. The PVC tube is cut in two: one piece connects the higher pressure point to the device's "+" port, the other connects the lower pressure point to the "−" port.

    The device measures differential pressure (Pa). Connected to the fan measuring points and with its K factor known, it can measure or control air volume (m³/h).

    Result – stable measuring points from which the transmitter, controller or PSW switch obtains the true pressure difference. Engineer's note: place the nozzles away from sources of turbulence – bends, branches and cross-section changes; the required distance depends on the duct diameter.

    Benefits PSET-PVC-200?
    Everything needed to install pressure difference measuring points in one kit – suitable for Sentera pressure transmitters, controllers and switches.

    Original manufacturer documentation – technical data, wiring diagrams and installation instructions.

    Main functions

    • Pressure difference measurement – for monitoring filters, duct static pressure and room pressure differences.
    • Air volume based on the K factor – together with an HPSP / DPSP controller – constant m³/h.
    • Universal – suitable for Sentera pressure transmitters, controllers and switches.
    • Quick installation – nozzles, tube and mounting hardware in a single bag.
    • Working pressure up to 10 000 Pa – suitable for all Sentera pressure ranges, including the 10K models.

    Where is it used?

    • Filter fouling monitoring
    • Duct static pressure measurement and control
    • Air volume measurement via the fan K factor
    • Connecting PSW pressure switches
    • Clean room pressure difference control
    • Heat exchanger pressure drop (frosting) monitoring in air handling units

    On-demand operation

    For heat recovery unit installers.
    Nozzles, a 200 cm PVC tube and 4 self-tapping screws in one kit – the measuring point is installed without additional parts.
    For building maintenance specialists.
    By connecting a PSW switch or transmitter before and after the filter, the filter pressure drop is visible and filters are replaced on time.
    For cleanroom designers.
    Lightweight ABS nozzles with a Ø6 mm connection end make it possible to set up room pressure differential monitoring points for pressures up to 10 000 Pa.

    Practical application

    If the filter of a heat recovery unit needs pressure drop monitoring, then the PSET-PVC-200 nozzles are inserted before and after the filter, and the 200 cm tube is cut into two pieces and connected to the "+" and "−" connectors of a PSW switch or transmitter.

    Application guide: how it is used in practice

    The PSET-PVC-200 is used in various systems – only the connected device and the measuring point change:

    Site What is connected Result Installer's note
    Filter monitoring Nozzles before and after the filter → transmitter or PSW pressure switch Filter pressure drop is visible, filters are replaced on time Route the tubes without bends and kinks
    Constant duct pressure One nozzle in the duct (+), the other in the atmosphere (−) → HPSP / DPSP The fan maintains the set static pressure Install the nozzle away from elbows
    Constant air volume Fan measuring points → controller with K-factor The set m³/h is supplied You will find the K factor in the fan data

    How to choose a pressure connection kit

    Measurement task / duct Recommended model
    Pressure difference, airflow by K-factor – plastic nozzles PSET-PVC-200 (ABS nozzles, 2 m tube) ← this model
    Pressure difference, airflow by K-factor – aluminium nozzles PSET-QF-200 (aluminium nozzles, 2 m tube)
    Air velocity / air volume, duct Ø100–300 mm PSET-PTS-200 (Pitot tube 150 mm)
    Air velocity / air volume, duct Ø150–500 mm PSET-PTL-200 (Pitot tube 250 mm)
    Rule: for pressure difference (filter, duct static pressure) and airflow by fan K-factor – PSET-PVC-200 or PSET-QF-200; for air velocity and airflow by duct cross-section – Pitot tube: PSET-PTS-200 for Ø100–300 mm ducts, PSET-PTL-200 for Ø150–500 mm. For a rectangular duct calculate the equivalent diameter.
    When to choose another solution: with aluminium nozzles – PSET-QF-200; for measuring air velocity – Pitot tube kits PSET-PTS-200 and PSET-PTL-200; for additional tubing – TUBE-PVC0705-100 reel (100 m).

    Quick selection guide

    10 000 Pa
    PVC tube 2 m
    ABS nozzles
    60 °C
    Suitable when you need:
    • to install pressure difference measuring points in a duct or at a filter;
    • to connect a Sentera transmitter, controller or pressure switch;
    • to control airflow by fan K-factor.
    Check before use:
    • whether the pressure does not exceed 10 000 Pa;
    • whether the medium temperature is not higher than 60 °C;
    • whether a 200 cm tube length is enough.
    Important reminder: The PSET-PVC-200 measures differential pressure; to measure air velocity in a duct, a Pitot tube kit is required.
