Programmable MUSAOperating principle
ADAX Wave is an electric liquid-filled towel warmer. Inside it is a mixture of 90% water and 10% glycol, heated by an integrated 300 W electric heating element.
Heat is transferred to the metal body and horizontal bars. Towels hung on them gradually warm up and dry, while the towel warmer itself can also provide additional heat to the bathroom.
Ready to use: the towel warmer is already filled with heat-transfer fluid and equipped with a programmable electric heating element, so after mechanical installation it only needs to be correctly connected to the electrical supply.
WAVE construction – 7 rectangular-profile bars
Unlike ladder designs with round profiles, ADAX Wave uses rectangular-profile black steel tube bars. The model has 7 horizontal bars, providing space for everyday towels. Its 500 × 800 mm dimensions allow the towel warmer to be practically integrated even where bathroom wall space is limited.
Rotatable heating element – right- or left-hand installation
The installed black electric heating element is rotatable. This allows the towel warmer to be adapted during installation so that the controller is positioned on the more convenient side – a right-hand or left-hand installation configuration can be selected.
Programmable MUSA controller
The integrated electronic MUSA controller is used not only to set the temperature but also to programme operation of the towel warmer. Temperature is adjusted using [+] and [−], modes are selected using [Prog], and [On/Standby] is used to switch the appliance on or place it in standby mode.
COMFORT
Maintains the room comfort temperature set by the user.NIGHT
Lower-temperature mode for night-time or periods when the room is not in use.ANTIFREEZE
Automatically maintains a temperature of 7 °C.TIMER-2H
Operates at maximum power for 2 hours – convenient for faster towel drying.CHRONO
Weekly temperature programming in one-hour intervals.FIL-PILOT
Intended for product versions with the Fil-Pilote system and centralised heating control.Switching on and standby mode
The appliance is switched on or placed in standby mode using the [On/Standby] button.
- When the appliance is switched on, the display shows the current time, selected mode and set temperature.
- In standby mode, the current time, day of the week and [Stb] message are displayed.
- When switching to standby mode, the appliance emits two 0.5-second beeps.
- When switching the appliance on, one approximately 1-second audible signal is heard.
COMFORT and NIGHT temperatures
Two main temperature levels can be set in the controller:
- COMFORT temperature is used in COMFORT, CHRONO and, where applicable, FIL-PILOT modes.
- NIGHT temperature is used in NIGHT and CHRONO modes.
- The overall configurable temperature range is 7–30 °C.
- The NIGHT temperature must be at least 0.5 °C lower than the COMFORT temperature.
COMFORT mode
In COMFORT mode, the towel warmer steadily maintains the selected room temperature. The mode is selected by pressing [Prog] until the COMFORT icon appears on the display, while the desired temperature is set using [+] and [−].
NIGHT mode
NIGHT mode maintains a lower temperature than COMFORT mode. It is recommended for night-time or when the room will not be used for 2 hours or more. The NIGHT temperature can be adjusted from 7 °C up to the COMFORT temperature minus 0.5 °C.
Frost protection – ANTIFREEZE
In ANTIFREEZE mode, the setting is fixed at 7 °C. The heating element is activated when the room temperature falls below this level. This mode is useful during holidays, in guest rooms or other infrequently used spaces.
TIMER-2H – 2-hour rapid towel drying
TIMER-2H mode is intended for faster drying of damp towels or temporarily providing more intensive room heating. When this mode is selected, the appliance operates at the maximum 300 W power for up to 2 hours, up to a maximum room temperature of 30 °C. When the set time expires, the appliance automatically returns to the previously used mode.
CHRONO – weekly programming
CHRONO mode allows an individual 7-day heating schedule to be created. Each hour of every day of the week can be assigned:
- COMFORT temperature – shown on the display as a filled time bar.
- NIGHT temperature – shown on the display as an empty time bar.
This allows the temperature to be reduced automatically at night or when the bathroom is not in use and returned to the comfort temperature before the expected time of use.
Setting CHRONO time and day of the week
- Switch the appliance to STANDBY mode.
- Press and hold [−] for at least 3 seconds.
- [SEt] appears at the top of the display.
- Use [+] to select [tEd].
- Press [Prog] and set the day of the week.
- Confirm the day using [Prog].
- Use [+] and [−] to set the hours and confirm with [Prog].
- Set the minutes in the same way.
- At the end of the procedure, the controller returns to STANDBY mode.
Creating a CHRONO programme
- Switch the appliance to STANDBY mode.
- Hold [−] for at least 3 seconds until [SEt] appears on the display.
- Use [+] to select [Pro9].
- Press [Prog] to enter programming mode.
- For each hour of the day, use [+] to assign COMFORT and [−] to assign NIGHT temperature.
- Press [Prog] to confirm the first day's programme.
- Repeat the procedure for the remaining 6 days of the week.
Open-window detection
The open-window detection function responds to a sudden drop in room temperature. When such a change is detected, the heating element is temporarily switched off. Heating resumes when the rise in temperature indicates that the window has been closed.
The function can be activated or disabled in the controller settings. When the function is active, the Open Window icon is displayed.
Note: an open window may not be detected if the thermostat is located in an isolated area of the room, far from air currents, close to an external heat source, or if the room temperature decreases very slowly.
Button lock – KEY LOCK
To prevent accidental changes to temperature or programmes, the control buttons can be locked. Holding [Prog] for approximately 3 seconds locks all buttons except [On/Standby]. A lock symbol appears on the display. To unlock, hold [Prog] again for approximately 3 seconds.
FIL-PILOT mode
FIL-PILOT mode applies only to products equipped with the Fil-Pilote system. In this case, the towel warmer's operating mode can be controlled by a central building or home heating-control system. Fil-Pilote compatibility of the specific product must be checked according to its configuration.
