ADAX Wave 60-160-750 Black is a matt black electric ladder-type towel warmer / heated towel rail designed for drying and warming towels and providing additional bathroom comfort. The model features 15 rectangular-profile bars, a 750 W electric heating element, a programmable MUSA controller, temperature adjustment from 7–30 °C and an IP44 protection rating. The matt black RAL 9035 finish and understated Scandinavian design are particularly suitable for modern, minimalist bathrooms and interiors with dark accents.

ADAX Wave 60-160-750 Black combines towel drying, electric heating and programmable temperature control in one appliance. The larger 600 × 1600 mm dimensions and 15 bars provide more space for towels, while the 750 W output provides greater heating capacity. The integrated MUSA controller supports COMFORT, NIGHT, ANTIFREEZE, TIMER-2H and CHRONO modes, heating schedules by day and hour, open-window detection and button lock.

Ready to use: the towel warmer is already filled with heat-transfer fluid and fitted with a programmable electric heating element, so after mechanical installation it only needs to be correctly connected to the electrical supply.

Unlike ladder-type constructions with round profiles, ADAX Wave uses rectangular-profile black steel tube bars. The model has 15 horizontal bars, providing more space for hanging and drying several everyday towels. The 600 × 1600 mm dimensions are especially suitable when a larger towel warmer and a larger usable hanging area are required.

The installed black electric heating element is rotatable. This allows the towel warmer to be adapted during installation so that the controller is positioned on the more convenient side – a right-hand or left-hand installation configuration can be selected.

The appliance is switched on or placed in standby mode using the [On/Standby] button.

• When the appliance is switched on, the display shows the current time, selected mode and set temperature.
• In standby mode, the current time, day of the week and [Stb] message are displayed.
• When switching to standby mode, the appliance emits two 0.5-second beeps.
• When switching the appliance on, one approximately 1-second audible signal is heard.

Two main temperature levels can be set in the controller:

• COMFORT temperature is used in COMFORT, CHRONO and, where applicable, FIL-PILOT modes.
• NIGHT temperature is used in NIGHT and CHRONO modes.
• The overall configurable temperature range is 7–30 °C.
• The NIGHT temperature must be at least 0.5 °C lower than the COMFORT temperature.

In COMFORT mode, the towel warmer steadily maintains the selected room temperature. The mode is selected by pressing [Prog] until the COMFORT icon appears on the display, while the desired temperature is set using [+] and [−].

NIGHT mode maintains a lower temperature than COMFORT mode. It is recommended for use at night or when the room will not be used for 2 hours or more. The NIGHT temperature can be adjusted from 7 °C up to the COMFORT temperature minus 0.5 °C.

In ANTIFREEZE mode, the setting is fixed at 7 °C. The heating element is activated when the room temperature falls below this level. The mode is useful during holidays, in guest rooms or other infrequently used spaces.

TIMER-2H mode is intended for faster drying of damp towels or short-term more intensive room heating. When selected, the appliance operates for up to 2 hours at the maximum 750 W power, up to a maximum room temperature of 30 °C. When the set time expires, the appliance automatically returns to the previously used mode.

CHRONO mode allows an individual 7-day heating schedule to be created. Each hour of every day of the week can be assigned:

• COMFORT temperature – shown on the display as a filled time bar.
• NIGHT temperature – shown on the display as an empty time bar.

This makes it possible to automatically reduce the temperature at night or when the bathroom is not in use and return to the comfort temperature before the expected time of use.

1. Switch the appliance to STANDBY mode.
2. Press and hold [−] for at least 3 seconds.
3. [SEt] appears at the top of the display.
4. Use [+] to select [tEd].
5. Press [Prog] and set the day of the week.
6. Confirm the day using [Prog].
7. Use [+] and [−] to set the hours and confirm with [Prog].
8. Set the minutes in the same way.
9. At the end of the procedure, the controller returns to STANDBY mode.

1. Switch the appliance to STANDBY mode.
2. Hold [−] for at least 3 seconds until [SEt] appears on the display.
3. Use [+] to select [Pro9].
4. Press [Prog] to enter programming mode.
5. For each hour of the day, assign COMFORT using [+] and NIGHT using [−].
6. Press [Prog] to confirm the programme for the first day.
7. Repeat the procedure for the remaining 6 days of the week.

The open-window detection function responds to a sudden drop in room temperature. When such a change is detected, the heating element is temporarily switched off. Heating resumes when the rise in temperature indicates that the window has been closed.

The function can be activated or disabled in the controller settings. When active, the Open Window icon is shown on the display.

Note: an open window may not be detected if the thermostat is located in an isolated part of the room, far from air currents, near an external heat source, or if the room temperature decreases very slowly.

To prevent accidental changes to temperature or programmes, the control buttons can be locked. Holding [Prog] for approximately 3 seconds locks all buttons except [On/Standby]. A lock symbol appears on the display. To unlock, hold [Prog] again for approximately 3 seconds.

FIL-PILOT mode applies only to products equipped with the Fil-Pilote system. In this case, the operating mode of the towel warmer may be set by a centralised building or home heating control system. Fil-Pilote compatibility of the specific product should be checked according to its configuration.

1. Always disconnect the electrical supply before installation or electrical connection work.
2. Install the towel warmer vertically on a suitable and sufficiently strong wall.
3. Take the larger 600 × 1600 mm product dimensions into account and check the installation location in advance.
4. Use fixing screws suitable for the specific wall construction.
5. The appliance must not be installed with the electrical controller at the top.
6. It is recommended to install the lowest heated bar no lower than 600 mm above the floor.
7. It is recommended to leave at least 50 cm of free space in front of the appliance.
8. Objects should not be placed closer than 10 cm to the towel warmer.
9. The heating appliance must not be installed directly below an electrical socket.
10. Installation and electrical work must be carried out by a qualified person in accordance with applicable requirements.

The towel warmer has an IP44 protection rating and is protected against splashing water. It may be installed in bathroom zone 2 if the electrical controls cannot be reached by a person using the bath or shower.

Electrical safety: in rooms containing a bath or shower, the electrical supply circuit must be protected by a suitable residual-current device with a rated residual current not exceeding 30 mA, where required by applicable installation regulations.

• Switch off the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning.
• Use cold or lukewarm water for cleaning – no warmer than 25 °C.
• Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth.
• A neutral or mildly alkaline cleaner may be used for stubborn stains.
• Avoid intensive rubbing and scrubbing.
• Do not use scraping tools, abrasive sponges or rough materials.
• Do not use acidic or strongly alkaline cleaners.
• Do not use steam cleaners.
• Do not use aggressive organic solvents.
• Do not use cleaning products with an unknown chemical composition.
• After cleaning, immediately rinse the surface with clean cold water.

• The specified maximum accessible surface temperature is 80 °C.
• Some parts of the appliance may become very hot during operation.
• The towel warmer is intended for drying towels, but it must not be completely covered.
• Completely covering the appliance may increase its temperature and activate the internal protection.
• Do not sit on the appliance or use it as a chair, support, ladder or toy.
• Particular attention is required when small children or vulnerable persons are nearby.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
• A damaged power cable or electrical controller must be replaced by a qualified person.
• The electrical supply must be disconnected before maintenance work.
• The appliance is not intended for use at altitudes above 2000 m.

Power failure: CHRONO mode information – current day, time and daily programme – remains stored in memory for several minutes.
