  • Electric heated towel rail | towel warmer | 750 W | 600 × 1600 mm | 15 bars | IP44 | matt black RAL 9035 | ADAX Wave 60-160-750 Black

ADAX Wave 60-160-750 Black is a matt black electric ladder-type heated towel rail designed for drying and warming towels and providing additional bathroom comfort. The model features 15 rectangular-profile bars, a 750 W electric heating element, programmable MUSA controller, 7–30 °C temperature adjustment and IP44 protection rating. The matt black RAL 9035 finish and understated Scandinavian design are particularly well suited to modern, minimalist and dark-accent bathroom interiors.

    Key point

ADAX Wave 60-160-750 Black combines towel drying, electric heating and programmable temperature control in one appliance. The larger 600 × 1600 mm dimensions and 15 bars provide more space for towels, while the 750 W rated power provides higher heating output. The integrated MUSA controller supports COMFORT, NIGHT, ANTIFREEZE, TIMER-2H and CHRONO modes, weekly and hourly programming, open-window detection and button-lock functions.

    Operating principle

ADAX Wave is an electric liquid-filled heated towel rail. It contains a 90% water / 10% glycol mixture, heated by an integrated 750 W electric heating element.

Heat is transferred to the metal body and horizontal bars. Towels placed on them gradually warm up and dry, while the appliance can also provide supplementary heat to the bathroom.

Ready to use: the heated towel rail is already filled with heat-transfer fluid and fitted with a programmable electric heating element, so after mechanical installation it only needs to be properly connected to the electrical supply.

    WAVE design – 15 rectangular-profile bars

Unlike ladder designs with round-profile tubes, ADAX Wave uses rectangular-profile black-steel tube bars. The model has 15 horizontal bars, providing more space for hanging and drying several everyday towels. The 600 × 1600 mm dimensions are particularly suitable where a larger towel warmer and increased usable hanging area are required.

Rotatable heating element – right- or left-hand installation

The installed black electric heating element is rotatable. This allows the heated towel rail to be adapted during installation so that the controller is positioned on the more convenient side – either right-hand or left-hand installation can be selected.

    Programmable MUSA controller

The integrated electronic MUSA controller is used not only to set the temperature but also to programme the operation of the towel warmer. Temperature is adjusted using [+] and [−], operating modes are selected with [Prog], and [On/Standby] switches the appliance on or into standby mode.

    COMFORT
Maintains the user-set comfort room temperature.
    NIGHT
Reduced-temperature mode for night-time use or periods when the room is not occupied.
    ANTIFREEZE
    Automatically maintains 7 °C.
    TIMER-2H
Operates at maximum power for 2 hours – useful for faster towel drying.
    CHRONO
Weekly temperature programming in one-hour intervals.
    FIL-PILOT
For product versions equipped with the Fil-Pilote system and centralised heating control.

    Switching on and standby mode

The appliance is switched on or placed into standby using the [On/Standby] button.

    • When switched on, the display shows the current time, selected operating mode and set temperature.
    • In standby mode, the current time, day of the week and [Stb] message are displayed.
    • When switching to standby, the appliance emits two 0.5-second beeps.
    • When switching on, one approximately 1-second beep is emitted.

    COMFORT and NIGHT temperatures

Two main temperature levels can be set:

    • COMFORT temperature is used in COMFORT, CHRONO and, where applicable, FIL-PILOT modes.
    • NIGHT temperature is used in NIGHT and CHRONO modes.
    • The configurable temperature range is 7–30 °C.
    • NIGHT temperature must be at least 0.5 °C lower than COMFORT temperature.

    COMFORT mode

COMFORT mode steadily maintains the selected room temperature. Press [Prog] until the COMFORT icon appears, then set the required temperature using [+] and [−].

    NIGHT mode

NIGHT mode maintains a lower temperature than COMFORT. It is recommended at night or when the room will remain unused for 2 hours or more. NIGHT temperature can be adjusted from 7 °C up to COMFORT temperature minus 0.5 °C.

    Frost protection – ANTIFREEZE

In ANTIFREEZE mode the temperature setting is fixed at 7 °C. The heating element activates when room temperature falls below this level. This mode is practical during holidays, in guest rooms and other rarely used spaces.

    TIMER-2H – 2-hour fast towel drying

TIMER-2H mode is intended for faster drying of damp towels or short-term intensive room heating. In this mode the appliance operates at its maximum 750 W power for up to 2 hours, up to a maximum room temperature of 30 °C. Afterwards it automatically returns to the previously selected operating mode.

    CHRONO – weekly programming

CHRONO mode allows an individual 7-day heating schedule to be created. Each hour of every day can be assigned:

    • COMFORT temperature – shown as a filled time bar.
    • NIGHT temperature – shown as an empty time bar.

This makes it possible to reduce the temperature automatically at night or when the bathroom is not in use and return to COMFORT temperature before the expected usage time.

    Setting CHRONO time and day

    1. Switch the appliance to STANDBY mode.
    2. Hold [−] for at least 3 seconds.
    3. [SEt] appears at the top of the display.
    4. Use [+] to select [tEd].
    5. Press [Prog] and set the day of the week.
    6. Confirm the selected day with [Prog].
    7. Set the hours using [+] and [−] and confirm with [Prog].
    8. Set the minutes in the same way.
    9. At the end of the procedure, the controller returns to STANDBY mode.

    Creating a CHRONO programme

    1. Switch the appliance to STANDBY mode.
    2. Hold [−] for at least 3 seconds until [SEt] appears.
    3. Use [+] to select [Pro9].
    4. Press [Prog] to enter programming mode.
    5. For each hour of the day press [+] for COMFORT or [−] for NIGHT temperature.
    6. Press [Prog] to confirm the programme for day 1.
    7. Repeat the same procedure for the remaining 6 days.

    Open-window detection

Open-window detection reacts to a sudden drop in room temperature. If such a change is detected, the heating element is temporarily switched off. Heating resumes when an increase in temperature indicates that the window has been closed.

The function can be enabled or disabled in the controller settings. When active, the Open Window icon is shown on the display.

Note: an open window may not be detected if the thermostat is located in an isolated area away from air currents, near an external heat source or if the room temperature changes too slowly.

    Button lock – KEY LOCK

To prevent accidental changes to temperature or programmes, the control buttons can be locked. Holding [Prog] for approximately 3 seconds locks all buttons except [On/Standby]. A lock symbol appears on the display. To unlock, hold [Prog] again for approximately 3 seconds.

    FIL-PILOT mode

FIL-PILOT mode applies only to products equipped with the Fil-Pilote system. In such versions, the operating mode can be set by a centralised building or home heating-control system. Compatibility must be checked according to the specific product configuration.

    • Due to the 1600 mm height and 600 mm width, available wall space should be checked before purchase.
    • Surface temperature may reach 80 °C.
    • IP44 does not mean the appliance may be installed anywhere in a bathroom.
    • The entire towel warmer must not be completely covered.
    • FIL-PILOT availability depends on the specific product version.
    • More advanced CHRONO programming requires setting the day, time and hourly temperature intervals.

    Quick selection guide

    750 W | 230 V | 600 × 1600 mm | 15 rectangular bars | IP44 | 7–30 °C | matt black RAL 9035 | 1.1 m cable | MUSA
Suitable when you need: a larger matt-black electric heated towel rail with 15 rectangular-profile bars, a large towel-hanging area, programmable temperature control and weekly scheduling.
Especially practical: 750 W power together with TIMER-2H allows the appliance to run at maximum power for 2 hours for faster drying of damp towels, while CHRONO adapts heating to the daily routine.
Before purchasing, check: whether the 600 × 1600 mm dimensions fit the intended wall position, the electrical connection point, bathroom electrical zones and whether the 15-bar model suits the planned number of towels.
