Industrial signal tower light (traffic light) with push-button control box | Andon | 5 tiers R/Y/G/B/W | LED | Ø60 mm | 230 V EU plug | buzzer | IP53 | ONN-M4F
ONN-M4F is a pre-assembled, ready-to-use industrial LED signal tower (traffic light) with five colour tiers (red, yellow, green, blue, white) and a push-button control box. It plugs straight into a 230 V socket via an EU plug, and the operator shows the workstation status with a single press: all good, attention needed, or stoppage and help required, while the blue and white tiers are free for additional signals, e.g. quality control or maintenance calls. It is the simplest way to display machine status and workstation state without an automation project.
Key point:
In production and warehousing, time is usually lost not because of the fault itself, but because nobody finds out about it in time. An Andon tower makes the problem visible from a distance: the supervisor or technician sees the colour and hears the signal, with no need to search for someone or make a phone call. Since everything is pre-assembled and powered from a standard socket, the system can be put into use the same day, without an electrician or controller programming.Signals

AC 100–240 V, EU plug, 1.5 m cableAudible signal

Steady or flashing, set per colourOperating principle
The tower is supplied fully assembled: the LED tiers are mounted on a pole fixed to a control box with five coloured push buttons. The box is placed or fixed at the workstation, and the power cable with EU plug is connected to a 230 V socket. The built-in power supply converts mains voltage into a safe DC 24 V for the light modules.
Each button corresponds to its own colour tier. The operator presses a button – the matching colour lights up, and if the audible signal is enabled, the buzzer sounds at the same time. DIP switches in the tower body, under the bottom LED module, set steady or flashing light separately for each colour, and for the buzzer – on/off, volume (85 dB or 40 dB) and continuous or intermittent sound. Factory setting: steady light with buzzer.
The result is a clear status signal visible through 360°, which a supervisor, logistics or maintenance worker can spot from the other end of the hall. Response time is shortened and problem tracking becomes simpler.
What makes ONN-M4F useful?
It is a separate, stand-alone Andon point: no PLC, no additional power supply and no cabling to the distribution panel are needed. A socket near the workstation is enough – signalling can be installed in a few minutes and moved elsewhere when the line layout changes.Technical specifications

- Five-colour status signal – green, yellow and red distinguish normal operation, need for attention and stoppage, while blue and white are used for additional messages.
- Push-button control at the workstation – the operator reports a problem within a second, without a phone or radio.
- Flashing or steady light – flashing can be set separately for each colour, e.g. red only, so urgent cases stand out from the general line background.
- Adjustable sound 85 / 40 dB – loud mode for a noisy shop floor, quiet mode for an office or lab, or no sound at all.
- Powered from a 230 V socket – EU plug and built-in power supply, no separate 24 V source required.
- Factory assembled – ready-to-use set, installation takes a few minutes.
- Long LED lifetime – 50,000 h, no lamp replacement during operation.
Where is it used?
- Production and assembly line workstations (Andon system)
- Machine status indication: running, waiting, stopped, fault
- Manual assembly, packing and quality control tables
- Warehouse picking and dispatch areas
- CNC machine and other equipment operator stations
- Repair workshops and service centres – to show job status
- Laboratories and test benches (quiet sound mode)
- Help call points in service areas
Use by user type
Production manager / supervisor.
Sees the status of all workstations at a glance and reacts to stoppages before they turn into downtime.Lean / production process engineer.
Gets a simple Andon point for a pilot project without PLC and automation integration costs.Warehouse or service manager.
Staff signal missing materials or a need for help without leaving their workstation.Practical application
If an operator on the assembly line runs out of parts, he presses the yellow button – the logistics worker sees the yellow light from a distance and brings materials. If a machine stops, the operator switches on the red flashing signal with sound, and the technician arrives without having to search for the fault location. When the problem is solved, green is lit again. The blue and white buttons can be assigned, e.g., to calling quality control and maintenance.Advantages
- Plugs directly into a 230 V socket, no additional power supply
- Assembled and ready to use out of the box
- Integrated buttons, so control happens right at the workstation
- Flashing set separately for each colour
- Sound settings: 85 / 40 dB, continuous or intermittent, or off
- Low power consumption – 1.2 W per colour
- 50,000 h LED lifetime
Disadvantages / limitations
- IP53 – intended for indoor use, not for outdoor conditions or wash-down areas
- Stand-alone device: no outputs to PLC, SCADA or MES systems
- Brightness is not adjustable
- Operating temperature up to +45 °C – not suitable for hot zones near furnaces or dryers
- Requires a 230 V socket near the workstation
Safety and installation notes
- The DIP switches are located in the tower body – unscrew the bottom LED module to access them. Do this only with the plug removed from the socket.
- Route the power cable so that it cannot be damaged by moving mechanisms, forklifts or sharp edges.
- Connect to an earthed socket protected by a circuit breaker and a residual current device (RCD).
- Do not use outdoors, under direct water jets or in areas where condensation may occur.
- Position the tower so that the signal is visible from the main traffic directions and not blocked by shelving or equipment.
- Do not open the power supply unit – it contains mains voltage.
Quick selection guide
5 tiers R/Y/G/B/WAC 100–240 V | EU plugØ60 mm | 360°85 / 40 dB | IP53Suitable when you need:- to deploy Andon signalling quickly without an automation project
- to let operators report a problem or need for help themselves
- a signal that is visible and audible in a noisy room
Check before use:- whether there is a 230 V socket near the workstation (1.5 m cable)
- whether the environment is within IP53 and -20 … +45 °C limits
- whether 5 colours match your status scheme
Important reminder: this tower is an informational signalling device. It does not replace an emergency stop circuit, machine safety systems or a fire alarm.FAQ
