  • Smart Electronic Lock for Glass Doors | fingerprint | PIN | MIFARE card | TTLock | mechanical key | for 8–15 mm glass

Smart electronic access-control lock designed for frameless glass doors. The lock supports several unlocking methods – fingerprint, PIN code, 13.56 MHz MIFARE card, TTLock app and mechanical emergency key, while an optional remote control can also be used. The adjustable stainless-steel lock latch allows the lock to be more precisely adapted to the specific door construction.

    Main idea

This is a standalone smart glass-door lock combining biometric, PIN-code, card, mobile and mechanical access in one device. It is designed for frameless glass doors 8–15 mm thick and can be managed through the TTLock app, where user fingerprints, passwords and access cards can be administered.

    Unlocking methods
    Fingerprint / PIN / card / TTLock / key
    Glass thickness
    8–15 mm
    Power supply
    6 V / 4×AAA
    Card type
    13.56 MHz MIFARE

    Operating principle

When the glass door is closed, the electric locking mechanism secures the door with a stainless-steel latch. To unlock the door, the user is authenticated using one of the configured access methods – fingerprint, PIN code, IC/MIFARE card or the TTLock app. Once the user has been successfully recognised, the locking mechanism is released and the door can be opened.

The lock also includes mechanical emergency unlocking with a key. If the main batteries are discharged, the USB port on the external part of the lock can be used for emergency power so that the electronic mechanism can be activated and the door unlocked.

Why is this glass-door lock useful?

Several independent access methods can be used in one device, so mechanical keys do not need to be issued to every user. Fingerprints, PIN codes and cards can be administered through the TTLock app, while the mechanical key and emergency USB power provide alternative access in critical situations.

    Unlocking methods

    Fingerprint
The integrated biometric reader allows the door to be unlocked using a registered fingerprint. Up to 50 fingerprints can be registered.
    PIN password
The touch-sensitive numeric keypad allows the door to be unlocked using a configured access code.
    MIFARE card
The integrated card reader is designed for 13.56 MHz MIFARE access cards.
    TTLock app
The lock can be unlocked and managed from a smartphone using the TTLock app.
    Mechanical key
A traditional mechanical key is provided for emergency unlocking.
    Remote control
An additional remote control is available. This function is optional and depends on the supplied configuration.

    TTLock app management

The TTLock platform is used to manage electronic access from a smartphone. Different lock users and their access methods can be administered through the app.

    • Unlock the lock using a smartphone.
    • Monitor the lock battery status.
    • Create and manage PIN passwords.
    • Manage access cards.
    • Manage fingerprints.
    • Send electronic access keys (“eKeys”).
    • View access records.
    • Manage authorised administrators.
    • Change system settings.

    Adjustable lock latch

The locking mechanism uses a SUS304 stainless-steel latch. Its position can be adjusted within approximately 4 mm, allowing the mechanism to be more accurately adapted to the door gap and the mating lock section.

    Why is this important?

If the gap between the door sections is larger or the mechanism is not perfectly aligned, the adjustable latch allows the locking position to be corrected and the lock to be installed more securely.

    Emergency unlocking and power supply

    Mechanical emergency key
If electronic unlocking is not possible, a mechanical cylinder and key are provided for opening the door.
    USB emergency power
If the 4×AAA batteries are discharged, the external USB port allows temporary power to be supplied to the lock so that electronic unlocking can be performed.

    Where is it used?

    • Frameless glass doors.
    • Office glass doors.
    • Conference and meeting rooms.
    • Administrative premises.
    • Glass doors in commercial premises.
    • Premises requiring electronic access control.
    • Locations where biometric, card-based and mobile access are to be combined.

    Use by application

    For offices
Different access methods can be assigned to employees, while registered users can be managed through the TTLock system.
    For commercial premises
Suitable for glass doors where more modern electronic access is required without constant use of mechanical keys.
    For multiple users
The high password and card capacity allows the system to be used in locations where access needs to be granted to many registered users.

    Installation requirements

The lock is designed for glass 8–15 mm thick. Two Ø45 mm holes are required at the installation location. According to the diagram, the centre of the first hole is positioned approximately 60 mm from the edge of the glass, while the centre-to-centre distance between the holes is approximately 63–65 mm.

If the lock is replacing a previously installed lock and the existing holes in the glass correspond to these dimensions, additional modification of the glass may not be required. For a new installation, hole compatibility must be checked before ordering or drilling the glass.

    Important information about glass processing

Tempered glass cannot be drilled or mechanically processed after tempering. If the door does not already have suitable holes for the lock, their layout must be planned during the glass manufacturing and processing stage. Before installation, the mounting drawing for the exact lock variant must be checked.

    Practical use

Once the lock has been installed on properly prepared glass doors, the administrator can register fingerprints, PIN codes and access cards in the TTLock app. Everyday users can use the unlocking method assigned to them. If the batteries are discharged, emergency USB power can be used, while the mechanical key can be used if the electronic system is not functioning.

    Safety and installation notes

    • Before ordering, check the glass thickness and the dimensions of any existing installation holes.
    • For new holes, determine their positions according to the mounting drawing of the specific model.
    • Do not drill or otherwise mechanically process already tempered glass.
    • The lock mechanism and mating section must be precisely aligned.
    • If the door gap is too large, adjust the position of the adjustable latch only within the permitted range.
    • Use 4 suitable AAA batteries and monitor their status in the app.
    • The USB port is intended for emergency power and does not replace the main battery power supply.
    • Keep the mechanical keys in a separate, accessible location for emergency use.

    Quick selection guide

    8–15 mm glass | fingerprint | PIN | 13.56 MHz MIFARE | TTLock | mechanical key | 4×AAA | USB emergency power
Suitable when you need: multifunctional electronic access control for frameless glass doors with biometric, PIN-code, card-based and mobile unlocking.
Check before buying: glass thickness, hole diameter and layout, door opening direction, the gap between the doors and whether an additional remote control is required.
Important reminder: the statement that an old lock can be replaced without additional glass modification applies only when the geometry of the existing mounting holes matches the requirements of the new lock.
