Potentiometer for EC fan | Sentera Controls | MTPND010-BT
MTPND010-BT – Sentera Controls potentiometer for EC fans, supplied with 3–15 VDC. The 0-10 V control signal is changed with the knob, and the Vmin and Vmax limits are set with internal trimmers.
Key idea:
The potentiometer has no OFF position: when the knob is turned fully, the set minimum signal remains – the fan runs at least at min. speed.Power supply
3–15 VDCOutput
0-10 VOFF position
NoneProtection
IP44 / IP54Operating principle
The potentiometer is installed in a living or working room, while the controlled EC fan, controller or frequency inverter is in a technical room or control panel. A 3–15 VDC supply and the 0-10 V output signal are connected.
This is not a power controller – it only generates a control signal, and the speed is changed by the EC motor or controller itself.
Vmin is set within 10–70 % and Vmax within 30–100 % of the supply voltage with internal trimmers. To access them, remove the knob, unscrew the nut and remove the front cover.
Engineer's note: since there is no OFF position, the min. signal never reaches 0 V – set Vmin deliberately, according to the min. required air volume.
Benefits MTPND010-BT?
A compact, low-cost manual control solution for EC fans, AC controllers and frequency inverters with a 0-10 V input.Technical specifications
Product type Potentiometer for an EC fan Manufacturer / code Sentera Controls / MTPND010-BT Supply voltage 3–15 VDC Output signal 0-10 V Vmin (internal trimmer) 10–70 % of supply voltage Vmax (internal trimmer) 30–100 % of supply voltage OFF position None Installation Flush-mounted (standard European box) or surface-mounted Protection class IP44 flush-mounted / IP54 surface-mounted Main functions
- Stepless 0-10 V signal – the speed changes steplessly.
- Vmin / Vmax trimmers – speed limits are adapted to the specific site.
- No OFF position – the fan always runs at least at min. speed.
- Universal enclosure – suitable for masonry, plasterboard and timber walls, IP44 / IP54.
Where is it used?
- Apartments and houses with EC fans
- Offices and workspaces
- AC fans with Sentera EVS / MVS controllers
- Fans with FI-E frequency inverters
- Damper actuators

Motor power has no influence on the selection.When to choose another solution: with 0-20 mA / PWM output and trimmers – SDP-E0US series; with Modbus RTU – SDP-M010 or SPV-8 series; for 230 VAC supply – MTVN1 series; for AC fans – electronic EVS or MVS controllers controlled by this potentiometer.Pros
- Stepless 0-10 V signal
- Vmin / Vmax limits
- Continuous min. ventilation
- Flush-mounted or surface-mounted installation
Cons / limitations
- No OFF position
- A 3–15 VDC supply is required
- Trimmers are accessible only after removing the cover
- No Modbus, 0-20 mA or PWM output
Safety and installation notes
- Installation and connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician with the supply to all connected devices disconnected.
- Supply – only 3–15 VDC; connecting mains voltage is prohibited.
- Before connecting, check the input type of the controlled device (0-10 V).
- Clean only with a damp cloth.
Quick selection guide
3–15 VDC0-10 Vbe OFFIP44 / IP54Suitable when you need:- control an EC fan manually with a 0-10 V signal;
- ensure constant min. ventilation;
- control an AC controller or frequency inverter from the room.
Check before use:- the available 3–15 VDC supply;
- the 0-10 V input of the controlled device;
- whether an OFF position is needed – if so, MTPNG010-AT.
Important reminder: MTPND010-BT is a control signal source, not a power controller – the motor current does not flow through it.FAQ
Does it have an OFF position?
No. When the knob is turned fully, the set min. signal remains.Where are the trimmers?
Under the front cover: remove the knob, unscrew the nut and remove the cover.Is it suitable for a frequency inverter?
Yes, Sentera specifies FI-E series frequency inverters.Can it be powered from 24 VDC?
No – the specified supply is 3–15 VDC; for 24 VAC / DC choose MTPNG010-AT.Potentiometer for EC fan | Sentera Controls | MTPND010-BT
Sentera MTPND010-BT – potentiometer for EC fans: 3–15 VDC supply, 0-10 V output, Vmin / Vmax trimmers, no OFF position, IP44 / IP54.
