Potentiometer for EC fan with OFF position | Sentera Controls | MTPNG010-AT
MTPNG010-AT – Sentera Controls 24 V potentiometer with OFF position, designed for direct control of EC fans and actuators. Supplied with 15–24 VAC ±10 % or 18–34 VDC, it generates a 0-10 VDC signal with the knob, and Vmin and Vmax are set with two internal trimmers.
Key idea:
One knob both switches off and controls: in the far-left position the signal is cut off; turned clockwise, the output rises to the set minimum and then increases steplessly up to the maximum.Power supply
15–24 VAC ±10 % / 18–34 VDCOutput

YraProtection
IP44 / IP54Operating principle
The potentiometer is connected to a 24 VAC or 24 VDC supply (often from the same controller or transformer that supplies the automation), and the Vout+ / Vout- output – to the control input of the EC motor or actuator.
This is not a power controller – it only generates a control signal (consumption ≤ 20 mA, load ≥ 2 kΩ).
Vmin is set within 0–7 VDC and Vmax within 3–10 VDC with internal trimmers (1 – Vmin, 2 – Vmax). In the OFF position the output is 0 and the fan stops.
Engineer's note: the manufacturer warns never to connect the input (supply) GND to the output GND – especially important when supplying 24 VAC, as a common wire can damage the potentiometer or the controlled device.
Benefits MTPNG010-AT?
The universal 24 VAC / DC supply allows an existing automation transformer to be used, and the OFF position replaces a separate switch.Technical specifications

MTPNG010-AT can be adapted to different sites – only what is connected changes:

The impedance of the controlled input must be ≥ 2 kΩ; when several inputs are connected in parallel, the total impedance must also be ≥ 2 kΩ.When to choose another solution: with 0-20 mA / PWM output and trimmers – SDP-E0US series; with Modbus RTU – SDP-M010 or SPV-8 series; for 230 VAC supply – MTVN1 series; for AC fans – electronic EVS or MVS controllers controlled by this potentiometer.Pros
- OFF position
- 24 VAC or 24 VDC supply
- Vmin / Vmax trimmers
- Operating temperature -5…+65 °C
- IP44 / IP54
Cons / limitations
- 0-10 VDC output only – no 0-20 mA, PWM or Modbus
- Trimmers under the cover
- Input and output GND must not be connected together – take care when wiring
- A load of ≥ 2 kΩ limits the number of inputs connected in parallel
Safety and installation notes
- Installation and connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician with the supply to all connected devices disconnected.
- Never connect the input GND wire to the output GND wire.
- Supply – 15–24 VAC ±10 % or 18–34 VDC; connecting mains voltage is prohibited.
- Output load – not less than 2 kΩ.
- Use at -5…+65 °C, 5–85 % rH non-condensing.
Quick selection guide
24 VAC / DC0-10 VDCOFFIP44 / IP54For EC fansSuitable when you need:- control and switch off an EC fan with a single knob;
- use an existing 24 V automation supply;
- set the speed limits with trimmers.
Check before use:- whether a 24 VAC / DC supply is available;
- the resistance of the controlled input (≥ 2 kΩ);
- that the supply and signal GND are separated.
Important reminder: MTPNG010-AT is a control signal source, not a power controller – the motor current does not flow through it.FAQ
Can it be powered from 24 VAC?
Yes, 15–24 VAC ±10 % or 18–34 VDC.What does the OFF position do?
Interrupts the control signal – the fan stops.Why must GND not be connected?
This is stated by the manufacturer – a common input and output GND can damage the equipment, especially with AC supply.What are the Vmin / Vmax limits?
Vmin 0–7 VDC, Vmax 3–10 VDC.Potentiometer for EC fan with OFF position | Sentera Controls | MTPNG010-AT
Sentera MTPNG010-AT – potentiometer for EC fans with OFF position: 24 VAC / DC supply, 0-10 VDC output, Vmin 0–7 V, Vmax 3–10 V, IP44 / IP54.
