The smart ADAX AFWT WiFi thermostat is designed to control electric underfloor heating, infrared heating panels and other compatible electric heating systems. The thermostat can operate independently or be controlled remotely via the ADAX WiFi app using a smartphone or tablet. The black housing and clear display are suitable for modern residential and commercial interiors.

ADAX AFWT WiFi is more than just a programmable floor heating thermostat – it can control heating according to room temperature, floor temperature or both sensors together. The app allows weekly heating schedules to be created, comfort and reduced temperatures to be adjusted, temporary Boost mode to be activated and the system to be controlled remotely.

A single thermostat can provide both simple constant-temperature control and fully programmable weekly heating operation. The floor temperature limiting function is especially useful in electric underfloor heating systems where both room air temperature and floor surface temperature must be controlled.

• Continuous – constant mode: the thermostat continuously maintains the temperature set by the user until the operating mode or setpoint is changed.
• Schedule – weekly schedule: the temperature is automatically changed according to the configured daily and weekly programme.
• Boost – temporary temperature mode: allows another temperature to be selected for a defined period, after which the thermostat returns to the previous operating mode.

Using Schedule mode, it is possible to plan when the room should maintain a comfort temperature and when the temperature should be reduced. This allows heating to be reduced automatically at night, during working hours or when the room is not in use, and increased again before the expected period of use.

The thermostat has an Adaptive Start function that can learn the heating characteristics of the room and start heating in advance so that the set temperature is reached at the programmed time. This function is used together with the weekly heating schedule.

When Open Window detection is activated, the thermostat can automatically reduce heating output if a temperature change indicates that a window may have been opened in the room. The function can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu.

1. Select a suitable installation location for the thermostat.
2. Disconnect the 230 V power supply.
3. If a floor sensor is used, install it according to the heating system design and connect it to the designated thermostat terminals.
4. Connect the supply and heating load wires according to the manufacturer's wiring diagram.
5. Secure the thermostat power module in a standard single-gang flush-mounted box.
6. Fit the front control unit.
7. Switch on the power and complete the initial thermostat configuration.
8. Select the sensor type used and the required temperature limits.
9. If Wi-Fi control is used, pair the thermostat with the ADAX WiFi app.

• The thermostat must be installed by a qualified electrician.
• All wiring work must only be performed with the power supply disconnected.
• Do not exceed the maximum 16 A thermostat load.
• Before installation, check the rated power and current of the heating system being controlled.
• Install the floor temperature sensor according to the requirements of the underfloor heating system.
• If the floor covering is temperature-sensitive, use the floor temperature limiting function.
• In bathrooms and other wet rooms, the thermostat location must comply with the requirements applicable to the relevant electrical safety zone.
