  • Temperature-based transformer fan speed and electric heater controller | 7.5A | 230VAC | surface-mounted | Sentera Controls | GTTE1-75L22

GTTE1-75L22 – Sentera Controls transformer controller of fan speed and electric heater according to temperature. It controls supply and extract fans with single-phase 230 VAC motors (total current up to 7.5 A) and switches an electric heater up to 16 A (3 kW) on / off via a separate Schuko socket.

    Key idea:
One device for indoor climate: the fans speed up according to temperature, and the heater switches on when heat is lacking. Everything is connected via plugs – the controller is hung on the wall and plugged into a socket.
    What it is for GTTE1-75L22:
This model is intended for high-power fans (up to 7.5 A) – industrial fans in production halls, warehouses, farm buildings or a larger group of fans.
    Max. fan current
    7.5 A
    Heater
    Up to 16 A (3 kW), ON/OFF
    Control
    According to temperature 21–35 °C
    Protection
    IP54, plug-in connection

    Operating principle

The controller is fixed to the wall via the integrated plate and supplied via a 1.5 m cable with a Euro plug (230 VAC / 16 A). The supply and extract fans are connected to two Schuko sockets, the electric heater – to the third (16 A, 3 kW). Each socket is protected by a separate fuse.

The heart of the controller is an autotransformer with several taps (steps). Each step supplies the motor with a different fixed voltage, while the output voltage remains SINUSOIDAL, as in the mains. As a result, the motor runs quietly even at low speed – the transformer speed controller is also suitable for motors that hum or heat up with an electronic (semiconductor) controller.

Based on the temperature of the integrated PT500 sensor (4 m), the controller automatically changes the fan speed in five steps between the set limits: the minimum voltage is selected with a knob from 80 / 140 / 170 / 190 VAC, the maximum – from 140 / 170 / 190 / 230 VAC. The temperature is set with a potentiometer at 21–35 °C, proportional band 2 °C, hysteresis 0.2 °C. The electric heater is controlled by on / off switching via an additional output.

Control is in steps, not stepless: the speed changes in jumps between fixed voltages. Engineer's note: the speed at each step depends on the motor and fan characteristics, so after commissioning it is worth checking that the motor reliably starts at the lowest step used.

    Benefits GTTE1-75L22?
Ventilation and electric heating according to a single temperature setpoint – without a separate thermostat, relays or complex installation.

    Manufacturer documentation

    ✔ Recommended by Elektrotechnikos sprendimai

Original manufacturer documentation – technical data, wiring diagrams and installation instructions.

    Main functions

    • Fan speed according to temperature – 5 steps between the min. and max. voltages set with the knobs.
    • Electric heater control – separate Schuko socket up to 16 A (3 kW), on / off.
    • Supply and extract – two sockets for supply and extract fans.
    • Integrated 4 m PT500 sensor – no separate sensor needed.
    • Separate socket fuses – a fault in one circuit does not switch off the others.

    Where is it used?

    • Greenhouses
    • Farm buildings, livestock and poultry housing
    • Residential houses, workshops, technical rooms
    • Rooms that need both ventilation and heating

    On-demand operation

For the farmer and greenhouse owner.
Ventilation and heating according to a single set temperature, without a separate thermostat.
    For the electrician.
Plug-in connection, separate fuses for the sockets, integrated sensor.
    For the ventilation installer.
Min. and max. speed are set with knobs according to the specific fans.

Application guide: how it is used in practice

    Typical GTTE1-75L22 applications:

Site What is connected Result Installer's note
Greenhouse Supply and extract fans → 2 sockets; heater → 3rd socket Ventilation and heating according to a single setpoint Install the sensor in the plant zone, not near the heater
Poultry house / livestock room Fans → sockets; electric heater → heater socket A constant temperature is maintained Heater – up to 16 A (3 kW)
Workshops, warehouse Extract fan → socket The fan speeds up as the temperature rises Total fan current – up to 7.5 A
Quiet operation Min. voltage knob – 80 or 140 VAC At low demand the fans run slowly and quietly Check that the motor starts at the lowest voltage

How to select the controller current

Rated current of the motor(s) Recommended model
    up to 3.5 A GTTE1-35L22 (3.5 A)
    3.5–7.5 A GTTE1-75L22 (7.5 A) ← this model
Rule: controller max. current ≥ rated current of the motor (or the sum of several motors) from the motor nameplate. For a transformer controller the motor starting current is already taken into account by the manufacturer, so no additional margin is needed. Connect several fans only with AC motors of the same type that are voltage-controllable. The heater current is calculated separately (up to 16 A).
When to choose another solution: no heater control needed – GTT-1 series (with manual mode); water heater and Modbus – GTH21 series; stepless 0-10 VDC control – electronic EVS-1 series.

    Pros

    • Control of fans and an electric heater in one device
    • Heater socket up to 16 A (3 kW)
    • Integrated 4 m PT500 sensor
    • Plug-in connection, separate socket fuses
    • Sinusoidal output voltage – quiet operation
    • IP54 enclosure, operating environment up to +40 °C

    Cons / limitations

    • Step, not stepless control
    • No manual speed mode – automatic control only
    • Temperature setpoint only 21–35 °C
    • The heater is controlled by on / off only
    • No 0-10 VDC, Modbus or TK terminals
    • Single-phase voltage-controllable AC motors only; not suitable for EC fans

    Safety and installation notes

    • Installation and connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician with the power disconnected.
    • Always connect the protective earth (PE).
    • The total rated current of the connected motors must not exceed 7.5 A.
    • Replace the fuse only with one of the same type and rated current as specified in the datasheet.
    • Electric heater power – no more than 16 A (3 kW).
    • Connect the controller to an earthed socket whose circuit is rated for the combined load of the fans and heater.
    • For indoor use only (-10…+40 °C).
