Temperature-based transformer fan speed and water heater controller | 10A | 230VAC | surface-mounted | IP54 | Sentera Controls | GTH21100L22
GTH21100L22 – Sentera Controls transformer controller of fan speed and water heater valve according to temperature, for single-phase 230 VAC voltage-controllable motors up to 10 A. It has heating / ventilation modes, a 230 VAC output for a hot water valve and a Modbus RTU interface (SenteraWeb).
Key idea:
Controller for an air heater or ventilation unit: it controls the fan speed according to temperature and opens the hot water valve. It can operate standalone or be monitored and configured via Modbus RTU / SenteraWeb.What it is for GTH21100L22:
This model is designed for high-power fans (up to 10 A) – industrial fans in production halls, warehouses, farm buildings or a larger group of fans.Max. motor current

IP54, metal enclosureOperating principle
The controller is wall-mounted in a metal enclosure. Connected are the 230 VAC supply (L, N, PE), the motor (U1, U2), the hot water valve to the unregulated output (L1, N, PE; 230 VAC / 2 A), an external PT500 temperature sensor (TEMP; not included) and, as needed, the Modbus RTU line (A, B).
The heart of the controller is an autotransformer with several taps (steps). Each step supplies the motor with a different fixed voltage, while the output voltage remains SINUSOIDAL, as in the mains. As a result, the motor runs quietly even at low speed – the transformer speed controller is also suitable for motors that hum or heat up with an electronic (semiconductor) controller.
The 7-position selector switch selects: off, five manual steps or automatic mode. Output voltages – 0-(80)-110-140-170-190-230 VAC (the 80 VAC tap is present but not connected). In automatic mode the speed is changed in steps within the proportional band (1–10 °C) around the setpoint of 5–35 °C.
In heating mode, when the temperature is below the setpoint, the fan runs and the valve output is on (230 VAC); when the set temperature is reached, the motor is switched off and the valve is closed. In ventilation mode the logic is reversed. The mode is selected with a jumper on the board or via Modbus. In manual mode the speed is set manually, but the motor only runs when the temperature condition allows it.
Benefits GTH21100L22?
Fan, hot water valve and Modbus integration in one metal IP54 enclosure – simple water air heater control without a separate thermostat.Technical specifications

Typical GTH21100L22 applications:
Site What is connected Result Installer's note Warehouse with a water air heater Heater fan → U1, U2; valve → L1; PT500 → TEMP Cold – the fan runs and the valve is open; warm – switched off Heating mode (jumper) Greenhouse ventilation Fan → U1, U2; PT500 → TEMP As the temperature rises, the fan switches on and speeds up Ventilation mode – reverse logic BMS integration Modbus RTU → A, B Remote monitoring and settings Modbus settings reset – jumper 1–2, ≥ 15 s Stable, farm building Fan → U1, U2; sensor – in the livestock zone The set temperature is maintained PT500 sensor purchased separately How to select the controller current
Rated current of the motor(s) Recommended model up to 7.5 A GTH21-75L22 (7.5 A) 7.5–10 A GTH21100L22 (10 A) ← this model Rule: controller max. current ≥ rated current of the motor (or the sum of several motors) from the motor nameplate. For a transformer controller the motor starting current is already taken into account by the manufacturer, so no additional margin is needed. Connect several fans only with AC motors of the same type that are voltage-controllable.When to choose another solution: electric heater – GTTE1 series; fan only, temperature-based, with integrated sensor – GTT-1 series; stepless 0-10 VDC control – electronic EVS-1 series.Pros
- Control of the fan and the water heater valve
- Heating / ventilation modes
- Modbus RTU and SenteraWeb
- Wide setting range 5–35 °C
- Sinusoidal output voltage – quiet operation
- Metal IP54 enclosure
Cons / limitations
- Step, not stepless control
- PT500 sensor not included
- The valve is controlled by on / off only (230 VAC), not 0-10 VDC
- Heavy weight (12.50 kg)
- No TK terminals and no alarm output
- Single-phase voltage-controllable AC motors only; not suitable for EC fans
Safety and installation notes
- Installation and connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician with the power disconnected.
- Always connect the protective earth (PE).
- The total rated current of the connected motors must not exceed 10 A.
- Replace the fuse only with one of the same type and rated current as specified in the datasheet.
- Valve output load – no more than 2 A.
- Wire cross-section at the terminals – up to 2.5 mm².
- Use in clean air, free of aggressive and flammable gases; operating environment -10…+35 °C.

Is the sensor included?
No, an external PT500 sensor is required, connected to the TEMP terminals. How is the water valve controlled?
via a 230 VAC / 2 A output: in heating mode it switches on when the temperature is below the setpoint and switches off once the setpoint is reached. Can it control a 0-10 V valve?
No, the valve output is 230 VAC on / off switching. Can it be connected to a BMS?
Yes, via Modbus RTU (RS485); parameters can also be monitored via SenteraWeb.What is the difference between heating and ventilation modes?
In heating mode the fan runs when it is too cold; in ventilation mode – when it is too warm.Temperature-based transformer fan speed and water heater controller | 10A | 230VAC | surface-mounted | IP54 | Sentera Controls | GTH21100L22
