  • Worktop Socket Block | flip-up | 1× Schuko | USB-A + USB-C | 5 W wireless charger | 1.5 m cable | 3500 W | IP20 | black | Elsp-1-02-PAVAS1BP-EA

A recessed worktop socket block that combines three ways to charge in one place: an earthed Schuko socket for 230 V devices, USB-A and USB-C ports for wired charging, and a 5 W wireless charger for your phone. When not in use, the socket module closes flush with the desk surface – no cables and no exposed sockets left on the desk.

    The key idea:
An extension lead under the desk and three separate chargers make for a tangle of connections that can be avoided at the furniture manufacturing or installation stage. One neatly recessed block powers the workstation – laptop, monitor or lamp – while the phone simply charges when placed on the marked surface.

⚡ Kibirkštis: Fazė, why cut into the desk when you can just tuck an extension lead underneath it?

⚙ Fazė: Because under the desk it ends up on the floor, gets kicked by feet, and cables hang over the edge of the worktop every single day. A recessed block is one solution for the whole life of the furniture: sockets at hand when you need them, out of sight when you don't.

    Sockets
    1× Schuko + USB-A + USB-C
    Wireless charging
    5 W, inductive
    Max. load
    3500 W, 220–240 V AC
    Installation
    recessed into the worktop, IP20

    How it works

The rectangular housing is inserted into a cut-out in the worktop and rests on its upper frame – only a thin aluminium cover remains above the surface. Power is supplied by a 1.5 m cable running from under the desk to the nearest earthed 230 V socket.

Press the cover and the socket module flips up, revealing the Schuko socket and the USB ports. When you finish working, the module is lowered back down – the sockets are hidden and no dust, crumbs or paper clips can fall into them. The wireless charger next to it keeps working with the module closed.

The result is a single tidy power point at the workstation: the computer and other 230 V devices plug into the Schuko socket, headphones or a tablet into USB-A or USB-C, and the phone charges wirelessly.

What is the benefit of this block?
It replaces an extension lead, a USB adapter and a wireless charging pad with a single unit that is invisible when not in use and takes up no space on the desk.

    Key features

    • Flip-up socket module – unused sockets stay hidden, keeping the desk surface flat and clean.
    • Earthed Schuko socket – suitable for a laptop power supply, monitor, desk lamp and other 230 V devices.
    • USB-A and USB-C in one module – charges both older and newer devices without a separate USB adapter.
    • 5 W wireless charger – a phone that supports wireless charging charges when placed on the marked surface, even with the socket module closed.
    • Up to 3500 W load – sufficient for typical office or home workstation equipment.
    • Aluminium and plastic housing, black – matches dark worktops and modern furniture.
    • 1.5 m power cable – the block plugs into an existing socket; no additional electrical installation is needed.

    Where is it used?

    • Office desks and height-adjustable desks
    • Home office – writing desk, computer desk
    • Meeting and conference room tables
    • Hotel room desks and bedside tables
    • Shop, showroom and reception counters
    • Workstations in universities, libraries and training rooms
    • Living room furniture – coffee tables, sideboards, TV units

    Choosing by need

    For furniture manufacturers.
One component instead of three – the desk is sold with built-in power and wireless charging.
    For office fit-out contractors.
Tidy workstations with no extension leads on the floor and no cables running across the desk.
    For home office owners.
Computer, lamp and phone all charge from one spot, and after work the desk looks like a piece of furniture again.

    Practical use

If staff bring laptops and phones to the meeting room and an extension lead with chargers sprawls across the middle of the table, a block recessed into the worktop solves the problem: the laptop plugs into the Schuko socket, the phone goes on the wireless charger, and after the meeting the socket module is closed and the table is clear.

    Pros

    • Three ways to charge in one block
    • Sockets are hidden when not in use
    • Wireless charging works with the module closed
    • USB-C port for newer devices
    • Plug-in connection – no changes to the electrical installation
    • Aluminium cover, durable for everyday use

    Cons / limitations

    • Only one 230 V socket – more devices require a multi-socket block
    • 5 W wireless charging is slower than fast wired charging – choose USB-C when in a hurry
    • IP20 – not for damp locations or the kitchen area near a sink
    • A cut-out in the worktop is required – relocating it later is difficult

    Installation and safety notes

    • Before cutting the worktop, check the cut-out dimensions against the supplied instructions and make sure there are no drawers, frames or cross rails underneath.
    • The block is protection class I – connect it only to an earthed 230 V socket. Earthing is required for both the Schuko socket and the metal housing.
    • The total load must not exceed 3500 W – do not connect heaters, kettles or other high-power appliances through additional extension leads.
    • IP20 – for use in dry rooms only; do not leave drinks on the block and do not clean it with a damp cloth while it is connected to the mains.
    • Do not place metal objects, bank cards or keys on the wireless charger – they may heat up or be damaged.
    • Do not run the power cable over sharp edges and do not trap it with drawers or the height-adjustment mechanism of a sit-stand desk.
    ⚡ Fazė's tip:
Before cutting the cut-out, place the block on the desk and try out where your hand naturally reaches while you work. The most common mistake is recessing the block too close to the edge, where a monitor stand gets in the way, or over the desk frame, where there is no room left for the housing underneath.

    USB-A + USB-C
    Wireless 5 W
    3500 W | IP20
    Suitable when you need:
    • power and phone charging for a single workstation, built into the worktop
    • hidden sockets that are out of sight when not in use
    • a USB-C port without a separate adapter
    Check before use:
    • that your phone supports wireless (inductive) charging
    • that there is enough free space under the worktop for the housing
    • that an earthed 230 V socket is within 1.5 m
Important reminder: this block is not intended for kitchen work areas or damp rooms, and it does not replace fixed installation sockets for high-power household appliances.

FAQ – Kibirkštis asks, Fazė answers

⚡ Kibirkštis: Does the wireless charger work with the socket module closed?
⚙ Fazė: Yes, the wireless charger sits next to the socket module and works whether or not the module is flipped up.
⚡ Kibirkštis: Can I connect a laptop and a monitor to the Schuko socket at the same time?
⚙ Fazė: Yes, using a splitter, provided the total power of all devices does not exceed 3500 W.
⚡ Kibirkštis: Does the block need to be wired into the electrical installation?
⚙ Fazė: No, the block has a 1.5 m power cable and plugs into an existing earthed 230 V socket.
⚡ Kibirkštis: Is it suitable for a kitchen worktop?
⚙ Fazė: Only in a dry area away from the sink and hob – the block is IP20, so it is not protected against water.
