    Operating principle

    The fan is fixed through its square plate to a wall, ceiling or equipment housing over a suitably sized opening. The external rotor motor is built into the impeller hub, so the design is compact.

    The single-phase 230 V motor starts via a 2 µF run capacitor; the impeller turns at 2500 rpm and moves air along its axis. Depending on the mounting direction the fan works as supply or exhaust. Axial fans are for low-pressure systems and work best directly through a wall or with a short duct.
