Operating principle

The box is used as a protective enclosure for electrical installation connections, electronic boards, sensor signal-processing modules and automation components. The ABS plastic base with external mounting lugs is fixed to a wall, equipment frame, metal structure or other stable surface.

Terminal blocks, PCB boards, relay modules, small controllers, communication equipment or other suitably sized components can be installed on the included ABS mounting plate. The mounting plate allows the electronics assembly to be pre-assembled and later fixed inside the enclosure without drilling additional holes through the bottom of the enclosure.

The lid is fastened with M4 × 16 mm Phillips screws into brass threaded inserts integrated into the structure. A white EPDM foam-rubber sealing gasket ensures sealing between the lid and the enclosure. The IP67 rating means complete protection against dust and resistance to temporary immersion in water under the test conditions specified in IEC 60529.

The 2.5 mm thick ABS walls provide structural rigidity, while the IK08 mechanical resistance class corresponds to 5 J impact energy according to IEC 62262. Cable entries are installed during mounting using suitable sealed cable glands.
