Sealed plastic IP67 junction box 80 × 82 × 55 mm with mounting plate, designed for wire connections, terminals, small electronic modules and sensor interfaces. Surface-mounted, grey, resistant to dust and water. Cable glands are selected separately according to the cable diameter.

  • Electrical installation junction box with mounting plate | plastic | sealed | 80x82x55mm | surface-mounted | grey | IP67

Compact sealed plastic enclosure with an internal mounting plate. Designed for wire connections, terminals, small electronic boards and sensor interfaces when equipment needs to be protected from dust, water and moisture. Surface-mounted on a wall, structure, equipment frame or machine housing.

    Key point:
A small enclosure often solves a big problem. A single connection left exposed to moisture can stop an entire production line, pump or automation system. The 80×82×55 mm IP67 box allows a connection or small electronic assembly to be installed neatly, securely and accessibly for maintenance. The mounting plate provides a solid base for components, so they do not need to be glued or fixed directly to the enclosure wall.
    Protection class
    IP67 – dust-tight, resistant to temporary immersion

    Operating principle

The base of the box is fixed to the surface. Terminals, connection blocks, a small printed circuit board, relay module or sensor converter can be mounted on the internal mounting plate. Cables are routed through sealed cable entries installed by the installer, usually cable glands.

The lid is pressed against the sealing contour. When the enclosure is closed correctly and the cable entries meet at least IP67 class, the interior is protected from dust and from water during temporary immersion (according to IEC 60529 – up to 1 m depth, up to 30 min).

The mounting plate separates the components from the bottom of the enclosure. It can be removed, the assembly can be pre-assembled on a workbench and then inserted back into the enclosure. This speeds up serial assembly and simplifies servicing.

    Why is this box useful?
You get a small, sealed and neat assembly instead of improvised "insulation tape and heat-shrink tubing" solutions. The connection remains accessible for inspection, its location is clearly visible, and it can be replaced without dismantling the entire installation.

    Main functions

    • IP67 sealing – the connection is protected from dust, splashes, wash water and temporary flooding.
    • Mounting plate – a solid base for terminals, PCB and modules without adhesives or improvised fastening.
    • Removable assembly base – the assembly can be built on a workbench and only then installed in the enclosure.
    • Compact dimensions – 80×82×55 mm fits on a machine frame, profile, behind equipment or in a narrow recess.
    • Flexible cable entry arrangement – openings can be made exactly where the cables enter, eliminating the need to bend cables across the other side of the enclosure.
    • Plastic enclosure – does not rust, is electrically non-conductive and can be drilled and machined easily on site.
    • Surface mounting – no need to cut into walls or dismantle structures.
    • Neutral grey colour – suitable for industrial environments, equipment enclosures and technical rooms.
    • Accessible servicing – after opening the lid, connections can be inspected, measured or replaced.

    Where is it used?

    • Connecting sensor, limit switch and transducer cables near machines and conveyors
    • Housing small electronic boards, controllers and converters in OEM equipment
    • Branches of power cables for outdoor lighting, floodlights and luminaires
    • Connection points for pumps, fans and valve actuators
    • Wet rooms: basements, boiler rooms, wash areas, greenhouses, farms
    • Power and signal connections for CCTV cameras on façades or poles
    • Outdoor nodes for irrigation, tank level and temperature measurement systems
    • Prototypes and test equipment when a sealed enclosure is needed quickly

    Use according to need

    For equipment manufacturers (OEM).
A standardised and repeatable enclosure for a small electronics or terminal assembly that can be assembled in series on the mounting plate.
    For designers / engineers.
Clearly defined IP67 class and dimensions allow the enclosure to be included directly in specifications and layout drawings.
    For installers / electricians.
A quick and sealed connection point on site that is easy to locate, open and inspect later.

    Practical application

If an inductive sensor cable needs to be connected to the control cabinet cable on the frame of a washing line, mount the box on the frame near the sensor, secure a terminal block to the mounting plate and route both cables through IP67 cable glands from below. The sensor can later be replaced by opening the lid and disconnecting the terminals, without pulling the cable all the way back to the cabinet.

    Advantages

    • IP67 protection against dust and temporary immersion
    • Mounting plate for neat component fastening
    • Compact and suitable for tight spaces
    • Cable entries can be positioned where required
    • Plastic does not rust and is easy to machine
    • Suitable for both one-off installation and serial production

    Disadvantages / limitations

    • Limited internal space – not suitable for modular DIN-rail equipment; choose a larger distribution enclosure for this
    • Cable glands are not included and must be selected according to cable diameter
    • Final IP67 protection depends on the quality of the cable entries and correct tightening of the lid
    • For high-power loads and heat-generating electronics, heat dissipation must be evaluated

    Safety and installation notes

    • ⚡ Before installing or opening the box, disconnect the power supply and verify that no voltage is present.
    • Drill cable entry holes only to the required diameter and use IP67 or higher-rated cable glands and sealed couplings.
    • Outdoors, route cables into the enclosure from below and leave a drip loop so water does not run along the cable into the gland.
    • Before closing, check that the sealing contour is clean and undamaged, and tighten the lid screws evenly in a cross pattern.
    • Do not use unsealed mounting holes through the enclosure base without gaskets, otherwise IP67 protection will not be maintained.
    • Use appropriate terminals for wire connections; do not leave twisted wires without a terminal.
    • Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable electrical installation requirements.

    Suitable when you need:
    • a sealed connection point outdoors or in a damp environment;
    • a small enclosure for terminals, PCB or a sensor converter;
    • a repeatable solution for equipment manufacturing.
    Check before use:
    • whether your components fit on the mounting plate together with the cable bending radius;
    • how many cable entries are required and whether they fit in the enclosure walls;
    • whether the electronics inside generate too much heat for a closed enclosure.
Important reminder: the box is not a distribution board – for circuit breakers, meters and other modular DIN equipment, choose a modular distribution enclosure.

    FAQ

    What does IP67 mean?
The enclosure is completely protected against dust and withstands temporary immersion to a depth of up to 1 m for up to 30 min (IEC 60529), provided the entries and lid are sealed.
    Can it be installed outdoors?
Yes, IP67 is intended for outdoor and damp environments; cables are recommended to be routed from below.
What is the mounting plate for?
Terminals, PCB or modules are fixed to it, so there is no need to drill through the enclosure base and risk compromising the seal.
    Are cable glands included?
No, cable glands are selected separately according to the cable diameter and required IP rating.
    Will DIN-rail equipment fit?
No, this box is intended for connections and small assemblies; for modular equipment choose a DIN distribution enclosure.
Is it suitable for serial equipment production?
Yes, standard dimensions and the mounting plate allow assemblies to be built repeatedly and quickly.
