  • Industrial socket box | 2×16 A 5P + 2×32 A 5P 400 V | with handle | IP44 | SEZ ROS 3203 D

SEZ ROS 3203 D is a portable industrial socket box with four CEE sockets: 2×16 A 5P and 2×32 A 5P, 400 V. It is used to connect three-phase equipment in workshops, garages and on site. The letter “D” in the SEZ designation stands for the version with a holder/handle for mobile use.

    Key point:
One box gives you two current ratings: 16 A sockets for smaller three-phase loads and 32 A sockets for heavier equipment. It is a simple distribution point without modules: there are no internal circuit breakers, RCD or isolator, so protection is selected in the supply board according to the cable and load. Simple and light, but it requires a correctly designed supply line.
    Sockets
    2×CEE 16 A 5P + 2×CEE 32 A 5P
    Protection
    IP44 (sockets IP54)
    Voltage
    400 V, 50 Hz
    Mounting
    portable, with handle

    How it works

The supply cable enters through a sealing gland and connects to an internal terminal block rated for cable up to 5×4 mm². A cable with plug is not listed in the manufacturer's data – the electrician selects and connects it.

The four built-in SEZ CEE sockets are 5-pole (3P+N+PE), so they suit three-phase loads with a 5P plug, including those that need a neutral.

There are no circuit breakers or RCD in the box – all protection must be in the supply board. IP44 of the enclosure and IP54 of the sockets apply only with the socket lids closed.

Why choose SEZ ROS 3203 D?
When a site needs, for example, a 32 A welder and a 16 A compressor or mixer, ROS 3203 D supplies them from one portable point – without adapters and chains of extension leads. Important: all sockets are fed by one line (cable up to 5×4 mm², protection not above 32 A), so the total current of loads running at the same time must not exceed the line breaker. The handle lets you move the box closer to the work area.

    • Two 16 A 5P sockets – for compressors, mixers, saws and other three-phase tools.
    • 5-pole sockets (3P+N+PE) – also suit loads that need a neutral.
    • Holder/handle – easy to move the box closer to the work area.
    • Terminal block up to 5×4 mm² – supply cable chosen to suit the line and distance.
    • No-module design – fewer parts; protection stays in the supply board.

How does it differ from similar products?

    SEZ ROS 1601 (590) 4×CEE 16 A 5P with handle – no 32 A sockets; fine when all equipment is 16 A.
    SEZ ROS 1605 D (2224) 2×CEE 16 A 5P + 4×230 V sockets – when single-phase tools are needed but not 32 A.
    SEZ ROS4/V-10 (2228) 1×32 A 5P + 2×230 V with 3-pole isolator – has a switch, but only one 32 A socket.
    Scame 686D.322 (13940) 1×32 A 5P + 2×230 V in a compact box – when you need single-phase sockets and one 32 A.

    Where is it used?

    • Metal and woodworking shops with several three-phase machines
    • Construction sites – as an end point after the site distribution board
    • Welding work with 32 A welders
    • Garages, hangars, vehicle and machinery service
    • Agricultural buildings: fans, heaters, conveyors
    • Temporary power for events and stages, fed from a board with RCD
    • Portable supply point for installation and repair crews

    Use by need

    For beginners.
This is not an extension lead with breakers – the box has no protection. Connect it only via a board with a breaker and RCD and leave the connection to an electrician.
    For experienced installers.
Check the terminal limit (up to 5×4 mm²) and the gland size. Size the cable for current, installation method and voltage drop.
    For power engineers / designers.
The box is a final distribution point without internal protection: design overload and short-circuit protection (not above 32 A) and a 30 mA RCD in the supply board. The 16 A sockets require 16 A protection – if the line has a 32 A breaker, choose a model with internal circuit breakers.

    Practical use

In a metal workshop a 5×4 mm² cable runs from a board with a 32 A breaker and 30 mA RCD to ROS 3203 D. A MIG welder and an air heater are plugged into the 32 A sockets, a compressor and a band saw into the 16 A sockets, but they are used alternately: the total current of equipment running at the same time stays within 32 A. When the work area changes, the box is carried by its handle without changing any equipment plugs.

    Pros / advantages

    • Four CEE sockets of two ratings in one box
    • 5-pole sockets (3P+N+PE)
    • Holder/handle for portable use
    • Sockets IP54, enclosure IP44
    • Empty enclosure IK10 (ROS series)
    • Simple design without modules

    Cons / limitations

    • No breakers or RCD – protection must be in the board; if you need a switch, see SEZ ROS4/V-10 (2228).
    • No 230 V domestic sockets – choose SEZ ROS 1605 D (2224) or Scame 686D.322 (13940).
    • IP44 – not for continuous rain or water jets; outdoors it needs a shelter.
    • The 16 A sockets have no dedicated protection – behind a 32 A breaker they require 16 A protection; in that case choose a model with internal circuit breakers.
    • Terminals limit the supply cable to 5×4 mm².

    Safety and installation notes

    • ⚡ Connection and testing must be done by a qualified electrician, with the supply switched off.
    • ⚡ Protect the supply line with a circuit breaker matched to the cable cross-section, not above 32 A (cable up to 5×4 mm²), and the socket circuit with a 30 mA RCD. The total load of all sockets must not exceed the line breaker.
    • There is no 16 A protection in the box: if the line has a 32 A breaker, the 16 A sockets require 16 A protection. In that case choose a model with internal circuit breakers or protect the line with a breaker not above 16 A (the 32 A sockets are then also limited to 16 A).
    • On construction sites feed the box only from a site distribution board (HD 60364-7-704).
    • IP44 (sockets IP54) applies only with socket lids closed and the cable gland tightened.
    • Do not use a damaged enclosure or sockets; check the cable entry and PE connection regularly.
