    WOOX R7070 is a Zigbee 3.0 hub (gateway) that connects wireless Zigbee sensors, switches, bulbs and radiator thermostats into one system and passes their control over home Wi-Fi to the Tuya / Smart Life or WOOX Home app.

    Key idea:
    Zigbee devices have no Wi-Fi of their own, so they cannot be controlled from a phone without a hub. One R7070 handles up to 50 devices, reduces the load on the Wi-Fi network, and paired Zigbee devices keep working with each other even if Wi-Fi drops.

    How it works

    The hub is powered from 5 V via Micro USB and linked to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network in the app. Zigbee devices – sensors, switches, sockets, bulbs, radiator thermostats – are then paired with it.

    Zigbee devices communicate with the hub over low-power radio (2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.15.4), and the hub passes their states and commands to the cloud and the app. Mains-powered (230 V) devices also act as signal repeaters.

    The result: all Zigbee devices are controlled in one app, scenes and automations work, and battery-powered sensors last a long time because they do not load the Wi-Fi network.
