The Woox R9044 is a wired outdoor 1080p IP camera with an IP65 housing, 104° view and IR up to 10 m. It connects via Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz or an RJ45 cable, records to microSD up to 128 GB and is controlled in the WOOX Home app.

Product description

Smart | Outdoor video surveillance IP camera 2MP | 1080p | IP65 | Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz | RJ45 | R9044 Woox

The Woox R9044 is an outdoor surveillance camera with constant power: it mounts on a façade or under an eave, runs from a 5 V adapter and connects to the network via Wi-Fi or an RJ45 cable. The 1080p image is shown in the WOOX Home app.

Key point:
The R9044 is the only outdoor camera in our group with an RJ45 port: where the Wi-Fi signal at the façade is weak, you can run a network cable and get a stable picture. Because it is powered constantly, it needs no charging, and recording to microSD (up to 128 GB) does not depend on a battery.

Resolution
2 MP (1920 × 1080 px)

Installation
Outdoor, IP65

Connectivity
Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz + RJ45

Night vision
IR up to 10 m

Connectivity and integration

Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz – Wireless connection on 2.4 GHz only – suitable when the router is close to the façade.
RJ45 Ethernet 10/100 Mb/s – Wired connection where Wi-Fi does not reach or is unstable.
WOOX Home app – Live view, motion and sound alerts, playback and two-way talk (iOS / Android).

How it works

Fix the camera to a wall or under an eave, aimed at the entrance or yard. Plug the 5 V 1 A adapter in indoors or in a sealed box; if needed, run a network cable to the RJ45 connector.

In the WOOX Home app the camera connects via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or cable. It detects motion and sound and sends alerts, and at night switches on IR illumination up to 10 m.

The result is a continuous 1080p outdoor view on your phone, recordings on a microSD card up to 128 GB and the option to speak through the camera.

Why choose the R9044?
Constant power and RJ45 – the camera never runs flat or drops off, even when the yard Wi-Fi is weak.

Google Nest Cam G3AL9 – battery 1080p HDR camera, IP54, Google Home, €98.99.

Where is it used?

House entrance or terrace
Yard and parking spot
Farm building with power
Rear entrance of a shop or workshop
Garage door
Homestead with a network cable to the façade

Use by need

Homeowners whose router is far from the yard.
An RJ45 cable to the façade ensures a stable picture where Wi-Fi keeps dropping.

Those who don't want to charge batteries.
The camera runs constantly from a 5 V adapter – no flat batteries in winter.

Small workshop owners.
A round-the-clock view of the back door and recording to microSD without a paid cloud.

Practical use

If the yard gate is 25 m from the house and Wi-Fi there keeps dropping, run a network cable and connect the R9044 via RJ45: the 1080p image with IR up to 10 m will be stable, and the adapter can be hidden in a sealed box under the eave.

Pros

IP65 outdoor housing
Wi-Fi and RJ45 in one camera
No charging – constant power
microSD up to 128 GB
Two-way audio

Cons / limitations

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
1080p resolution
Needs a power cable and a place for the adapter
Fixed angle – does not rotate
microSD not included

Safety and installation notes

The power adapter is not an outdoor product: install it indoors or in a sealed box (IP65 or higher).
Seal cable entries and leave a drip loop so water does not run into the connectors.
Use a stable ladder and fixings suitable for the surface when mounting at height.
Use a strong password for the WOOX Home account and keep the firmware updated.
GDPR: do not film neighbours' plots or the street more than necessary; mark the monitored zone.
