    SONOFF PIR3-RF is a wireless passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor working on 433 MHz radio. It detects motion up to 8 m away within a 100° angle and sends a signal to SONOFF RF Bridge R2 or RF receivers.

    Key idea:
    A simple and affordable way to automate lighting or get motion notifications without wiring. In the app, the sensor is visible through RF Bridge R2, and without a hub it can directly control an RF receiver.

    How it works

    The PIR sensor detects a change in thermal radiation when a person moves in the detection zone and sends a 433 MHz radio signal.

    The signal is received by SONOFF RF Bridge R2, which passes the event to the eWeLink app – from there scenes, notifications and other SONOFF devices are linked.

    The sensor is powered by a CR2450 battery and mounted with 3M adhesive tape or on a separate Motion Sensor-BASE stand.

    Practical use

    If the basement light is often left on, PIR3-RF is stuck to the wall, paired with RF Bridge R2, and an eWeLink scene is set: motion switches on the MINIR4 relay, and after 3 minutes without motion the light switches off.
