• Aluminium conductor: cable lugs, terminals and installation methods suitable for aluminium or Al/Cu connections must be used.
• Class 2 conductor: the cable is intended for fixed installation and is not designed for continuously moving or frequently flexed connections.
• Large cable cross-section: installation requires consideration of cable bending possibilities, entry dimensions and sufficient space in the electrical panel.
• Permissible current is not the same under all conditions: the actual cable load capacity depends on the installation method, temperature, grouping and other installation conditions.

At an industrial site, a fixed electrical supply line needs to be installed between the main distribution board and another electrical distribution point. Based on the expected load, line length, voltage drop and installation conditions, the designer determines that a 4x120mm² aluminium cable is suitable. Part of the cable is laid underground, while another section is routed through a cable duct. XLPE insulation and the PVC sheath allow the cable to be used under these conditions, while the UV-resistant black sheath is suitable for sections of the line installed outdoors.
