Decorative steel radiator grille – cover | for 4-section cast iron radiator | metal | 390x610x140mm | brown | DRG4 br
DRG4 br is a decorative steel cover for a sectional cast iron radiator, size 4 sections. Outer dimensions 390×610×140 mm (W×H×D), colour brown, front panel standard (non-perforated). The cover encloses the front and top of the radiator, hides an old unit and reduces the risk of direct contact with the hot surface.
Key point:
Replacing an old cast iron radiator is costly: the system has to be drained and the pipework altered. A cover solves the appearance and safety issue without plumbing work. The critical step is choosing the size: the section count in the name is the manufacturer's size designation, while fit depends on the actual radiator dimensions.Dimensions (W×H×D)

The cover is a bent steel sheet housing with front and top sections, finished with a polymer coating. It is placed in front of the radiator and fixed through Ø8 mm holes. Fasteners are not included, so choose screws and plugs to suit the wall material.
The standard front panel with decorative openings lets air pass through: cooler air enters from below, warms up at the radiator and rises through the panel and the top. Convection is maintained, but the cover blocks part of the radiant heat – as any radiator screen does.
The result is a neat, uniform radiator finish without changing the pipework. The product has no side panels: if the radiator ends are visible, side panels (610×140 mm) are purchased separately.
Why choose DRG4 br?
One product hides the radiator and separates it from accidental touch, with no changes to the heating system. The range covers 5 sizes and 4 colours, so one style can be kept across a room or building.Technical specifications

A clear size range and fixed dimensions make ordering for several sites simple.Practical use
If you are renovating a room and do not plan to replace the cast iron radiator, measure the radiator width including connections, its height and its projection from the wall to the front. If all dimensions are smaller than 390×610×140 mm and there is room for the thermostatic valve, the DRG4 br cover will fit – it can be fixed without draining the system.Pros
- Hides the radiator without pipework changes
- Reduces the risk of contact with a hot surface
- Air circulation is maintained
- 5 sizes and 4 colours in one range
- Steel construction with polymer coating
- Easy-to-clean surface
Cons / limitations
- Part of the radiant heat is blocked – this may be noticeable in very cold rooms
- Fasteners are not included
- Side panels are sold separately
- Fixed dimensions – the radiator must be measured accurately
- The cover itself gets warm – it is not thermal insulation
Safety and installation notes
- Install when the radiator has cooled down.
- Keep access to the thermostatic valve and the air vent.
- Fix the cover securely to the wall, especially where children are present.
- Choose fasteners to suit the wall material (concrete, brick, plasterboard).
- Do not cover the unit with fabric or dry laundry on it – this blocks the airflow.
- Do not seal the bottom edge – cooler air reaches the radiator through it.

No – the cover is fixed through Ø8 mm holes, and screws and plugs should be chosen to suit the wall material. Will the cover reduce heating?
Convection is maintained, but part of the radiant heat is blocked, so the effect may be noticeable in cold rooms. Can the radiator sides be covered?
Yes, side panels 610×140 mm are purchased separately.Which sizes and colours are available?
