LOTO safety padlock | long Ø6 mm shackle, 76 mm | chrome-plated steel | key retained when open | red | ES-BD-R8525
Personal LOTO safety padlock with a long 76 mm chrome-plated hardened steel shackle – for cases where the lockout point is deeper or thicker and a short shackle does not reach. ABS body; the key cannot be removed while the padlock is open. Supplied with 2 sets of warning labels for the owner’s details.
Main idea:
The long shackle makes it possible to lock valve lockouts, thick lockout hasps or several accessories at once. Nobody will switch the equipment on while your padlock hangs on it, and key retaining prevents the padlock from being left open.Shackle

2 sets of warning labelsOperating principle
The equipment is isolated with a power isolating device, and the padlock is hung on its lockout point, a valve lockout or a lockout hasp.
The long 76 mm shackle reaches around thicker or deeper lockout points. The key can be removed only once the padlock is locked.
A label with the worker’s name and department is stuck on the body – it is immediately clear whose padlock it is.
What are the benefits of this LOTO padlock?
Where a standard 38–39 mm shackle is too short, this padlock lets you lock out the equipment without additional adapters.Technical specifications

A personal padlock with labels for the worker’s details – clear accountability. For the maintenance supervisor.
One padlock suits both valve lockouts and electrical equipment.Practical use
If a gate valve with a thick lockout device has to be locked out, the long 76 mm shackle passes through the lockout hole where a standard padlock would not reach. The valve cannot be opened until the padlock is removed.Pros
- Long 76 mm shackle
- Key cannot be removed while open
- Chrome-plated hardened steel
- Labels for owner details
- Resistant to impact, UV, corrosion
Cons / limitations
- The shackle is made of steel and conducts electricity – do not hang it near live parts
- Designed for work safety, not for theft protection
- In tight spaces the long shackle may get in the way – choose a padlock with a 39 mm shackle there
Safety and installation notes
- ⚡ Locked-out equipment does not mean there is no voltage – before touching, verify the absence of voltage.
- Lock the power isolating device, not the control button.
- When locking out valves, release the pressure from the system before starting work.
- Fill in the label: name, department, date.
- Keep the key with you, do not leave it at the workplace.
The Lithuanian Rules for Safety When Operating Electrical Installations (item 80/81) require measures to ensure that disconnected equipment cannot be switched on automatically or by mistake (item 80). A personal LOTO safety padlock is a practical way to meet this requirement. The sign “Do not switch on! Work in progress” („Nejungti! Įrenginiuose dirbama“) is also hung on the device (item 81).Quick selection guide
