  • Wireless crane remote control | 2 buttons + START/STOP | 1 speed | 868 MHz | 12–440 V AC/DC | 10 A relays | IP65 | ES-21-2S

    Code: ES-21-2S

Compact F21-type radio remote with 2 direction buttons, START and STOP – for one motion. 10 A receiver relays, 868 MHz link, IP65, receiver version from 12–440 V AC/DC to match the control circuit.

  • Wireless crane remote ES-21-2S – 2 buttons, START/STOP, 868 MHz, 12–440 V AC/DC receiver

ES-21-2S is a compact single-speed radio remote with 2 direction buttons (up / down), START and STOP. The transmitter sends the command over 868 MHz to the receiver, whose relays switch the contactor coils – the motor is always switched by a contactor. Suitable for hoists, crane beams, winches and lifts.

    Key point:
ES-21-2S is meant for machines that need only one motion – hoisting up and down. The 10 A receiver relays have margin for contactor coils, and the receiver version is chosen from the 12–440 V AC/DC range, so the remote connects to the existing control circuit without an extra transformer.

    How it works

The receiver is mounted in or next to the crane panel and supplied from the control circuit voltage (12–440 V AC/DC). Direction relays are wired into the contactor coil circuit and the STOP / MAIN relay into the main contactor KM0 coil; limit switches and NC interlocking of opposite directions stay in the circuit.

Pressing START makes the receiver energise the main contactor KM0 and the direction buttons become active. While a button is held, the relay for that direction is on; when released, the motion stops. STOP de-energises KM0, and on loss of the radio link the machine must stop – verify this during commissioning (EN 60204-32).

The operator is not tied to a pendant: they walk beside the load, see it up close and control the motion with one hand.

    Why choose ES-21-2S?
ES-21-2S replaces a two-button pendant without rebuilding the circuit: the relays are wired in place of the existing button contacts. 10 A relays and IP65 protection suit both a workshop and an outdoor yard.

    Technical specifications

    Transmitter supply Batteries
    Protection class IP65

    Main functions

    • 2 direction buttons – up / down, single speed
    • START – the system is enabled only by a deliberate action
    • STOP – de-energises the main contactor
    • 868 MHz radio – EU SRD band, up to ~150 m in open space
    • 12–440 V AC/DC receiver – connects to a control circuit of the same voltage
    • 10 A relays – ample margin for contactor coil currents
    • IP65 – protection against dust and water jets

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-21-4S – 4 buttons, single speed – when both hoisting and travel are needed
    • ES-21-4D – 4 two-step buttons, 2 speeds – for two-speed hoists
    • ES-F21-2S+ – 2 buttons + twist-release mushroom emergency STOP on the transmitter, 24–440 V AC/DC receiver
    • EL-F21-2S-TX – 2 buttons + START, up to ~100 m, 24–440 V AC/DC receiver

    Where is it used?

    • Electric hoists and crane beams
    • Single-speed overhead and gantry cranes
    • Electric winches
    • Lifts and lifting platforms
    • Workshops, production halls and warehouses
    • Lifting equipment on construction sites

    Use by need

    For the electrician
the receiver relays connect to the existing contactor circuit – pendant button functions move to radio channels
    For a manufacturing plant
one operator works without a helper and sees the load up close
For a construction site / warehouse
up to ~150 m in open space, battery transmitter – no cables underfoot

    Practical use

If an electric hoist in a workshop is operated from a pendant whose cable snags on equipment, the ES-21-2S receiver is wired into the same contactor coil circuit and the operator lifts the load from a safe distance.

    Pros

    • 2 buttons + START/STOP – the simplest control for one motion
    • 10 A relays – margin for contactor coils
    • Receiver version 12–440 V AC/DC – fits various control circuits
    • 868 MHz – EU SRD band
    • IP65 protection

    Cons / limitations

    • Single speed only – for a two-speed drive choose LCC-202 or ES-21-4D
    • One motion only – for hoisting and travel choose ES-21-4S
    • If a twist-release mushroom emergency STOP is needed on the transmitter, choose ES-F21-2S+

    Safety and installation notes

    • The receiver relays switch contactor coils only – motor current must never flow through them.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit and contactor coil voltage.
    • The STOP / MAIN relay de-energises the main contactor KM0; during commissioning check that the crane stops when the transmitter is switched off or the link is lost (EN 60204-32).
    • Limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocking of opposite directions stay in the circuit – the radio remote does not replace them.
    • Before installation or repair, switch off and lock the main isolator (LOTO).

    Quick selection guide

    2 buttons + START/STOP
    868 MHz
    12–440 V AC/DC
    10 A relays, IP65

    Check before ordering:

    • When ordering, state the control circuit voltage – the receiver version is selected from the 12–440 V AC/DC range and must match the contactor coil voltage.
    • 868 MHz is an EU SRD band; if used outside the EU, check that the frequency is permitted there.
    • 2 buttons control one motion (up / down) – for travel as well you need a 4- or 6-button remote.

    FAQ

Can ES-21-2S be connected directly to the motor?
No. The receiver relays are for the control circuit: they switch the contactor coils, and the contactors switch the motor.
What receiver supply voltage is needed?
The same as the control circuit and contactor coils. The receiver is supplied in versions within 12–440 V AC/DC – the version is selected for your circuit.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
The receiver must de-energise the main contactor and the machine stops. Test this function during commissioning, before handing the equipment over for use.
Can it control a two-speed hoist?
    No – ES-21-2S has single-step buttons. For a two-speed drive choose LCC-202 with two-step buttons.
    What is the operating range?
Up to ~150 m in open space. Steel structures and walls shorten the range, so test it at the actual workplace.
    Are limit switches still needed?
Yes. The radio remote only replaces the push-button station – limit switches and opposite-direction interlocking stay in the circuit.

    Who is ES-21-2S for?

ES-21-2S is a 2-button single-speed radio remote with an 868 MHz link and a 12–440 V AC/DC receiver. Choose it when an existing contactor circuit needs simple wireless control instead of a pendant.
