  • Wireless crane remote control | 4 buttons + STOP + key | 1 speed | 310–320 MHz | 220/110 V AC | IP65 | ES-21-4S

    Code: ES-21-4S

Compact 4-button wireless remote for a single-speed hoist or winch: two motions, two directions each. It has a mushroom STOP and a removable OFF/ON/START key, so no unauthorised person can start the crane.

  • Wireless crane remote control ES-21-4S – 4 buttons, 1 speed, OFF/ON/START key

ES-21-4S is a radio remote for a simple crane, hoist or winch with two motions. The operator presses a button on the transmitter, the signal goes by radio to the receiver, and the receiver relays switch the coils of the corresponding contactors.

    Key point:
Four buttons give two motions in two directions each, e.g. hoisting and trolley travel. The OFF/ON/START key switch and the mushroom STOP let you control who starts the crane and when; the 10 A relays are for the control circuit only.

    How it works

The receiver is mounted on the crane or hoist and wired into the control circuit: supply from the same voltage as the contactor coils, relay outputs to the direction contactor coils, the MAIN relay to the main contactor KM0.

Turning the key to START energises the main contactor. Pressing the mushroom STOP or losing the radio link drops the MAIN relay and the crane stops. STOP is released by twisting the mushroom.

The operator controls the crane from a safe distance and watches the load, not a pendant cable. With the key removed, nobody else can use the remote.

    Why choose ES-21-4S?
A straightforward choice when you need only two motions at one speed and want to get rid of the pendant. The key and mushroom STOP give control that the cheapest remotes often lack.

    Protection rating IP65
    Operating temperature −35…+75 °C

    Main functions

    • 4 direction buttons – two motions, e.g. hoist up / down and trolley left / right
    • OFF / ON / START key – with the key removed nobody can use the remote
    • Mushroom STOP – latches when pressed, released only by a deliberate twist
    • MAIN relay – drops the main contactor on STOP or loss of signal
    • 10 A, 250 V AC relays – ample margin for contactor coils
    • LED battery indicator – change batteries in time, not mid-lift

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-21-4D – Same housing and 4 buttons, but two-step – 2 speeds. Choose it if the hoist has a 2-speed motor or a frequency inverter.
    • ES-21-2S – 2 buttons – one motion only (up / down). Enough for a simple lift or winch.
    • ES-F21-4SE – Compact 4-button remote in the 868 MHz band – an EU SRD frequency when 310–320 MHz is not suitable.
    • ES-F21-E1-TX – 6 buttons + START/STOP and a 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – when you need 3 motions.

    Where is it used?

    • Electric hoists with hoisting and trolley travel
    • Small single-girder overhead and gantry cranes in workshops
    • Electric winches with two motions
    • Lifting equipment in warehouses and repair shops
    • Replacing a pendant when the cable gets in the way or keeps breaking

    Use by need

    For electricians
Simple wiring: supply, MAIN and 4 direction relays – like pendant contacts, only via radio.
    For manufacturing companies
The key means only a trained operator can use the remote; fewer unplanned starts.
    For construction sites / warehouses
The operator walks next to the load and sees the surroundings, no cable to drag across the site.

    Practical use

If a workshop hoist lifts and travels along a beam and the pendant cable keeps catching on workpieces, then connecting the ES-21-4S receiver to the existing contactor coils removes the cable, and at the end of the shift the key stays with the foreman.

    Pros

    • Removable OFF / ON / START key – protection against unauthorised use
    • Latching mushroom STOP
    • 10 A, 250 V AC receiver relays
    • IP65 transmitter, operation at −35…+75 °C
    • Standard 2 × AA batteries with LED indicator

    Cons / limitations

    • 1 speed only – for a 2-speed hoist choose ES-21-4D
    • 2 motions only – for three motions choose ES-F21-E1-TX
    • 310–320 MHz is not a standard EU SRD band – for the EU market ES-F21-4SE (868 MHz) is easier
    • Range up to ~75 m – may be short in large halls

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver relays switch contactor coils only, never the motor directly – 10 A is for the control circuit.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit (contactor coil) voltage.
    • Wire the MAIN relay into the main contactor KM0 circuit – STOP and loss of signal must stop the crane (EN 60204-32).
    • Limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocking of opposite directions stay in the circuit – the remote does not replace them.
    • Before installation or repair, switch off the main isolator and lock it out (LOTO).
    • After installation, test every direction and STOP without a load.

    Quick selection guide

    4 buttons
    1 speed
    220/110 V AC
    IP65

    Check before ordering:

    • Contactor coil voltage = receiver supply (220 V AC or 110 V AC version).
    • 310–320 MHz – check whether the frequency is permitted in your country.
    • How many motions and speeds you need: 2 motions, 1 speed – this model; 2 speeds – ES-21-4D.

    FAQ

Can the receiver be connected directly to the hoist motor?
No. The 10 A relays are for contactor coils; the motor is switched by contactors.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
The receiver drops the MAIN relay and the main contactor, and the crane stops. Test this after installation.
    What is the key for?
The OFF / ON / START key starts the system. With the key removed, nobody can use the remote.
    What is the operating range?
Up to ~75 m in open space. Steel structures and walls reduce the range.
Is it suitable for a 2-speed hoist?
No, this is a single-speed remote. For 2 speeds choose ES-21-4D.
    Which batteries does it use?
2 × AA. The LED indicator shows when to replace them.

    ES-21-4S – 4 buttons, 1 speed, key
