  • Wireless crane remote control | 10 buttons + START/STOP | 1 speed | 433 / 315 MHz | 24–440 V AC/DC | IP65 | ES-F23-BB

    Code: ES-F23-BB

Single-speed crane remote with 6 direction and 4 auxiliary buttons (1–4), START and STOP. 24–440 V AC/DC IP65 receiver – when, besides hoist, bridge and trolley, auxiliary functions are needed.

  • Wireless crane remote ES-F23-BB – 10 buttons + START/STOP, 24–440 V AC/DC receiver

ES-F23-BB is a single-speed radio remote for a crane that needs auxiliary commands in addition to three motion axes. The transmitter command reaches the receiver by radio, and its relays energise the coils of contactors or auxiliary circuits.

    Key point:
Six direction buttons (UP/DOWN, EAST/WEST, SOUTH/NORTH) control hoist, bridge and trolley, while buttons 1–4 remain for extra functions – e.g. a beacon, horn or a second hoist. One transmitter instead of a pendant plus separate switches.
    Buttons
    10 + START + STOP
    Speeds
    1
    Range
    up to ~100 m
    Receiver
    24–440 V AC/DC

    How it works

The receiver (188×165 mm) is mounted on the crane and supplied with the control circuit voltage within 24–440 V AC/DC. Direction relays go into the contactor coil circuits, relays 1–4 into auxiliary device control, MAIN into KM0.

START energises the MAIN relay and the main contactor, STOP drops it out. A direction relay is held while its button is pressed. On loss of link the receiver must drop the MAIN relay.

The operator runs all crane and auxiliary functions from one transmitter while standing at a safe distance from the load.

    Why choose ES-F23-BB?
The single-speed remote with the most buttons in this 24–440 V AC/DC group. Choose it when 6 directions are not enough and extra commands are needed.

    Main functions

    • 6 direction buttons – hoist, bridge and trolley
    • Auxiliary buttons 1–4 – for extra functions
    • START / STOP – main contactor control
    • 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – suits various control voltages
    • 2 × AA supply – batteries are easy to replace
    • IP65 – for workshops and outdoor yards

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-24-10S – Also 10 buttons and 1 speed, but a 310/410 MHz version and a 110/220 V AC receiver (optionally 24/48 V AC, 12/24 V DC).
    • ES-F21-E1-TX – Only 6 direction buttons + START/STOP, narrower transmitter with a mushroom STOP.
    • ES-ML-K6 – 6 buttons, 868 MHz, IP68 – for wet environments, no auxiliary buttons.
    • ES-F21-E2B-8 – 2-speed buttons, 230 V AC receiver – when slow and fast speeds are needed.

    Where is it used?

    • Overhead cranes with an extra beacon or horn
    • Cranes with two hoists
    • Metalworking and assembly shops
    • Warehouse and logistics cranes
    • Outdoor gantry cranes (IP65)

    Use by need

    For the electrician
One receiver instead of several separate controls; the universal supply means no intermediate transformer.
    For a manufacturing plant
The operator switches auxiliary functions from the same remote – less walking to the panel.
For a construction site / warehouse
Up to ~100 m in open space, IP65 – suitable for outdoor loading areas.

    Practical use

If a workshop crane has 400 V AC contactor coils and a beacon, supply the receiver with 400 V AC, wire the 6 direction relays into the coil circuits, button 1 into the beacon relay and MAIN into KM0. Limit switches and NC interlocks stay.

    Pros

    • 10 control buttons + START/STOP
    • Auxiliary buttons 1–4
    • Universal 24–440 V AC/DC receiver
    • 2 × AA batteries
    • IP65

    Cons / limitations

    • Single speed only – for 2-speed control, ES-F23-6D or ES-F21-E2B-8 with a 2-speed motor or frequency inverter.
    • The 315 MHz version is usually not an EU SRD band – choose 433 MHz.
    • Larger receiver (188×165 mm) – plan space on the crane.

    Safety and installation notes

    • The receiver relays switch the contactor coils, not the motor directly – relay contacts are for the control circuit only.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit (coil) voltage; range 24–440 V AC/DC.
    • Wire the STOP / MAIN relay so that it drops out the main contactor KM0. Loss of radio link must stop the crane (EN 60204-32) – test this during commissioning.
    • Limit switches (SQ) and the NC interlock between opposite directions stay in the circuit – the radio remote does not replace them.
    • For crane repairs, apply LOTO on the main isolator. The STOP button is not isolation from the supply.
    • Do not assign load-holding functions (electromagnet, grab release) to buttons 1–4 without an additional safety circuit.

    Quick selection guide

    10 buttons + START/STOP
    1 speed
    24–440 V AC/DC
    IP65

    Check before ordering:

    • Contactor coil voltage is within 24–440 V AC/DC and equals the receiver supply.
    • Order the 433 MHz version; 315 MHz is usually not an EU SRD band – check that the frequency is permitted in your country.
    • How many directions and auxiliary functions you need, and whether 1 speed is enough.

    FAQ

Can the receiver be connected directly to the motor?
No. The receiver relays drive the contactor coils and the contactors switch the motor – exactly as with a pendant control.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
The receiver must drop the MAIN relay and the main contactor so the crane stops (EN 60204-32). Test it at commissioning by switching the transmitter off during a movement.
Which control voltage can be used?
    The receiver is supplied with 24–440 V AC/DC, so it suits 24 V, 48 V, 110 V, 230 V or 400 V control circuits. Receiver supply must equal the coil voltage.
    What are buttons 1–4 for?
For auxiliary functions – e.g. a beacon, horn or a second hoist. The function depends on what is wired to the matching relay.
Which frequency version should I choose?
In the EU – the 433 MHz version. 315 MHz is usually not a permitted SRD band in the EU, so check local requirements.
What batteries does the transmitter use?
2 × AA batteries, easy to replace on site.
