  • Wireless crane remote control | 10 buttons + START/STOP | 2 speeds | 310/410 MHz | 110/220 V AC | IP65 | ES-24-10D

    Code: ES-24-10D

10 two-step pushbutton radio remote for crane motions and auxiliary functions: step 1 – slow, step 2 – fast speed. Designed for cranes with 2-speed motors or frequency inverters.

  • Wireless crane remote control ES-24-10D – 10 buttons, 2 speeds

The ES-24-10D is an industrial radio remote for operating a crane from a safe distance. When a button is pressed, the transmitter sends a coded command, the receiver relays energise the matching contactor coils, and the contactors switch the motors. Control range is up to ~150 m in open space.

    Key point:
10 buttons cover three motion axes and still leave buttons for auxiliary functions (e.g. a second hoist or lighting). Two-step buttons let you move the load quickly and set it down slowly and precisely.

    How it works

The receiver is mounted in or next to the crane control cabinet. Its supply voltage must match the contactor coil control circuit voltage (110/220 V AC), and the relay outputs are wired to the direction and speed contactor coils.

Turning the key and pressing START energises the MAIN relay and the main contactor KM0. Pressing the mushroom STOP or losing the radio link must drop out KM0 and stop the crane – this is an EN 60204-32 requirement; verify it during commissioning. Two-step button: step 1 – slow speed, step 2 – fast speed.

The operator stands where the load is best visible instead of next to a pendant. Slow speed helps set the load down precisely, fast speed saves time on travel.

    Why choose the ES-24-10D?
One remote controls the whole crane with two speeds and auxiliary functions – no second remote or pendant cable needed. The operator works from a safe position with a clear view of the load.

    Receiver dimensions / weight ~165 × 114 × 254 mm, 3.18 kg

    Main functions

    • Mushroom STOP – drops out main contactor KM0 and stops all motions
    • START and key switch – the remote cannot be switched on without the key
    • Two-step buttons – step 1 for slow, step 2 for fast speed
    • 4.3 billion ID codes – the transmitter controls only its own receiver, neighbouring cranes do not interfere
    • LED battery indicator – replace the 2 × AA in time
    • 10 A relays – for switching contactor coils

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-24-10S – Same 10 buttons but 1 speed – for cranes without 2-speed motors or inverters.
    • ES-24-8D – 8 two-step buttons with R1/R2 – when three axes and two functions are enough.
    • ES-24-12D – 12 buttons, 2 speeds – when even more functions are needed.

    Where is it used?

    • Overhead cranes in production halls
    • Jib and wall-mounted cranes at workstations
    • Gantry cranes in warehouses and steel yards
    • Electric hoists and winches
    • Transfer carts and rail trolleys
    • Replacing old pendant controls with radio control

    Use by need

    For electricians
Clear logic: relay → contactor coil, STOP → KM0. The existing crane circuit stays, only the control station changes.
    For manufacturers
The operator works from a safe position with sight of the load – fewer impacts and less downtime.
    For construction / warehouse yards
IP65 transmitter and control up to ~150 m – suitable for outdoor and unheated areas.

    Practical use

If a workshop has an overhead crane with a 2-speed hoist motor and frequency inverters for bridge and trolley, then the ES-24-10D relays are wired to the hoist contactor coils and the inverter speed inputs, and the 2 spare buttons go to, for example, a warning beacon and lighting.

    Pros

    • Two-step buttons – precise set-down and fast travel
    • Key switch and START – protection against accidental start-up
    • 4.3 billion ID codes – several cranes in one hall
    • Button life up to 2 million cycles
    • IP65, −35…+75 °C – also for unheated areas

    Cons / limitations

    • 310/410 MHz is not an EU SRD band; for the EU market 433 MHz models such as ES-F23-BB are usually a better fit
    • 10 A relays are for the control circuit only – contactors are required
    • 2 speeds require a 2-speed motor or a frequency inverter; for a simple crane – ES-24-10S
    • The receiver weighs 3.18 kg – needs a solid mounting point

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver relays switch contactor coils only – motor current flows through contactors, not through the remote.
    • Wire the STOP / MAIN relay into the main contactor KM0 circuit: STOP and loss of the radio link must stop the crane (EN 60204-32).
    • Keep limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocks between opposite directions in the control circuit – the remote does not replace them.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit voltage.
    • Wire the second-step relays to the fast-speed contactors or the frequency inverter speed inputs.
    • Before installation or repair, open the main isolator and lock it out (LOTO).

    Check before ordering:

    • Contactor coil voltage = receiver supply voltage.
    • Check whether 310/410 MHz is permitted in your country.
    • How many directions, speeds and auxiliary functions your crane needs.

    FAQ

Can the receiver switch a motor directly?
No. The relays (10 A) are for the control circuit: they switch the contactor coils, and the contactors carry the motor current.
Which receiver supply voltage should I choose?
The same as the contactor coil circuit voltage. The base version is 110/220 V AC; other options are 24/48 V AC and 12/24 V DC.
Is 310/410 MHz permitted in Europe?
These are frequency versions for the US market; in the EU the 433 MHz band is most common. Check whether the frequency is permitted in your country before use.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
Under EN 60204-32 the crane must stop: the STOP/MAIN relay drops out main contactor KM0. Verify this during commissioning.
How do the two speeds work?
Each button has two steps: half-press – slow speed, full press – fast speed. A 2-speed motor or frequency inverter is required.
What batteries does the transmitter use?
2 × AA. The LED indicator shows when to replace them.
