  • Wireless crane remote control | 12 buttons + START/STOP | 1 speed | 110/220 V AC | IP65 | ES-24-12S

    Code: ES-24-12S

12 single-speed pushbutton radio remote for crane motions and auxiliary functions. Suits cranes with direct-on-line motors where many functions are needed but one speed is enough.

  • Wireless crane remote control ES-24-12S – 12 buttons, 1 speed

The ES-24-12S is an industrial radio remote for operating a crane from a safe distance. When a button is pressed, the transmitter sends a coded command, the receiver relays energise the matching contactor coils, and the contactors switch the motors. Control range is up to ~150 m in open space.

    Key point:
When a crane has more than three motions (e.g. two hoists) or extra devices, 12 buttons let you run everything from one remote. Single-speed logic is simple – each button drives one contactor.

    How it works

The receiver is mounted in or next to the crane control cabinet. Its supply voltage must match the contactor coil control circuit voltage (110/220 V AC), and the relay outputs are wired to the direction contactor coils.

Turning the key and pressing START energises the MAIN relay and the main contactor KM0. Pressing the mushroom STOP or losing the radio link must drop out KM0 and stop the crane – this is an EN 60204-32 requirement; verify it during commissioning.

The operator stands where the load is best visible instead of next to a pendant. Single-speed buttons are simple – fewer mistakes when different staff use the remote.

    Why choose the ES-24-12S?
Many control channels without the complexity of two speeds and without costlier drive equipment. Wiring is straightforward: one relay – one contactor coil.

    Technical specifications

    Speeds 1
Control range up to ~150 m in open space
    Receiver supply 110/220 V AC; options: 24/48/110/220 V AC, 12/24 V DC
    Receiver relay contacts 10 A, 250 V AC
Security code 4.3 billion unique ID codes
Transmitter power 2 × AA, LED battery indicator
    Protection rating IP65
    Operating temperature −35…+75 °C

    Main functions

    • Mushroom STOP – drops out main contactor KM0 and stops all motions
    • START and key switch – the remote cannot be switched on without the key
    • Single-speed buttons – one relay drives one contactor coil
    • 4.3 billion ID codes – the transmitter controls only its own receiver, neighbouring cranes do not interfere
    • LED battery indicator – replace the 2 × AA in time
    • 10 A relays – for switching contactor coils

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-24-12D – Same 12 buttons, but two-step – slow and fast speed.
    • ES-24-10S – 10 buttons, 1 speed – three axes and two auxiliary pairs.
    • ES-F23-BB – 10 buttons, 1 speed, 24–440 V AC/DC receiver.

    Where is it used?

    • Overhead cranes in production halls
    • Jib and wall-mounted cranes at workstations
    • Gantry cranes in warehouses and steel yards
    • Electric hoists and winches
    • Transfer carts and rail trolleys
    • Replacing old pendant controls with radio control

    Use by need

    For electricians
Clear logic: relay → contactor coil, STOP → KM0. The existing crane circuit stays, only the control station changes.
    For manufacturers
The operator works from a safe position with sight of the load – fewer impacts and less downtime.
    For construction / warehouse yards
IP65 transmitter and control up to ~150 m – suitable for outdoor and unheated areas.

    Practical use

If the crane has a main and an auxiliary hoist, a bridge and a trolley with single-speed motors, then 8 buttons of the ES-24-12S control these four axes via direction contactors, and the remaining 4 buttons are left for a warning beacon and lighting.

    Pros

    • 12 buttons – up to 6 motion and function pairs on one transmitter
    • Simple single-speed control – easy to wire and train operators
    • Key switch and START – protection against accidental start-up
    • 4.3 billion ID codes – several cranes in one hall
    • IP65, −35…+75 °C – also for unheated areas

    Cons / limitations

    • Radio frequency depends on the version – agree it with us before ordering; a universal 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – ES-F23-BB
    • 10 A relays are for the control circuit only – contactors are required
    • Only 1 speed – for precise positioning choose the ES-24-12D
    • If only three motions are needed, ES-24-8S is enough

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver relays switch contactor coils only – motor current flows through contactors, not through the remote.
    • Wire the STOP / MAIN relay into the main contactor KM0 circuit: STOP and loss of the radio link must stop the crane (EN 60204-32).
    • Keep limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocks between opposite directions in the control circuit – the remote does not replace them.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit voltage.
    • If the crane runs on a frequency inverter, the relays go to the inverter control inputs, not to the motor circuit.
    • Before installation or repair, open the main isolator and lock it out (LOTO).

    Quick selection guide

    Check before ordering:

    • Contactor coil voltage = receiver supply voltage.
    • Agree the radio frequency before ordering and check that it is permitted in your country.
    • How many directions, speeds and auxiliary functions your crane needs.

    FAQ

Can the receiver switch a motor directly?
No. The relays (10 A) are for the control circuit: they switch the contactor coils, and the contactors carry the motor current.
Which receiver supply voltage should I choose?
The same as the contactor coil circuit voltage. The base version is 110/220 V AC; other options are 24/48 V AC and 12/24 V DC.
Which radio frequency does the remote use?
It depends on the version – agree it with us before ordering. In the EU the 433 MHz band is most common; check that the frequency is permitted in your country.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
Under EN 60204-32 the crane must stop: the STOP/MAIN relay drops out main contactor KM0. Verify this during commissioning.
    Can I get two speeds?
No, this is a single-speed remote. If you need slow and fast speed, choose the ES-24-12D.
What batteries does the transmitter use?
2 × AA. The LED indicator shows when to replace them.
