  • Wireless crane remote control | 6 buttons + START + mushroom STOP | 1 speed | 24–440 V AC/DC | IP65 | ES-F21-E1-TX

    Code: ES-F21-E1-TX

Single-speed wireless crane remote: 6 direction buttons, START and a mushroom emergency STOP in a narrow 45 mm transmitter. The 24–440 V AC/DC receiver connects to the existing contactor control circuit.

  • Wireless crane remote ES-F21-E1-TX – 6 buttons, mushroom STOP, 24–440 V AC/DC receiver

ES-F21-E1-TX is a radio remote for a hoist or overhead crane with three motion axes. A button press on the transmitter is sent by radio to the receiver, whose relays energise the matching contactor coils. The contactors still switch the motors – just as with a pendant control.

    Key point:
Six single-speed buttons cover three motion pairs: hoist, bridge and trolley. The mushroom STOP on top is easy to find even with gloves, and the universal receiver supply suits almost any control circuit without an extra transformer.

    How it works

The receiver (205×80 mm) is mounted on the crane or hoist and supplied with the control circuit voltage within 24–440 V AC/DC. Direction relay outputs replace the pendant buttons in the contactor coil circuits.

START energises the MAIN relay and the main contactor, STOP drops it out. A direction relay stays on only while its button is held; on release the contactor drops out. On loss of radio link the receiver must drop the MAIN relay.

The operator walks next to the load, sees the hook-up point and obstacles instead of dragging a cable. Fewer knocks during slinging and no more replacing a torn pendant cable.

    Why choose ES-F21-E1-TX?
A straightforward single-speed remote for a full 3-axis crane with a mushroom STOP on top of the transmitter. A good fit for replacing a worn pendant where the contactor circuit is already in place.

    Main functions

    • 6 direction buttons – hoist, bridge and trolley in both directions
    • Mushroom STOP – found and pressed instantly
    • START button – the main contactor is switched on only by a deliberate action
    • 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – one model for 24 V, 230 V or 400 V control
    • Narrow 45 mm transmitter – comfortable one-hand grip
    • IP65 transmitter – dust and water jets do no harm

How does it differ from similar models?

    • F21-E1B-TX – Same 6 buttons + START/STOP and 24–440 V AC/DC receiver, but a wider 70 mm transmitter with a 2×4 button layout; a mushroom STOP is not specified for it.
    • EL-F21-2S-TX – Only 2 direction buttons + START – for a single axis, e.g. hoisting only.
    • ES-F23-BB – 10 buttons + START/STOP – extra buttons 1–4 for auxiliary functions.
    • ES-F21-E1B(H) – Compact single-speed remote operating in the EU SRD 868 MHz band.

    Where is it used?

    • Hoists with an electric trolley
    • Single- and double-girder overhead cranes
    • Steel fabrication and welding shops
    • Warehouse and logistics lifting equipment
    • Retrofitting old cranes instead of a pendant
    • Outdoor gantry cranes (IP65 transmitter)

    Use by need

    For the electrician
Relay outputs replace the pendant buttons – contactors and circuit stay; the universal supply means fewer variants to stock.
    For a manufacturing plant
The operator works close to the load and sees the slinging – fewer damaged parts and no downtime from a torn cable.
For a construction site / warehouse
Control up to ~100 m in open space; the IP65 transmitter suits dusty and damp conditions.

    Practical use

If the pendant of a workshop crane keeps catching on workpieces and the contactor coils are 230 V AC, supply the receiver from the same 230 V AC circuit, wire the 6 direction relays into the coil circuits instead of the pendant buttons and the MAIN relay into the KM0 circuit. Limit switches and interlocks stay as they were.

    Pros

    • Full 3-axis control – 6 direction buttons
    • Mushroom STOP on top of the transmitter
    • Universal 24–440 V AC/DC receiver supply
    • Narrow one-hand transmitter
    • IP65 transmitter, reinforced ABS housing

    Cons / limitations

    • Single speed only – for smooth positioning choose a 2-speed remote (e.g. ES-F23-6D) with a 2-speed motor or a frequency inverter.
    • No extra buttons for auxiliary functions – for that, ES-F23-BB (10 buttons).
    • Radio frequency and receiver relay current are not stated – confirm before ordering.

    Safety and installation notes

    • The receiver relays switch the contactor coils, not the motor directly – relay contacts are for the control circuit only.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit (coil) voltage; range 24–440 V AC/DC.
    • Wire the STOP / MAIN relay so that it drops out the main contactor KM0. Loss of radio link must stop the crane (EN 60204-32) – test this during commissioning.
    • Limit switches (SQ) and the NC interlock between opposite directions stay in the circuit – the radio remote does not replace them.
    • For crane repairs, apply LOTO on the main isolator. The STOP button is not isolation from the supply.

    Quick selection guide

    6 buttons + START/STOP
    Mushroom STOP
    24–440 V AC/DC
    IP65

    Check before ordering:

    • Contactor coil voltage is within 24–440 V AC/DC and equals the receiver supply.
    • Radio frequency of the set (EU SRD bands – 433 / 868 MHz) – check that the frequency is permitted in your country.
    • Whether 3 axes and 1 speed are enough – slow positioning needs a 2-speed remote.

    FAQ

Can the receiver be connected directly to the motor?
No. The receiver relays drive the contactor coils and the contactors switch the motor – exactly as with a pendant control.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
The receiver must drop the MAIN relay and the main contactor so the crane stops (EN 60204-32). Test it at commissioning by switching the transmitter off during a movement.
Which control voltage can be used?
    The receiver is supplied with 24–440 V AC/DC, so it suits 24 V, 48 V, 110 V, 230 V or 400 V control circuits. Receiver supply must equal the coil voltage.
How does ES-F21-E1-TX differ from F21-E1B-TX?
Buttons and receiver supply are the same. The transmitter differs: ES-F21-E1-TX is narrower (45 mm) with a mushroom STOP, F21-E1B-TX is wider (70 mm) with a 2×4 button layout.
Can it control a 2-speed crane?
    No – the buttons are single-speed. A second speed needs a 2-speed remote, e.g. ES-F23-6D.
What is the real operating range?
Up to ~100 m in open space; less among steel structures. Do not mount the receiver antenna inside a metal box.
