  • Wireless crane remote control | 6 buttons + START/STOP | 1 speed | 868 MHz | IP68 | ES-ML-K6

    Code: ES-ML-K6

MULING radio remote for three motions – hoist, trolley and bridge: 6 direction buttons, START and STOP. 868 MHz link, IP68 protection and a transmitter running on AAA batteries.

  • ES-ML-K6 wireless 6-direction crane remote – 868 MHz, IP68

ES-ML-K6 is a radio control set (transmitter + receiver) for overhead and suspended cranes with three motions: hoist, trolley and bridge. The transmitter sends the command over an 868 MHz link, receiver relays energise contactor coils, and the contactors switch the motors.

    Key point:
Six direction buttons – UP, DOWN, EAST, WEST, SOUTH and NORTH – cover the full motion set of a typical crane in a palm-sized transmitter. The 868 MHz band is allocated in Europe to short-range devices, and IP68 protection allows work outdoors and in wet locations.

    How it works

The receiver is mounted on the crane next to the contactors and supplied with the control circuit voltage – 12 V according to the specification, so the contactor coils must have the same voltage. Six outputs are wired into the hoist, trolley and bridge contactor coil circuits through the limit switches, and STOP into the main contactor (KM0) circuit.

START switches on the main contactor, STOP drops it out and cuts all motions. Direction buttons work only while held. Opposite-direction contactors are NC-interlocked, and if the radio link is lost the receiver must de-energise its outputs and the crane must stop.

The operator walks with the load and controls all three axes from where the path and people around are best visible. The transmitter runs on AAA batteries that are easy to buy anywhere.

    Why choose ES-ML-K6?
One transmitter replaces a 6-direction pendant with START and STOP. The low-voltage receiver suits mobile and 12 V control equipment, and IP68 protection suits outdoor work.

    Main functions

    • 6 direction buttons – hoist, trolley and bridge in one remote
    • START and STOP – switch the main contactor on and off
    • 868 MHz radio – EU SRD band for short-range control
    • IP68 – dust- and water-resistant for outdoor work
    • AAA batteries – easy-to-replace cells
    • Up to ~200 m – control across an open yard

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-F23-BB – 10 buttons (6 directions + 4 auxiliary), universal 24–440 V AC/DC receiver, up to 100 m
    • ESF24-6SHS-6 – 4 directions + START/STOP, 12–24 V AC/DC receiver, IP65
    • ES-ML-K2 – same series for a single motion (UP/DOWN), 230 V AC receiver
    • ES-24-8D – two-step buttons – 2 speeds

    Where is it used?

    • Overhead and suspended cranes with three motions
    • Hoists with a motorised trolley
    • Lifting equipment in outdoor yards and quays
    • Mobile and 12 V-controlled lifting mechanisms
    • Replacing a 6-direction pendant with a radio remote
    • Conveyors and transfer carts with several directions

    Use by need

    For the electrician
Six outputs map directly to 6 contactor coils – the wiring is clear and directions are marked on the buttons.
    For a manufacturing plant
One operator controls the whole crane from a safe distance, with no pendant hanging from the trolley.
For a construction site / warehouse yard
IP68 protection and up to ~200 m range suit outdoor work.

    Practical use

If a low-voltage-controlled lifting mechanism with hoist, trolley and bridge works in an outdoor yard, the ES-ML-K6 receiver is wired in place of the pendant: 6 outputs to the direction contactor coils through the limit switches, STOP to the main contactor circuit. If the contactor coils are 230 V AC, a receiver of another voltage is required.

    Pros

    • All three crane motions in one transmitter
    • 868 MHz – EU SRD band
    • IP68 protection
    • Up to ~200 m in open space
    • AAA batteries are easy to get

    Cons / limitations

    • Single speed – for a 2-speed crane choose ES-24-8D
    • Low-voltage receiver – for 230 V AC or 24–440 V circuits choose ES-F23-BB
    • Relay contact rating not specified – switch contactor coils only
    • No numbered auxiliary buttons 1–4 for extra functions – ES-F23-BB has them

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver relays switch contactor coils only – never connect motors directly
    • Wire the STOP output into the main contactor (KM0) circuit; on loss of signal the crane must stop (EN 60204-32)
    • Limit switches (SQ) and the NC interlock between opposite directions stay in the circuit
    • Before connecting, check the supply voltage on the receiver label
    • Before installation or repair, open the main isolator and apply LOTO
    • After installation, check that each direction matches its button and that STOP stops all motions

    Quick selection guide

    6 buttons + START/STOP
    868 MHz
    12 V receiver
    IP68

    Check before ordering:

    • Contactor coil voltage matches the receiver supply voltage (12 V per specification – confirm the version)
    • 868 MHz is permitted in your country and does not interfere with other radio systems on site
    • You need 3 motions (6 directions) and one speed is enough

    FAQ

How many motions does ES-ML-K6 control?
Three: hoist (UP/DOWN), trolley and bridge (EAST/WEST, SOUTH/NORTH).
What is the receiver supply voltage?
12 V according to the specification. As receiver versions may differ, confirm the voltage when ordering and check the label.
Can 230 V AC contactors be connected?
    Only if the receiver is a 230 V AC version. For a universal 24–440 V AC/DC receiver choose ES-F23-BB.
    What is the operating range?
Up to ~200 m in open space. Steel structures and walls reduce the range.
What batteries does the transmitter use?
    AAA batteries.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
The receiver must de-energise its outputs and the crane must stop. This must be checked during commissioning.

    ES-ML-K6 in brief
