LOTO dielectric lockout hasp | for 4 padlocks | Ø3 mm nylon shackle | ABS body | yellow | ES-BD-8341
LOTO lockout hasp that allows up to 4 workers to lock the same isolation point at the same time – each with their own padlock. The Ø3 mm shackle made of glass-fibre reinforced nylon is non-conductive and designed for narrow holes – small switch handles, lockout devices and equipment whose lockout hole is too small for a standard 6 mm shackle. The yellow ABS body with a writing area is clearly visible on the equipment.
Main idea:
When several people work on the equipment, one padlock is not enough. The equipment cannot be switched on until the last padlock is removed – each worker controls their own safety.Number of padlocks

yellowOperating principle
The equipment is isolated with a power isolating device, and the Ø3 mm shackle of the hasp is inserted into its lockout hole.
The hasp is closed, and each worker attaches their personal LOTO padlock to a free hole.
The hasp cannot be opened while at least one padlock hangs on it – workers remove their padlocks only when they have finished their work.
What are the benefits of this lockout hasp?
Several workers can work safely at one isolation point, with no need for several separate lockout points or key handovers.Technical specifications

- Up to 4 personal padlocks – each worker locks out with their own padlock.
- Ø3 mm shackle – for narrow holes – small switch handles, lockout devices and equipment whose lockout hole is too small for a standard 6 mm shackle.
- Non-conductive nylon shackle – suitable for electrical installation environments, no metal conductor between the equipment and the padlocks.
- The hasp cannot be opened while at least one padlock hangs on it.
- Writing area – for equipment or work information.
- Yellow colour – clearly visible on switchboards and equipment.
Where is it used?
- Handles of small circuit breakers and devices with narrow holes
- Distribution boards and control cabinets
- Motor starting equipment
- Production lines and machinery
- Maintenance work with several crews
- Joint work of contractors and in-house staff
Use by need
For the power engineer.
Several workers lock the same isolation point – the equipment is switched on only when everyone has finished. For the work supervisor.
You can see at a glance how many people are still working on the equipment. For the safety engineer.
A group lockout device for the LOTO procedure without complicated key handovers.Practical use
If an electrician, a mechanic and a contractor are working on a motor drive, the disconnector is switched off, a lockout hasp is placed on it and each of them attaches their own padlock. The drive is switched on only when all three have removed their padlocks.Pros
- Up to 4 workers at the same time
- Non-conductive nylon shackle
- Ø3 mm shackle for narrow holes
- Lightweight ABS body
- Writing area
- Bright yellow colour
Cons / limitations
- For more than 4 workers, a second hasp or a group lock box is needed
- The thin 3 mm shackle does not suit large holes – choose ES-BD-8342 (Ø6 mm)
- Effective only when the LOTO procedure is followed
- It is not a personal padlock – each worker’s padlock is needed with it
- The nylon shackle is not a tool for live working and does not replace insulating protective equipment
Safety and installation notes
- ⚡ Locked-out equipment does not mean there is no voltage – before touching, verify the absence of voltage.
- Insert the hasp into the lockout hole of the power isolating device, not into the control button.
- Each worker hangs only their own padlock and removes only their own.
- Hang a LOTO tag with work information on the hasp.
- Do not use the hasp in an explosive atmosphere unless separately approved for it.
The Lithuanian Rules for Safety When Operating Electrical Installations (item 80/81) require measures to ensure that disconnected equipment cannot be switched on automatically or by mistake (item 80). A lockout hasp makes it possible to meet this requirement when several workers are working on the equipment. The sign “Do not switch on! Work in progress” („Nejungti! Įrenginiuose dirbama“) is also hung on the device (item 81).Quick selection guide
For 4 padlocksShackle Ø3 mmABS bodyColour: yellowSuits when you need:- several workers to lock one isolation point
- narrow lockout holes
- group lockout with workers from different departments
Check before use:- whether the Ø3 mm shackle fits the lockout hole
- whether the workers’ padlock shackles fit the hasp holes
- whether 4 holes will be enough
Important reminder: A lockout hasp does not replace personal LOTO padlocks or verifying the absence of voltage.FAQ
