SONOFF iHost (RV1109, 2 GB) is a local smart home server and hub: a Zigbee coordinator, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet are combined in one device. Automations, scenes and data are processed locally, so the system works even without the cloud.

Key idea:
As a smart home system grows, it matters that the core functions do not depend on the internet. iHost manages up to 128 Zigbee devices on the local network, stores data in its own memory and can be extended with add-ons such as Node-RED or HomeBridge.

How it works

The hub is powered from 5 V via USB Type-C and connected to the home network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. It is managed through a browser-based admin console on the local network and the eWeLink app.

Sensors, switches and other Zigbee devices are paired with the built-in Zigbee module (Silicon Labs EFR32MG21), and eWeLink LAN devices are synchronised over the network. The rule engine runs scenes locally without sending data to the cloud.

The result: fast-responding automations that keep working if the internet goes down, local data storage and the ability to view ONVIF / RTSP cameras in one interface.
