Smart relay switch | 1-channel | 16A | 3500W | 100-240V | Wi-Fi | SONOFF | MiniR3
SONOFF MINIR3 is a single-channel Wi-Fi relay with a 16 A / 3500 W load rating, installed in a wall box or in an appliance supply circuit. It lets you control lighting or a higher-power appliance with the eWeLink app, by voice, by schedule or with an S-MATE switch.
Key idea:
When the 10 A of the MINIR4 is not enough – e.g. for a heater or water heater up to 3.5 kW – MINIR3 provides a 16 A load in the same small housing. With the S-MATE switch it is controlled locally even without internet.Load

eWeLink-Remote up to 50 mDimensions

The relay is wired into the load circuit: phase (L), neutral (N) and the output to the appliance. Because of the higher load, use cables with an appropriate cross-section.
Connected to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, the relay is controlled with the eWeLink app and by voice via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Timers, schedules, scenes and groups can be created, and IFTTT extends automations.
With the SONOFF S-MATE switch the relay is controlled by the local eWeLink-Remote signal up to 50 m in open space – without internet or cloud. LAN control is also supported.
Why choose MINIR3?
A 16 A / 3500 W load in a compact housing and local eWeLink-Remote control allow reliable control of higher-power appliances without a contactor.Technical specifications

Use by need
For homeowners.
A heater or water heater is controlled from the phone and by schedule. For electricians.
A 16 A relay in a small housing – suitable for boxes and appliance circuits. For summer cottage owners.
Heating is switched on remotely before arrival.Practical use
If a 2.5 kW convector in a summer cottage should switch on 3 hours before arrival, connect MINIR3 in the convector supply circuit and switch it on remotely or by schedule in the eWeLink app.Pros
- 16 A / 3500 W load
- Compact housing
- eWeLink-Remote local control
- LAN mode
- Voice control and IFTTT
Cons / limitations
- Neutral (N) wire required
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
- Motors and large LED groups – via a contactor
- Remote control requires internet
Safety and installation notes
- Before installation switch off the circuit breaker and verify that no voltage is present
- Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician
- Select the cable cross-section and circuit breaker for 16 A
- Do not exceed 3500 W; use a contactor for inductive loads
- Install only in dry indoor locations and tighten the terminals
