How to put the set together

The deflector D must match the duct diameter.
If the duct ends at roof level, add a stainless steel base of the same D.
Fix with stainless screws or rivets – fasteners made of other metals will rust.

⚠ Ventilation only

The deflectors in this category are designed for ventilation ducts – to extract humid and warm air. Do not install them on stove, fireplace or boiler flues: hot flue gases and acidic condensate will damage them, creating a risk of fire and carbon monoxide.

⚠ Check before buying

Purpose	For ventilation. Stainless steel alone does not mean the product is suitable for a flue.

Roof work is work at height: use fall protection equipment and do not install in strong wind, rain or when the roof is icy.
Fix mechanically (with screws, rivets or a clamp), not with sealant alone.
Seal the joint with the roof covering using a sealant resistant to UV and temperature changes.

Can a stainless steel deflector be installed on a chimney?

Not automatically. Install on a flue only a cowl whose product page states that it is designed for flues, and follow the chimney and boiler manufacturers' instructions.

Why is stainless better than galvanised?

It has no coating that could be damaged by scratches or an aggressive environment, so it lasts longer in humid, salty or ammonia-laden conditions.
