  • Wireless crane remote control | 4 levers, proportional control | 12/24 V DC | ES-D1

    Code: ES-D1

Radio remote with 4 proportional levers for smooth multi-axis control and a twist-release emergency STOP. 12/24 V DC receiver for mobile machinery, control up to 500 m.

  • ES-D1 wireless 4-lever crane remote – proportional control, 12/24 V DC

ES-D1 is a radio control set (transmitter + receiver) with four proportional levers for mobile cranes, loader cranes and other machinery with 12 V or 24 V DC control. The transmitter sends lever positions over a radio link, receiver outputs drive contactor coils, VFD inputs or hydraulic valve controls, and these move the motors or cylinders.

    Key point:
A proportional lever moves the load as fast as you deflect it: the load starts gently and stops without jerks. Four levers in one transmitter control up to four axes at once, and the 12/24 V DC receiver connects straight to the machine's on-board supply.
    Levers
    4, proportional
    Range
    up to 500 m
    Receiver
    12/24 V DC
    Transmitter
    Li-Po batt. / AAA

    How it works

The receiver is mounted on the machine and supplied with 12 V or 24 V DC from the on-board supply – the controlled coils or valves must have the same voltage. Receiver outputs are wired into the control circuit: contactor coils, VFD inputs or proportional hydraulic valve control, and STOP into the main contactor (KM0) or machine emergency stop circuit.

The emergency STOP latches when pressed and is released by twisting – the machine will not start until STOP is deliberately released. With a lever back in neutral the motion stops; if the radio link is lost the receiver must de-energise its outputs and the machine must stop.

The operator can stand up to 500 m away in open space and run several motions at once while watching the load and surroundings. The transmitter runs on a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery or AAA batteries.

    Why choose ES-D1?
Proportional multi-axis control for mobile machinery with no cable and no extra power supply – the receiver runs on the 12/24 V DC network. The guard frame around the levers protects against knocks and accidental movement.

    Main functions

    • 4 proportional levers – up to 4 axes with smooth speed control
    • Twist-release emergency STOP – latches when pressed, released only by twisting
    • Up to 500 m – control from a distance on an open site
    • 12/24 V DC receiver – powered from the machine's on-board supply
    • Li-Po battery or AAA – two transmitter power options
    • Guard frame – protects the levers from knocks and accidental movement

How does it differ from similar models?

    • EL-F24-60 – 2 joysticks with 5 speeds each, universal 12–440 V AC/DC receiver, up to 100 m
    • ES-Q5000 – belly-box transmitter with joystick control, 315 MHz
    • ES-YLB12 / ES-YLB24 – separate series designed for hydraulic machinery
    • ES-F23-BB – 10-button pushbutton remote, 1 speed, 24–440 V AC/DC

    Where is it used?

    • Truck-mounted cranes and loader cranes
    • Hydraulic machinery with 12 V or 24 V DC control
    • Forestry and agricultural machinery with several motions
    • Mobile winches and lifting platforms
    • Cranes with VFDs that need smooth speed control
    • Construction site lifting equipment operated from a distance

    Use by need

    For the electrician
The receiver connects to the 12/24 V DC on-board supply and its outputs to the existing control circuit; check the output type against the valves or VFD first.
    For a manufacturing plant
Smooth speed reduces load sway and impacts on structures.
For a construction site / warehouse yard
Up to 500 m range and several motions at once – the operator stands where it is safe and everything is visible.

    Practical use

If a truck-mounted hydraulic loader crane has 24 V DC control and proportional valves, the ES-D1 receiver is connected to the 24 V DC on-board supply, the four levers are assigned to boom lift, slewing, telescope and winch, and STOP goes into the emergency stop circuit. Before that, check that the receiver output type suits the valve control.

    Pros

    • Proportional, smooth motion control
    • 4 levers – up to 4 axes at once
    • Up to 500 m in open space
    • Receiver powered from the 12/24 V DC on-board supply
    • Twist-release emergency STOP and guard frame

    Cons / limitations

    • 12/24 V DC receiver only – for 230 V AC or 24–440 V circuits choose EL-F24-60 (12–440 V AC/DC)
    • Proportional control requires compatible VFD or proportional valve inputs
    • Radio frequency and IP rating are not specified – check before ordering
    • For a simple single-speed crane a pushbutton remote such as ES-F23-BB is enough

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver outputs switch only contactor coils, VFD or valve control inputs – never connect motors directly
    • Wire the STOP output into the main contactor (KM0) or machine emergency stop circuit; on loss of signal the machine must stop (EN 60204-32)
    • Limit switches (SQ) and the interlock between opposite directions stay in the circuit
    • Proportional speed is usually implemented via a VFD or proportional valves – set the minimum and maximum speed
    • Before installation or repair, open the main isolator or battery isolator and apply LOTO
    • After installation, check each lever's direction, neutral position and STOP function

    Quick selection guide

    4 proportional levers
    up to 500 m
    12/24 V DC
    Li-Po / AAA

    Check before ordering:

    • Control circuit voltage is 12 V or 24 V DC and matches the receiver version
    • Radio frequency (shown on the receiver label) – check whether the frequency is permitted in your country
    • How many axes you will control and whether VFD or valve inputs suit the receiver output type

    FAQ

    What does proportional control mean?
Motion speed depends on how far you deflect the lever: a little – slow, fully – fast. This requires a VFD or proportional valves.
    Is ES-D1 suitable for a 230 V AC crane?
The receiver runs on 12/24 V DC. For cranes with 230 V AC or another higher control voltage choose EL-F24-60 with a 12–440 V AC/DC receiver.
    What is the operating range?
Up to 500 m in open space. Buildings, steel structures and terrain reduce the range.
    How is the transmitter powered?
By a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery or AAA batteries.
How is the emergency STOP released?
A pressed STOP latches; it is released by twisting the button. The machine can then be made ready again.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
The receiver must de-energise its outputs and the machine must stop. This must be checked during commissioning.
