  • Wireless crane remote control | joystick, belly-box transmitter | 315 MHz | ~100 m | IP66 | ES-Q5000

    Code: ES-Q5000

Belly-box joystick remote for heavier cranes where the operator runs several motions at once. 315 MHz with 80 selectable channels, IP66, receiver relays 250 V 5 A for contactor coils.

  • Joystick crane radio remote with belly-box transmitter – 315 MHz, IP66

ES-Q5000 is a crane radio control set with a belly-box transmitter worn on a belt or harness. The operator sends commands with the joysticks, the receiver relays energise contactor coils, and the contactors run the crane motors. It is intended for cranes where several motions are controlled at the same time.

    Key point:
The belly-box transmitter leaves both hands free for the joysticks, so hoist and travel can be combined smoothly without looking at buttons. The choice of 80 channels helps avoid interference when several cranes work on the same site.
    Control

    315 MHz, 80 channels
    Range
    ~100 m
    Protection
    IP66

    How it works

Mount the receiver (345×260×100 mm) on the crane next to the control panel. Choose the receiver supply version to match the control circuit voltage and wire the relay contacts (250 V, 5 A) into the contactor coil circuits.

Route the emergency stop circuit through the main contactor KM0. Loss of the radio link must stop the crane (EN 60204-32) – test this before first use. If the joysticks have several steps, multiple speeds are achieved with a two-speed motor or a frequency inverter.

The operator stands in a safe place up to ~100 m away, sees the load and uses both hands to control several motions at once.

    Why choose ES-Q5000?
Joystick control with a belly-box transmitter suits long shifts on heavier cranes, where a push-button remote is tiring. 80 channels let several cranes work side by side without interfering.

    Main functions

    • Joystick control – several motions at once, smooth load handling
    • Belly-box transmitter – both hands free for the joysticks, less fatigue over a shift
    • 80 radio channels – switch channel if another crane works nearby
    • Receiver sensitivity −116 dBm – a steadier link in halls with steel structures
    • IP66 – transmitter and receiver suit dusty areas and outdoor use
    • 250 V, 5 A relays – for contactor coils in standard control circuits

How does it differ from similar models?

    • EL-F24-60 – 2 five-speed joysticks, 315/433 MHz, receiver 12–440 V AC/DC, up to 100 m
    • ES-D1 – 4 proportional levers, receiver 12/24 V DC, up to 500 m – for mobile machinery
    • ES-CRC687 – joystick remote at 433 MHz – within the EU SRD band

    Where is it used?

    • Overhead cranes in metalworking and production halls
    • Gantry and semi-gantry cranes outdoors
    • Loading yards and warehouses with several cranes
    • Handling long loads (profiles, pipes)
    • Cranes where the operator works a full shift

    Use by need

    For the electrician
the receiver connects to the existing contactor scheme, the supply version is chosen by the control circuit
    For a manufacturing plant
the operator works from a safe distance and controls several motions at once
For a construction site / warehouse
IP66 and 80 channels – outdoor work alongside other cranes

    Practical use

If an overhead crane already has frequency inverters for hoist and travel, the ES-Q5000 receiver relays are wired to the inverter control inputs or contactor coils, and the operator lifts and moves the load at the same time using both joysticks.

    Pros

    • Joystick control with a belly-box transmitter
    • 80 radio channels to avoid interference
    • Receiver sensitivity −116 dBm
    • IP66, operation at −25…+75 °C

    Cons / limitations

    • 315 MHz is not a standard EU SRD band; 433 MHz alternatives – ES-CRC687, EL-F24-60 (433 MHz version)
    • Number of joystick steps and speeds not specified – confirm before ordering
    • The receiver supply version must be agreed in advance
    • Larger and heavier than a handheld push-button remote

    Safety and installation notes

    • The receiver relays (250 V, 5 A) switch only contactor coils or inverter control inputs – never pass motor current through them.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit and coil voltage.
    • Emergency stop and loss of the link must drop the main contactor KM0 (EN 60204-32).
    • Limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocking of opposite directions stay in the circuit.
    • Multiple speeds – only with a two-speed motor or a frequency inverter.
    • Before installation or repair – LOTO on the main isolator.

    Check before ordering:

    • Does the contactor coil voltage match the receiver supply version you order?
    • 315 MHz: check whether the frequency is permitted in your country.
    • How many motions and speeds you need – confirm the number of joystick steps and whether the crane has frequency inverters.

    FAQ

    Why a belly-box transmitter?
It is worn on a belt or harness, so both hands are free for the joysticks. This is convenient for long work and several motions at once.
Can 315 MHz be used in the EU?
315 MHz is not a standard EU SRD band. Before use, check whether the frequency is permitted in your country; otherwise choose a 433 MHz remote.
What are the 80 channels for?
They are radio channels within the band. If another crane or device nearby causes interference, the transmitter and receiver can be switched to another channel.
Can a motor be connected directly to the receiver?
No. The relay contacts are rated 250 V, 5 A – they are meant for contactor coils or inverter inputs.
How many speeds does it have?
It depends on the joystick steps and the crane drives. Multiple speeds are achieved with a two-speed motor or a frequency inverter – confirm before ordering.
    What is the operating range?
About 100 m in open space. In halls with steel structures the range may be shorter.
