  • Wireless proportional remote control: 9 control functions, 433 MHz, IP66

ES-BT500 is a belly-type wireless remote with 9 control functions for hydraulic loader cranes, hydraulic machinery and cranes with frequency inverters. The lever position is sent by radio (433 MHz) to the receiver, and the receiver outputs drive the proportional solenoids of the hydraulic valve block or the inputs of a frequency inverter. The receiver runs on 24 V DC.

    Key point:
Proportional control means the speed of movement follows the lever deflection: a slight push moves the load slowly and precisely, full deflection gives full speed. Levers and toggle switches together provide 9 control functions: the levers drive the movements, the toggles select modes or extra functions. Two batteries are included – one charges while the other works.

    How it works

Mount the receiver on the machine close to the valve block or control cabinet and supply it with 24 V DC through a dedicated fuse. Assign each lever direction to a valve section or to the direction and speed inputs of the frequency inverter.

The emergency STOP cuts the valve supply or the pump drive, and on a crane with a frequency inverter it opens the main contactor KM0. If the radio link is lost, all outputs return to neutral and the movement stops – verify this during commissioning.

The operator works from the spot with the best view of the load, up to ~500 m in open space, and smooth acceleration and deceleration reduce load sway and shocks to the structure.

    Why choose ES-BT500?
One remote with 9 control functions for proportional control – the operator no longer has to stand at the machine levers. Up to ~500 m range, operation from −35 °C and a reinforced nylon housing suit harsh outdoor work.

    Main functions

    • 9 control functions – proportional levers for movements and toggles for modes
    • 433 MHz radio – EU SRD band, up to ~500 m in open space, transmit power < 100 mW
    • Battery indicator – the operator sees when to swap the battery
    • 2 lithium batteries 8.4 V / 2200 mAh – no downtime when swapping batteries
    • 24 V DC receiver – fits 24 V on-board systems and control cabinets
    • IP66, −35…+40 °C – reinforced nylon housing for outdoor work

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-CRC687 – 7 proportional levers, up to ~300 m, IP68
    • ES-D1 – 4 levers, up to 500 m – for cranes with simpler control
    • ES-YLB24 – 4 levers and LCD display, 24 V DC, IP67

    Where is it used?

    • Truck-mounted hydraulic loader cranes
    • Timber and scrap handling loaders
    • Hydraulic construction and municipal machinery
    • Overhead and gantry cranes with frequency inverters
    • Retrofitting older machines – adding radio control to manual levers

    Use by need

    For electricians
the receiver connects to 24 V DC and to the valve coils or inverter inputs, levers are assigned to the wiring diagram
    For manufacturers
precise load placement at low speed without an extra banksman
    For construction / warehouse yards
the operator can choose a safe position with good visibility

    Practical use

If an overhead crane with frequency inverters works in an outdoor yard in winter, the ES-BT500 levers connect to the inverter direction and speed inputs, the toggles to the modes, and the emergency STOP opens the main contactor KM0. The second battery covers the full shift.

    Pros

    • 9 control functions in one remote
    • 433 MHz, up to ~500 m
    • 2 batteries and charger included
    • Operation from −35 °C
    • IP66, reinforced nylon housing

    Cons / limitations

    • A multi-function remote has to be assigned to the diagram, the levers labelled and the operator trained
    • Receiver is 24 V DC only – for 12 V DC machinery choose ES-YLB12
    • Receiver outputs must be matched to the valve block or frequency inverter
    • For cranes with simple contactor control a push-button remote such as ES-24-8D is enough

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver outputs are for the control circuit: valve coils and inverter inputs. Never connect pump or crane motors directly – only through a contactor.
    • Receiver supply is 24 V DC through a dedicated fuse; valve coils must match the output voltage and current.
    • The emergency STOP cuts the valve supply, the pump or the main contactor KM0; on loss of the radio link the movement must stop (EN 60204-32).
    • Limit switches (SQ), overload protection and hydraulic relief valves stay in the circuit – the radio remote does not replace them.
    • Use a valve block with spring return to neutral; fit suppression diodes on DC coils that do not have them.
    • Before any repair switch off the main isolator or on-board supply, lock it out (LOTO) and relieve the hydraulic pressure.

    Check before ordering:

    • Valve coil type (proportional or ON/OFF), voltage and current, or the inverter input type – send us the data and we will match the outputs.
    • Control circuit voltage – the receiver is 24 V DC; for 12 V DC machinery choose ES-YLB12.
    • How many hydraulic functions and extra switches you need – we will match a remote with the right number of levers.

    FAQ

    What does proportional control mean?
The speed changes smoothly with the lever deflection. Loads can be lifted and set down gently, without jerks.
Is it suitable for a crane with a frequency inverter?
Yes. The receiver outputs connect to the direction and speed inputs of the inverter, and the inverter is set up for the signal type.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
All outputs return to neutral and the movement stops. Check this during commissioning.
Can the pump or crane motor be connected directly to the receiver?
No. Motors are switched by a contactor; the receiver outputs are for the control circuit, valve coils and the inverter.
    How many batteries are included?
Two 8.4 V / 2200 mAh lithium batteries and a 220 V charger – one charges while the other works.
Is it suitable for outdoor work?
Yes, IP66 means dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets, and it operates from −35 °C. Mount the receiver antenna in the open, not behind metal panels.
