  • Wireless crane remote control | 6 buttons + START/STOP | 2 speeds | 315/433 MHz | 24–440 V AC/DC | IP65 | ES-F23-6D

    Code: ES-F23-6D

Compact 6 two-step pushbutton radio remote for three crane axes at two speeds. 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – version matched to the control circuit voltage, up to ~100 m.

  • Wireless crane remote control ES-F23-6D – 6 buttons, 2 speeds

The ES-F23-6D is a radio remote for operating a crane from a safe distance. When a button is pressed, the transmitter sends a coded command, the receiver relays energise the matching contactor coils, and the contactors switch the motors. Control range is up to ~100 m in open space.

    Key point:
6 two-step buttons are exactly what a standard overhead crane needs: hoist, bridge and trolley, each with slow and fast speed. Fewer buttons mean fewer mistakes, and the transmitter is shorter than the 8-button ES-F24-8D.

    How it works

The receiver is mounted in or next to the crane control cabinet. The receiver supply version is selected to match the contactor coil control circuit voltage, and the relay outputs are wired to the direction and speed contactor coils or to the frequency inverter inputs.

Pressing START energises the MAIN relay and the main contactor KM0. Pressing the mushroom STOP or losing the radio link must drop out KM0 and stop the crane – this is an EN 60204-32 requirement; verify it during commissioning. Two-step button: step 1 – slow speed, step 2 – fast speed.

The operator stands where the load is best visible instead of next to a pendant. Slow speed helps set the load down precisely, fast speed saves time on travel.

    Why choose the ES-F23-6D?
A simple route to two-speed radio control for a standard crane. The receiver is matched to the existing control voltage, so the crane circuit does not need to be rebuilt.

    Main functions

    • Mushroom STOP – drops out main contactor KM0 and stops all motions
    • START – the system does not energise until the operator deliberately starts it
    • Two-step buttons – step 1 for slow, step 2 for fast speed
    • 6 buttons – three axes: hoist, bridge, trolley
    • 433 MHz version – EU SRD band, receiver sensitivity −110 dBm
    • 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – version selected to match the existing control circuit

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-F24-8D – 8 two-step buttons – an auxiliary pair "1 / 2" for one more function, 433 MHz.
    • ES-Q606 – Also 6 two-step buttons, LCC Q series, receiver versions 12–460 V AC/DC.
    • ES-24-8D – 8 two-step buttons, 110/220 V AC receiver.

    Where is it used?

    • Overhead cranes in production halls
    • Jib and wall-mounted cranes at workstations
    • Gantry cranes in warehouses and steel yards
    • Electric hoists and winches
    • Transfer carts and rail trolleys
    • Replacing old pendant controls with radio control

    Use by need

    For electricians
Clear logic: relay → contactor coil, STOP → KM0. The existing crane circuit stays, only the control station changes.
    For manufacturers
The operator works from a safe position with sight of the load – fewer impacts and less downtime.
    For construction / warehouse yards
IP65 enclosure and control up to ~100 m – suitable for outdoor and unheated areas.

    Practical use

If a workshop has an overhead crane with a 2-speed hoist motor, frequency inverters for the bridge and trolley and a 230 V AC control circuit, then the ES-F23-6D receiver is ordered for the 230 V AC circuit, and the 6 buttons control all three axes at two speeds.

    Pros

    • Two-step buttons – precise set-down and fast travel
    • START and mushroom STOP – clear start and stop logic
    • Only 6 buttons – easy for the operator and quick to wire
    • 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – version matched to the existing control voltage
    • IP65 – for workshops and outdoor yards

    Cons / limitations

    • The 315 MHz version is usually not permitted in the EU – order 433 MHz for the EU market
    • No auxiliary buttons – for a second hoist or rotation choose ES-F24-8D
    • Relays are for the control circuit only – contactors are required
    • 2 speeds require a 2-speed motor or a frequency inverter

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver relays switch contactor coils only – motor current flows through contactors, not through the remote.
    • Wire the STOP / MAIN relay into the main contactor KM0 circuit: STOP and loss of the radio link must stop the crane (EN 60204-32).
    • Keep limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocks between opposite directions in the control circuit – the remote does not replace them.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit voltage.
    • Wire the second-step relays to the fast-speed contactors or the frequency inverter speed inputs.
    • Before installation or repair, open the main isolator and lock it out (LOTO).

    Check before ordering:

    • When ordering, state the control circuit voltage – the receiver version is selected to match it (24–440 V AC/DC).
    • Choose the frequency version and check that it is permitted in your country (EU – 433 MHz).
    • Whether three axes are enough or an auxiliary function pair is needed.

    FAQ

Can the receiver switch a motor directly?
No. The receiver relays are for the control circuit: they switch the contactor coils, and the contactors carry the motor current.
Which receiver supply voltage should I choose?
The same as the contactor coil circuit voltage. The receiver is supplied within the 24–440 V AC/DC range – state the version when ordering.
Which frequency version should I choose?
For the EU market – 433 MHz. The 315 MHz version is intended for other markets; check that the frequency is permitted in your country.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
Under EN 60204-32 the crane must stop: the STOP/MAIN relay drops out main contactor KM0. Verify this during commissioning.
How do the two speeds work?
Each button has two steps: half-press – slow speed, full press – fast speed. A 2-speed motor or frequency inverter is required.
What batteries does the transmitter use?
2 × AA. Keep spare batteries near the crane so the remote does not stop mid-shift.
