  • Wireless crane remote control | 8 buttons + START/STOP | 2 speeds | 433 MHz | 24–440 V AC/DC | IP65 | ES-F24-8D

    Code: ES-F24-8D

8 two-step pushbutton radio remote for three crane axes plus one auxiliary pair. 433 MHz, up to ~100 m, 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – version matched to the control circuit voltage.

  • Wireless crane remote control ES-F24-8D – 8 buttons, 2 speeds, 433 MHz

The ES-F24-8D is a radio remote for operating a crane from a safe distance. When a button is pressed, the transmitter sends a coded command, the receiver relays energise the matching contactor coils, and the contactors switch the motors. Control range is up to ~100 m in open space.

    Key point:
8 two-step buttons serve three crane axes – hoist, bridge and trolley – plus one auxiliary pair "1 / 2". The receiver version is matched to the control circuit voltage from 24 to 440 V AC/DC, so the remote fits most existing crane circuits.

    How it works

The receiver is mounted in or next to the crane control cabinet. The receiver supply version is selected to match the contactor coil control circuit voltage, and the relay outputs are wired to the direction and speed contactor coils or to the frequency inverter inputs.

Pressing START energises the MAIN relay and the main contactor KM0. Pressing the mushroom STOP or losing the radio link must drop out KM0 and stop the crane – this is an EN 60204-32 requirement; verify it during commissioning. Two-step button: step 1 – slow speed, step 2 – fast speed.

The operator stands where the load is best visible instead of next to a pendant. Slow speed helps set the load down precisely, fast speed saves time on travel.

    Why choose the ES-F24-8D?
One remote for three crane motions at two speeds plus one more function. The receiver is matched to the existing control voltage, so the crane circuit does not need to be rebuilt.

    Main functions

    • Mushroom STOP – drops out main contactor KM0 and stops all motions
    • START – the system does not energise until the operator deliberately starts it
    • Two-step buttons – step 1 for slow, step 2 for fast speed
    • Buttons 1 and 2 – an auxiliary pair for a second hoist, rotation or another mechanism
    • 433 MHz radio – EU SRD band, receiver sensitivity −110 dBm
    • 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – version selected to match the existing control circuit

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-24-8D – Also 8 two-step buttons, but 110/220 V AC receiver and a different frequency version.
    • ES-F23-6D – 6 two-step buttons – when three axes without an auxiliary pair are enough.
    • ES-24-12D – 12 two-step buttons – when more auxiliary functions are needed.

    Where is it used?

    • Overhead cranes in production halls
    • Jib and wall-mounted cranes at workstations
    • Gantry cranes in warehouses and steel yards
    • Electric hoists and winches
    • Transfer carts and rail trolleys
    • Replacing old pendant controls with radio control

    Use by need

    For electricians
Clear logic: relay → contactor coil, STOP → KM0. The existing crane circuit stays, only the control station changes.
    For manufacturers
The operator works from a safe position with sight of the load – fewer impacts and less downtime.
    For construction / warehouse yards
IP65 enclosure and control up to ~100 m – suitable for outdoor and unheated areas.

    Practical use

If an overhead crane has a 2-speed hoist motor and the bridge and trolley run on frequency inverters with two speed inputs, then 6 buttons of the ES-F24-8D control the three axes at two speeds, and buttons 1 and 2 drive, for example, a hook rotation unit.

    Pros

    • Two-step buttons – precise set-down and fast travel
    • START and mushroom STOP – clear start and stop logic
    • 433 MHz – EU SRD band
    • 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – version matched to the existing control voltage
    • IP65 and reinforced ABS housing – for workshops and outdoor yards

    Cons / limitations

    • Relays are for the control circuit only – contactors are required
    • 2 speeds require a 2-speed motor or a frequency inverter
    • Control range up to ~100 m in open space – steel structures reduce it
    • Only one auxiliary pair – ES-24-12D offers more functions

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver relays switch contactor coils only – motor current flows through contactors, not through the remote.
    • Wire the STOP / MAIN relay into the main contactor KM0 circuit: STOP and loss of the radio link must stop the crane (EN 60204-32).
    • Keep limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocks between opposite directions in the control circuit – the remote does not replace them.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit voltage.
    • Wire the second-step relays to the fast-speed contactors or the frequency inverter speed inputs.
    • Before installation or repair, open the main isolator and lock it out (LOTO).

    Quick selection guide

    8 buttons
    2 speeds
    433 MHz
    24–440 V AC/DC

    Check before ordering:

    • When ordering, state the control circuit voltage – the receiver version is selected to match it (24–440 V AC/DC).
    • Check that 433 MHz is permitted in your country.
    • How many directions and functions you need: 3 axes and 1 auxiliary pair, or more.

    FAQ

Can the receiver switch a motor directly?
No. The receiver relays are for the control circuit: they switch the contactor coils, and the contactors carry the motor current.
Which receiver supply voltage should I choose?
The same as the contactor coil circuit voltage. The receiver is supplied within the 24–440 V AC/DC range – state the version when ordering.
Which frequency does the remote use?
433 MHz – an SRD band used in the EU. Still check local requirements before use.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
Under EN 60204-32 the crane must stop: the STOP/MAIN relay drops out main contactor KM0. Verify this during commissioning.
How do the two speeds work?
Each button has two steps: half-press – slow speed, full press – fast speed. A 2-speed motor or frequency inverter is required.
What batteries does the transmitter use?
2 × AA. Keep spare batteries near the crane so the remote does not stop mid-shift.
