    Code: ES-F21-T2S

  • Wireless crane remote ES-F21-T2S – 2 buttons, START/STOP, 868 MHz, 230 V AC receiver

ES-F21-T2S is a compact single-speed radio remote with 2 direction buttons (up / down), START and STOP. The transmitter sends the command over 868 MHz to the receiver, whose relays switch the contactor coils – the motor is always switched by a contactor. Suitable for hoists, crane beams, winches and lifts.

    Key point:
ES-F21-T2S is meant for 230 V AC control circuits that need only hoisting up and down. The receiver runs on the same 230 V AC as the contactor coils, so wiring is simple, and the small transmitter is easy to carry all day.

    How it works

The receiver is mounted in or next to the crane panel and supplied from the control circuit voltage (230 V AC). Direction relays are wired into the contactor coil circuit and the STOP / MAIN relay into the main contactor KM0 coil; limit switches and NC interlocking of opposite directions stay in the circuit.

Pressing START makes the receiver energise the main contactor KM0 and the direction buttons become active. While a button is held, the relay for that direction is on; when released, the motion stops. STOP de-energises KM0, and on loss of the radio link the machine must stop – verify this during commissioning (EN 60204-32).

The operator is not tied to a pendant: they walk beside the load, see it up close and control the motion with one hand.

    Why choose ES-F21-T2S?
ES-F21-T2S is a simple wireless replacement for a two-button pendant in a 230 V AC circuit. The housed receiver is mounted next to the hoist or winch contactors.

    Main functions

    • 2 direction buttons – up / down, single speed
    • START – the system is enabled only by a deliberate action
    • STOP – de-energises the main contactor
    • 868 MHz radio – EU SRD band, 150 m, up to ~250 m in open space
    • 230 V AC receiver – connects to a control circuit of the same voltage
    • Battery-powered transmitter – no cables, no charger
    • 130 × 55 mm transmitter – fits in the palm and in a pocket

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-ML-K2 – 2 buttons, 230 V AC, IP66 housing
    • ES-F21-2SE – 2 buttons, 12–440 V AC/DC receiver, IP65
    • ES-LD-BC2 – 2 buttons, modular 230 V AC receiver without housing
    • ES-21-2S – 2 buttons, 10 A receiver relays, 12–440 V AC/DC receiver

    Where is it used?

    • Electric hoists and crane beams
    • Single-speed overhead and gantry cranes
    • Electric winches
    • Lifts and lifting platforms
    • Workshops, production halls and warehouses
    • Lifting equipment on construction sites

    Use by need

    For the electrician
the receiver relays connect to the existing contactor circuit – pendant button functions move to radio channels
    For a manufacturing plant
one operator works without a helper and sees the load up close
For a construction site / warehouse
150 m, up to ~250 m in open space, battery transmitter – no cables underfoot

    Practical use

If an electric winch with 230 V AC contactors is operated from a pendant and the operator has to stand right next to the machine, the ES-F21-T2S receiver is wired into the same coil circuit and the load is lifted from a safe distance.

    Pros

    • The simplest control: up / down + START/STOP
    • 230 V AC receiver – straight into a 230 V contactor circuit
    • Compact 130 × 55 mm transmitter
    • 868 MHz – EU SRD band
    • Range: 150 m, up to ~250 m in open space

    Cons / limitations

    • One motion only – for hoisting and travel choose ES-F21-4SE or ES-ML-K4
    • Single speed only – for a two-speed drive choose LCC-202
    • 230 V AC receiver – for another control voltage choose ES-F21-2SE (12–440 V AC/DC)
    • If a twist-release mushroom emergency STOP is needed on the transmitter, choose ES-F21-2S+

    Safety and installation notes

    • The receiver relays switch contactor coils only – motor current must never flow through them.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit and contactor coil voltage.
    • The STOP / MAIN relay de-energises the main contactor KM0; during commissioning check that the crane stops when the transmitter is switched off or the link is lost (EN 60204-32).
    • Limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocking of opposite directions stay in the circuit – the radio remote does not replace them.
    • Before installation or repair, switch off and lock the main isolator (LOTO).

    Quick selection guide

    2 buttons + START/STOP
    868 MHz
    230 V AC
    1 speed

    Check before ordering:

    • The receiver is supplied with 230 V AC – contactor coils must be 230 V AC; for another control voltage choose a model with a 12–440 V AC/DC receiver.
    • 868 MHz is an EU SRD band; if used outside the EU, check that the frequency is permitted there.
    • 2 buttons control one motion (up / down) – for travel as well you need a 4- or 6-button remote.

    FAQ

Can ES-F21-T2S be connected directly to the motor?
No. The receiver relays are for the control circuit: they switch the contactor coils, and the contactors switch the motor.
What receiver supply voltage is needed?
The receiver runs on 230 V AC, 50–60 Hz, so it suits contactor coils rated 230 V AC. For another control voltage choose a model with a 12–440 V AC/DC receiver, e.g. ES-F21-2SE.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
The receiver must de-energise the main contactor and the machine stops. Test this function during commissioning, before handing the equipment over for use.
Can it control a two-speed hoist?
    No – ES-F21-T2S has single-step buttons. For a two-speed drive choose LCC-202 with two-step buttons.
    What is the operating range?
150 m, up to ~250 m in open space. Steel structures and walls shorten the range, so test it at the actual workplace.
    Are limit switches still needed?
Yes. The radio remote only replaces the push-button station – limit switches and opposite-direction interlocking stay in the circuit.

    Who is ES-F21-T2S for?

ES-F21-T2S is a 2-button single-speed radio remote with an 868 MHz link and a 230 V AC receiver. Choose it when an existing contactor circuit needs simple wireless control instead of a pendant.
