  • Wireless crane remote control | 2 buttons + START/STOP | 1 speed | 868 MHz | 230 V AC | IP66 | ES-ML-K2

    Code: ES-ML-K2

Compact MULING radio remote for a single motion – lifting and lowering: UP, DOWN, START and STOP. 868 MHz link and a 230 V AC receiver in an IP66 housing.

  • ES-ML-K2 wireless 2-button crane remote – 868 MHz, 230 V AC

ES-ML-K2 is a radio control set (transmitter + receiver) for hoists, winches and lifting gear that only need to raise and lower. When a button is pressed, the transmitter sends the command over an 868 MHz radio link, a receiver relay energises the corresponding contactor coil, and the contactor switches the motor.

    Key point:
When a mechanism has a single motion, a large multi-button remote just gets in the way. K2 has exactly what is needed: UP, DOWN, START and STOP. The 868 MHz band is allocated in Europe to short-range devices and is often less crowded than the popular 433 MHz.

    How it works

The receiver is mounted on the hoist or crane and supplied with 230 V AC (50–60 Hz) – the contactor coils must run on the same voltage. Receiver outputs are wired into the hoist and lower contactor coil circuits and the main contactor (KM0) circuit; limit switches and the NC interlock between opposite directions stay in the circuit.

START switches on the receiver and the main contactor, STOP drops it out and cuts all motions. Direction buttons work only while held: release the button and the motion stops. If the radio link is lost, the receiver must de-energise its outputs – this has to be checked during commissioning.

The operator stands where the load is best visible, not where the cable allows. The low-battery warning on the transmitter shows when to change the cells before the remote stops working.

    Why choose ES-ML-K2?
It is a simple way to replace a 2-button pendant with a radio remote without changing the 230 V AC control circuit. The 138 × 52 mm transmitter, made of nylon with 30 % glass fibre, fits in the palm and in a pocket.

    Main functions

    • UP / DOWN – one motion, no confusion, suits a hoist or winch
    • START and STOP – switch the main contactor on and off
    • 868 MHz radio – EU SRD band for short-range control
    • Low-battery warning – you see in time when to change the cells
    • IP66 receiver – suitable for dusty and damp locations
    • 230 V AC receiver – connects to a typical 230 V AC contactor control circuit

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-ML-K6 – same series with 6 direction buttons – hoist, trolley and bridge
    • EL-F21-2S-TX – universal 24–440 V AC/DC receiver, magnetic safety key, up to 100 m
    • LCC-202 – 2 two-step buttons – 2 speeds, 230 V AC

    Where is it used?

    • Electric chain and wire rope hoists
    • Winches and load lifting mechanisms
    • Single-motion lifting equipment in workshops and warehouses
    • Agricultural and construction lifting equipment
    • Replacing a 2-button pendant with a radio remote

    Use by need

    For the electrician
The 230 V AC control circuit stays as it is – receiver outputs replace the pendant buttons in the contactor coil circuit.
    For a manufacturing plant
The operator works at a safe distance from the load, with no cable to snag or break.
For a construction site / warehouse yard
The IP66 receiver and reinforced transmitter housing suit daily work in dust and moisture.

    Practical use

If a workshop has a hoist with 230 V AC control and a worn pendant, the ES-ML-K2 receiver is mounted next to the contactors, the UP/DOWN outputs are wired into the hoist and lower coil circuits through the limit switches, and STOP into the main contactor circuit. After commissioning, check that STOP and loss of signal both stop the hoist.

    Pros

    • Simple wiring – 2 directions, START and STOP
    • 868 MHz – EU SRD band
    • 230 V AC receiver fits most hoist control circuits
    • IP66 receiver
    • Compact transmitter with low-battery warning

    Cons / limitations

    • One motion only – for a trolley or bridge choose ES-ML-K6
    • Single speed – for a 2-speed hoist choose LCC-202
    • Receiver is 230 V AC only – for other control voltages choose EL-F21-2S-TX (24–440 V AC/DC)
    • Relay contact rating not specified – switch contactor coils only

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver relays switch contactor coils only – never connect the motor directly
    • Wire the STOP output into the main contactor (KM0) circuit; on loss of signal the crane must stop (EN 60204-32)
    • Limit switches (SQ) and the NC interlock between the UP and DOWN contactors stay in the circuit
    • Before installation or repair, open the main isolator and apply LOTO
    • After installation, test STOP and check that directions match the buttons

    Quick selection guide

    2 buttons + START/STOP
    868 MHz
    230 V AC
    IP66

    Check before ordering:

    • Contactor coil voltage is 230 V AC and matches the supply voltage on the receiver label
    • 868 MHz is permitted in your country and does not interfere with other radio systems on site
    • One motion (UP/DOWN) and one speed are enough

    FAQ

Can ES-ML-K2 be connected directly to the hoist motor?
No. Receiver outputs are meant for contactor coils; the contactors switch the motor.
    What voltage supplies the receiver?
230 V AC, 50–60 Hz. The contactor coils switched by the receiver must run on the same voltage.
    What is the operating range?
Up to ~150 m in open space. Steel structures and walls reduce the range.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
The receiver must de-energise its outputs and the crane must stop. This must be checked during commissioning.
Can it control a 2-speed hoist?
No, the buttons are single-step. For 2 speeds choose LCC-202 with two-step buttons.
Can it also control a trolley?
No – K2 has only UP and DOWN. For several motions choose ES-ML-K6 with 6 direction buttons.
