  • Wireless crane remote control | 2 buttons + START/STOP + mushroom STOP | 1 speed | 868 MHz | 24–440 V AC/DC | IP65 | ES-F21-2S+

    Code: ES-F21-2S+

2-button YDBJ radio remote for lifting and lowering with START and STOP, plus a twist-release mushroom emergency STOP on top of the transmitter. 868 MHz, 24–440 V AC/DC receiver, up to ~150 m, IP65.

  • ES-F21-2S+ wireless 2-button crane remote with mushroom STOP – 868 MHz, 24–440 V AC/DC

ES-F21-2S+ is a radio control set (transmitter + receiver) for hoists and cranes that need lifting and lowering. When a button is pressed, the transmitter sends the command over 868 MHz, a receiver relay energises the corresponding contactor coil, and the contactor switches the motor.

    Key point:
Besides the STOP button, the transmitter has a separate twist-release mushroom emergency STOP on top – it can be hit with a palm or a gloved hand without looking. That is the difference between ES-F21-2S+ and ES-F21-2SE, which has only the standard STOP button. The receiver version within 24–440 V AC/DC is chosen to match the contactor coil voltage (e.g. 24 V, 230 V or 400 V AC).

    How it works

The receiver is mounted on the crane or hoist and powered from the control circuit – the version chosen within 24–440 V AC/DC must match the contactor coil voltage. Receiver outputs are wired into the direction contactor coils and the main contactor (KM0) circuit; limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocking of opposite directions remain in the circuit.

START switches on the receiver and KM0, STOP or the twist-release mushroom STOP switches it off and stops all motions. Direction buttons work only while held. On loss of radio link the receiver must drop its outputs and stop the crane (EN 60204-32) – this is checked at commissioning.

The operator stands where the load is best seen – up to ~150 m in open space, with the emergency stop one palm movement away.

    Why choose ES-F21-2S+?
A 2-button remote for those who need the emergency STOP to be separate and easy to find by touch. Transmitter 145 × 60 mm, receiver 155 × 97 mm – fits easily on a hoist or crane bridge.

    Main functions

    • 2 direction buttons – lifting and lowering
    • START and STOP – switch the main contactor KM0 on and off
    • Twist-release mushroom STOP – separate emergency stop on top of the transmitter, easy to press with gloves
    • 868 MHz radio – EU SRD band for short-range control
    • 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – version to match the contactor coil voltage
    • Up to ~150 m – the operator picks a safe position in open space
    • IP65 receiver – suitable for dusty and damp locations

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-F21-2SE – no twist-release mushroom STOP on the transmitter, receiver 12–440 V AC/DC, IP65
    • ES-F21-4S+ – 4 direction buttons, also with mushroom STOP on the transmitter, up to ~250 m
    • ES-ML-K2 – 2 direction buttons, receiver 230 V AC, IP66

    Where is it used?

    • Electric chain and wire rope hoists
    • Winches and lifting gear with one motion
    • Goods lifts in warehouses and workshops
    • Replacing a 2-button pendant with a radio remote
    • Lifting equipment in warehouses and production halls

    Use by need

    For the electrician
The control scheme stays the same – receiver outputs replace the pendant buttons in the contactor coil circuit, and the receiver version within 24–440 V AC/DC is chosen to match the coils.
    For a manufacturing plant
The operator works at a safe distance from the load, with no cable to snag or break. A separate mushroom STOP on the transmitter gives a clear emergency stop control.
For a construction site / warehouse yard
The IP65 receiver and handheld transmitter suit work in dust and damp, with a range of up to ~150 m in open space.

    Practical use

If the hoist contactor coils run on 230 V AC, order the 230 V AC receiver version, connect the UP/DOWN outputs to the lifting and lowering coil circuit through the limit switches, and STOP to the KM0 circuit. At commissioning, check that STOP, the mushroom STOP and loss of radio link stop the hoist.

    Pros

    • 2 direction buttons – lifting and lowering
    • 868 MHz – EU SRD band
    • 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – version to match the control circuit
    • Up to ~150 m in open space
    • Separate twist-release mushroom STOP on the transmitter
    • IP65 receiver housing

    Cons / limitations

    • 1 speed only – for a 2-speed motor choose LCC-202
    • One motion only – for trolley or bridge you need ES-F21-4SE / ES-F21-4S+ or ES-F21-E1B(H)
    • Receiver from 24 V – for a 12 V DC circuit choose ES-F21-2SE (12–440 V AC/DC)
    • Relays switch contactor coils only – the motor must not be connected directly to the receiver

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver relays switch contactor coils only – do not connect the motor directly to the receiver.
    • The receiver supply version (within 24–440 V AC/DC) must match the control circuit voltage.
    • The STOP / MAIN output drops out the main contactor KM0; on loss of radio link the crane must stop (EN 60204-32) – verify at commissioning.
    • Limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocking of opposite directions stay in the circuit – the radio remote does not replace them.
    • Before installation or repair, switch off the main isolator and lock it out (LOTO).
    • The mushroom STOP is released by twisting – find the cause of the stop first, only then reset it and press START.

    Quick selection guide

    2 buttons + mushroom STOP
    868 MHz
    24–440 V AC/DC
    up to ~150 m

    Check before ordering:

    • When ordering, state the contactor coil voltage – the receiver version is chosen within 24–440 V AC/DC.
    • 868 MHz is an EU SRD band; if the remote will be used outside the EU, check that the frequency is permitted in your country.
    • Count the motions you need: 2 buttons = 1 motion, 1 speed; for more directions or 2 speeds choose another model from the group.

    FAQ

Can the motor be connected directly to the receiver?
No. Receiver relays are for the control circuit – they switch contactor coils, and the contactors switch the motor.
Which receiver version should I order?
    The one matching your contactor coil voltage: the receiver is available within 24–440 V AC/DC, e.g. 24 V, 230 V or 400 V AC.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
The receiver drops its outputs and the main contactor KM0 releases – the crane stops. This must be verified at commissioning.
How does the mushroom STOP differ from a normal STOP button?
The mushroom STOP is large, protruding and can be pressed with a palm or glove without looking; it only resets by twisting, so it cannot release by accident. The standard STOP button stays on the transmitter too.
    What is the operating range?
Up to ~150 m in open space. Steel structures and walls reduce the range.
Is it suitable for a 2-speed motor?
No – this is a 1-speed remote. For two speeds with two-step buttons choose LCC-202.
