    Code: ES-F21-E1B(H)

6-button YDBJ radio remote for hoist, trolley and bridge with START and STOP. 868 MHz, 24–440 V AC/DC receiver, up to ~150 m.

  • ES-F21-E1B(H) wireless 6-button crane remote – 868 MHz, 24–440 V AC/DC

ES-F21-E1B(H) is a radio control set (transmitter + receiver) for hoists and cranes that need three motions – hoist, trolley and bridge. When a button is pressed, the transmitter sends the command over 868 MHz, a receiver relay energises the corresponding contactor coil, and the contactor switches the motor.

    Key point:
Six direction buttons control all three motions of an overhead crane from one compact transmitter, and the 868 MHz link reaches up to ~150 m in open space. The receiver version within 24–440 V AC/DC is chosen to match the contactor coil voltage (e.g. 24 V, 230 V or 400 V AC).

    How it works

The receiver is mounted on the crane or hoist and powered from the control circuit – the version chosen within 24–440 V AC/DC must match the contactor coil voltage. Receiver outputs are wired into the direction contactor coils and the main contactor (KM0) circuit; limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocking of opposite directions remain in the circuit.

START switches on the receiver and KM0, STOP switches it off and stops all motions. Direction buttons work only while held. On loss of radio link the receiver must drop its outputs and stop the crane (EN 60204-32) – this is checked at commissioning.

The operator stands where the load is best seen – up to ~150 m in open space.

    Why choose ES-F21-E1B(H)?
One compact transmitter runs the whole overhead crane, and the multi-core pendant cable is no longer needed. Transmitter 160 × 64 mm, receiver 207 × 98 mm – fits easily on a hoist or crane bridge.

    Main functions

    • 6 direction buttons – three motions – hoist, trolley and bridge
    • START and STOP – switch the main contactor KM0 on and off
    • 868 MHz radio – EU SRD band for short-range control
    • 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – version to match the contactor coil voltage
    • Up to ~150 m – the operator picks a safe position in open space

How does it differ from similar models?

    • F21-E1B-TX – 6 direction buttons, receiver 24–440 V AC/DC, IP65, up to 100 m
    • ES-F21-4SE – 4 direction buttons, receiver 12–440 V AC/DC, IP65, up to ~250 m
    • ES-ML-K6 – 6 direction buttons, 868 MHz, IP68
    • ES-F23-6D – 6 direction buttons, 2 speeds (two-step buttons), 433 MHz

    Where is it used?

    • Overhead (bridge) cranes
    • Suspended cranes
    • Gantry cranes
    • Hoists with trolley and travelling bridge
    • Replacing a 6-button pendant with a radio remote
    • Lifting equipment in warehouses and production halls

    Use by need

    For the electrician
The control scheme stays the same – receiver outputs replace the pendant buttons in the contactor coil circuit, and the receiver version within 24–440 V AC/DC is chosen to match the coils.
    For a manufacturing plant
The operator works at a safe distance from the load, with no cable to snag or break.
For a construction site / warehouse yard
Handheld transmitter and up to ~150 m in open space – the operator chooses a safe spot with a clear view of the load.

    Practical use

If the overhead crane contactor coils run on 400 V AC, order the 400 V AC receiver version, connect the three direction pairs to the hoist, trolley and bridge contactor circuits through the limit switches and NC interlocks, and STOP to KM0. At commissioning, check that STOP and loss of radio link stop all motions.

    Pros

    • 6 direction buttons – hoist, trolley and bridge
    • 868 MHz – EU SRD band
    • 24–440 V AC/DC receiver – version to match the control circuit
    • Up to ~150 m in open space
    • Compact transmitter 160 × 64 mm

    Cons / limitations

    • 1 speed only – for a 2-speed motor choose ES-F23-6D
    • For more than three motions or an auxiliary hoist – 8–12 button F24 series (e.g. ES-24-8S)
    • Standard STOP button on the transmitter; F24 series remotes (e.g. ES-24-8S) have a mushroom STOP on the transmitter
    • Relays switch contactor coils only – the motor must not be connected directly to the receiver

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver relays switch contactor coils only – do not connect the motor directly to the receiver.
    • The receiver supply version (within 24–440 V AC/DC) must match the control circuit voltage.
    • The STOP / MAIN output drops out the main contactor KM0; on loss of radio link the crane must stop (EN 60204-32) – verify at commissioning.
    • Limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocking of opposite directions stay in the circuit – the radio remote does not replace them.
    • Before installation or repair, switch off the main isolator and lock it out (LOTO).

    868 MHz
    24–440 V AC/DC
    up to ~150 m

    Check before ordering:

    • When ordering, state the contactor coil voltage – the receiver version is chosen within 24–440 V AC/DC.
    • 868 MHz is an EU SRD band; if the remote will be used outside the EU, check that the frequency is permitted in your country.
    • Count the motions you need: 6 buttons = 3 motions, 1 speed; for more directions or 2 speeds choose another model from the group.

    FAQ

Can the motor be connected directly to the receiver?
No. Receiver relays are for the control circuit – they switch contactor coils, and the contactors switch the motor.
Which receiver version should I order?
    The one matching your contactor coil voltage: the receiver is available within 24–440 V AC/DC, e.g. 24 V, 230 V or 400 V AC.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
The receiver drops its outputs and the main contactor KM0 releases – the crane stops. This must be verified at commissioning.
Is there a 6-button version with a mushroom STOP on the transmitter?
In this model STOP is a push button on the transmitter. If a mushroom STOP is required, choose F24 series remotes (e.g. ES-24-8S) or the 2/4-button ES-F21-2S+ / ES-F21-4S+.
    What is the operating range?
Up to ~150 m in open space. Steel structures and walls reduce the range.
Is it suitable for a 2-speed motor?
No – this is a 1-speed remote. For two speeds with two-step buttons choose ES-F23-6D.

    ES-F21-E1B(H): 6 buttons, 868 MHz
