  • Wireless crane remote control | 6 buttons + START/STOP | 2 speeds | 420–450 MHz | 12–460 V AC/DC | IP65 | ES-Q606

    Code: ES-Q606

LCC Q series radio remote with 6 two-step buttons for three crane axes. The receiver comes in 4 supply versions from 12 to 460 V AC/DC, with an internal or external antenna.

  • Wireless crane remote control ES-Q606 – 6 buttons, 2 speeds

The ES-Q606 is a radio remote for operating a crane from a safe distance. When a button is pressed, the transmitter sends a coded command, the receiver relays energise the matching contactor coils, and the contactors switch the motors. Control range is at least 100 m in open space.

    Key point:
6 two-step buttons control three crane axes at slow and fast speed. The strength of this set is the receiver choice: four supply versions from 12 to 460 V AC/DC and an external antenna when the receiver sits in a steel cabinet.

    How it works

The receiver is mounted in or next to the crane control cabinet. The receiver supply version is selected to match the contactor coil control circuit voltage, and the relay outputs are wired to the direction and speed contactor coils or to the frequency inverter inputs.

Pressing START energises the MAIN relay and the main contactor KM0. Pressing the mushroom STOP or losing the radio link must drop out KM0 and stop the crane – this is an EN 60204-32 requirement; verify it during commissioning. Two-step button: step 1 – slow speed, step 2 – fast speed.

The operator stands where the load is best visible instead of next to a pendant. Slow speed helps set the load down precisely, fast speed saves time on travel.

    Why choose the ES-Q606?
The same remote type fits both 24 V and 400 V control circuits – only the receiver version changes. Handy when a site has different cranes and operators should use identical remotes.

Control range ≥100 m in open space; greater with an external receiver antenna
    Receiver antenna Internal or external
    Receiver supply 12–24 V, 24–48 V, 24–264 V or 110–460 V AC/DC – version selected to match the control circuit voltage
    Protection rating IP65
    Operating temperature −35…+40 °C

    Main functions

    • Mushroom STOP – drops out main contactor KM0 and stops all motions
    • START – the system does not energise until the operator deliberately starts it
    • Two-step buttons – step 1 for slow, step 2 for fast speed
    • 4 receiver supply versions – from 12 to 460 V AC/DC, also for low-voltage control
    • External antenna option – when the receiver is mounted in a steel cabinet
    • UHF 420–450 MHz – the range includes the 433 MHz band used in the EU

How does it differ from similar models?

    • ES-F23-6D – Also 6 two-step buttons, YDBJ F23, 24–440 V AC/DC receiver, up to ~100 m.
    • LCC-202 – Same LCC Q series, but 2 buttons – for one axis, e.g. a hoist.
    • ES-F24-8D – 8 two-step buttons – an auxiliary pair for one more function, 433 MHz.

    Where is it used?

    • Overhead cranes in production halls
    • Jib and wall-mounted cranes at workstations
    • Gantry cranes in warehouses and steel yards
    • Electric hoists and winches
    • Transfer carts and rail trolleys
    • Replacing old pendant controls with radio control

    Use by need

    For electricians
Clear logic: relay → contactor coil, STOP → KM0. The existing crane circuit stays, only the control station changes.
    For manufacturers
The operator works from a safe position with sight of the load – fewer impacts and less downtime.
    For construction / warehouse yards
IP65 enclosure and control ≥100 m – suitable for outdoor and unheated areas.

    Practical use

If the overhead crane control circuit is 24 V AC and the receiver goes into a closed steel cabinet, then the ES-Q606 is ordered with a 24–48 V receiver and an external antenna, and the 6 buttons are wired to the hoist, bridge and trolley speed contactors or inverters.

    Pros

    • Two-step buttons – precise set-down and fast travel
    • START and mushroom STOP – clear start and stop logic
    • Receiver supply from 12 to 460 V AC/DC – also for low-voltage control
    • Internal or external antenna – a steadier link from a steel cabinet
    • IP65 housing

    Cons / limitations

    • Operating temperature up to +40 °C – not for hot zones (near furnaces)
    • No auxiliary buttons – for one more function choose ES-F24-8D
    • Relays are for the control circuit only – contactors are required
    • 2 speeds require a 2-speed motor or a frequency inverter

    Safety and installation notes

    • Receiver relays switch contactor coils only – motor current flows through contactors, not through the remote.
    • Wire the STOP / MAIN relay into the main contactor KM0 circuit: STOP and loss of the radio link must stop the crane (EN 60204-32).
    • Keep limit switches (SQ) and NC interlocks between opposite directions in the control circuit – the remote does not replace them.
    • The receiver supply voltage must match the control circuit voltage.
    • Wire the second-step relays to the fast-speed contactors or the frequency inverter speed inputs.
    • Before installation or repair, open the main isolator and lock it out (LOTO).

    Check before ordering:

    • When ordering, state the control circuit voltage – one of the 4 receiver versions is selected.
    • When ordering, state your country – the 433 MHz band is used for the EU market; check that the frequency is permitted in your country.
    • Whether the receiver will sit in a steel cabinet – then choose the external antenna.

    FAQ

Can the receiver switch a motor directly?
No. The receiver relays are for the control circuit: they switch the contactor coils, and the contactors carry the motor current.
Which receiver version should I choose?
    Match it to the contactor coil circuit voltage: 12–24 V, 24–48 V, 24–264 V or 110–460 V AC/DC.
Which frequency does the remote use?
The UHF 420–450 MHz range; the 433 MHz band is used for the EU market. Check that the frequency is permitted in your country before use.
What happens if the radio link is lost?
Under EN 60204-32 the crane must stop: the STOP/MAIN relay drops out main contactor KM0. Verify this during commissioning.
How do the two speeds work?
Each button has two steps: half-press – slow speed, full press – fast speed. A 2-speed motor or frequency inverter is required.
When is an external antenna needed?
When the receiver is mounted in a steel cabinet or behind steel structures – an external antenna helps keep the control range.
