    SONOFF MINI R4M is a compact single-channel Wi-Fi relay with Matter support, installed in a wall box behind an existing switch. It connects directly to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant via the Matter standard.

    Key idea:
    Matter lets the relay be controlled from different ecosystems on the local network without the manufacturer cloud. The existing switch keeps working; a neutral (N) wire in the box is required.

    How it works

    The relay is wired in the box behind the wall switch: phase (L), neutral (N), the output to the load and the existing switch as a control input.

    Via Matter the relay is paired with the chosen platform – Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings or Home Assistant – and controlled on the local network.

    The physical switch always works, and the status in the apps is updated in both cases; Detach mode lets the switch control other scenes.
