Designed for billing metering and check metering in residential homes, commercial premises and small- to medium-power industrial supplies, where the energy meter is mounted in the incoming panel without current transformers.

    Key idea:
    An incoming meter has to withstand the full current of the site, calculate tariffs accurately and remain reliable for decades in an outdoor panel – it's not a monitoring device, it's the basis of the billing. GAMA 300 belongs to the same family that ESO uses on a mass scale for billing metering in Lithuania, so its construction, climatic resistance down to -40 °C and UV-stabilised polycarbonate enclosure have been proven under exactly these conditions. The F14 version calculates active energy across four tariffs and additionally registers maximum demand and a load profile – what both the supplier and a consumer wanting to understand their load actually need.

    How it works

    The meter is connected directly: the three phase conductors and the neutral are brought into the meter's terminals, the load current up to 100 A flows through internal current sensors, and voltage is measured from the same terminals. The electronic measuring unit calculates active power from the instantaneous values of current and voltage and accumulates active energy in the tariff registers. Which of the 4 tariffs is active is determined by an internal clock with a tariff schedule, so day, night or another time zone's energy is summed separately.

    Besides the energy registers, the meter records maximum demand (P max) – the highest average power over a set integration period – and stores a load profile, i.e. rows of energy consumption by time interval. Readings are viewed on the display using the control button, and data can be read out into a data collection system via the manufacturer's specified interface. Instantaneous values are also shown: current, voltage, active and reactive power for each phase.

    What makes the G3A.144-230.F14 worthwhile?
    For the consumer it means transparency: four tariffs let you see precisely how much energy was used in cheap and expensive hours, while P max and the load profile show when the site is under the heaviest load. For a supplier or administrator, it's a proven Lithuanian-made device with LST EN 62052-11 and LST EN 62053-21 standard approval, suitable for billing.

    Key features

    • Active energy metering – total and per-tariff kWh registers for billing and check metering.
    • 4 tariffs – energy accumulated separately by time zone, per the internal clock's schedule.
    • Maximum demand registration – P max captures the highest average power, important for the demand charge and for assessing the size of the supply.
    • Load profile – a consumption history by time interval, for analysing the site's load.
    • Instantaneous values – current, voltage, kW and kVAr for each phase, right on the display.
    • Data reading – can be connected to a remote reading system; the data reading interface depends on the specific meter configuration.

    Where is it used?

    • Three-phase supplies up to 100 A for houses and homesteads
    • Metering for apartments and common areas in blocks of flats
    • Commercial premises, shops, cafés and offices
    • Small and medium-power workshops and production premises
    • Farms, warehouses and agricultural sites
    • Check metering for tenants in business centres
    • Outdoor incoming panels and metering cabinets

    Use by need

    For the domestic user.
    For a house with a 100 A three-phase supply, this is a metering device that not only counts kWh but also shows which hours consume the most – the 4 tariff registers let you assess whether switching to a two- or four-time-zone plan pays off. For billing a supplier, the meter installed by the supplier (ESO) applies – this one is suited to check metering or as a supplier-installed device.
    For businesses and industry.
    On sites up to 100 A, the meter provides P max and a load profile – data used to decide on increasing the supply capacity, the demand charge, or reallocating load between tariffs. For tenant metering, the four registers allow accurate recalculation to the supplier's tariff plan.
    For electricians / engineers.
    Direct connection means the incoming protection ahead of the meter must not exceed 100 A, and the cable cross-section is chosen to match the full supply current. The enclosure is 325x177x55 mm and weighs 1.5 kg – check that it fits the metering cabinet. The tariff schedule and the P max integration period are programmed to the supplier's or client's requirements.

    Practical example

    A café with a 63 A three-phase supply pays under a single-tariff plan. After installing the G3A.144-230.F14 and collecting the 4 tariff registers over a month, it emerges that 1,850 kWh out of 3,200 kWh is consumed in the night and weekend zones (refrigeration equipment), while P max reaches only 28 kW out of the available 43 kW. The result: switching to a four-time-zone plan cuts the bill by about 12%, and there's no need to increase the supply – the decision is made not by guessing, but from the meter's data.

    Pros

    • Lithuanian manufacturer – the same GAMA 300 family that ESO uses for billing metering; warranty service on the spot.
    • 100 A direct connection – covers most residential and commercial supplies without current transformers.
    • 4 tariffs – suits any supplier's time-zone plan.
    • P max and load profile – more than a simple meter: allows load to be analysed.
    • Climatic resistance – -40…+60 °C and a UV-stabilised enclosure for outdoor panels.
    • Standard approval – LST EN 62052-11 and LST EN 62053-21.

    Cons / limitations

    • Active energy only – reactive metering (R+, R-) needs the F34 version.
    • Up to 100 A – larger supplies need a CT-operated GAMA 300 variant.
    • Large enclosure (325x177x55 mm, 1.5 kg) – not modular, doesn't fit on a DIN rail in a typical domestic panel.
    • Data reading interface depends on the specific meter configuration – confirm the interface you need before ordering.
    • The base F14 code alone does not confirm MID/metrological configuration – billing metering requires the metrological compliance of the specific unit.
    • IP51 – protected against dust and vertically falling drops, but must be mounted in a cabinet or panel, not on an open outdoor wall.

    Safety and installation notes

    • Installation and connection work is carried out by a qualified electrician with the voltage switched off; for billing metering, the meter is sealed by the supplier.
    • Incoming protection ahead of the meter must not exceed 100 A – the meter itself does not protect the circuit.
    • Choose the conductor cross-section to match the full supply current and the manufacturer's stated terminal capacity; tighten to the specified torque.
    • Observe the phase sequence and terminal marking per the manufacturer's diagram – an incorrect connection distorts the readings.
    • Install vertically in a metering cabinet or panel; ensure the IP51 rating through the cabinet's protection against direct water.
    • Configure the tariff clock and the P max period before commissioning; changing it later may require the seals to be removed.

    Suitable when you need:
    • a three-phase incoming meter up to 100 A without current transformers;
    • active energy metering across 4 tariffs with maximum demand and a load profile;
    • a Lithuanian-made device, approved to LST EN 62052-11 / 62053-21.
    Check before use:
    • whether the supply current does not exceed 100 A;
    • whether reactive energy is also needed (in that case – F34);
    • whether the meter fits the metering cabinet (325x177x55 mm);
    • whether a remote reading interface is needed and which one – it depends on the specific meter configuration;
    • whether the metrological compliance of the specific unit suits billing metering.
    Important reminder:
    The meter measures but does not protect – it requires incoming protection against overload and short circuit. Only a meter installed and sealed by the supplier applies for billing a supplier; a self-installed device is used for check metering.

    FAQ

    Does this meter calculate reactive energy?
    No – the F14 meters active energy only; for reactive (R+, R-), choose the G3A.144-230.F34.
    Are current transformers required?
    No, up to 100 A the meter is connected directly.
    What are the 4 tariffs?
    Four separate energy registers, into which energy is accumulated according to the internal clock's schedule – e.g. day, night, weekend, peak.
    What does P max show?
    The highest average active power over the integration period – used to assess the adequacy of the supply and the demand charge.
    Is it suitable for billing with ESO?
    The GAMA 300 family is used for ESO metering, but for billing, the meter installed and sealed by the supplier applies. The base F14 code alone does not confirm MID/metrological configuration; billing metering requires the metrological compliance of the specific unit.
    Can data be read remotely?
    The manufacturer states the option to connect to a data reading system. The data reading interface depends on the specific meter configuration, so confirm it when ordering.
