Touch switch mounted behind the mirror | 12-24 V DC | up to 60 W | Eurolight SW-MIR-T-12-24
Eurolight SW-MIR-T-12-24 is a touch switch for LED lighting that is fixed behind a mirror or another surface. The light is switched on and off by touching the spot above the sensor, so no button is needed in the mirror or furniture. The switch works in a 12-24 V DC circuit between the LED power supply and the LED strip.
Key point:
This is the simplest way to give an LED mirror or piece of furniture clean, invisible control. The sensor detects touch through a non-conductive material, so it can be hidden behind glass, wood, ceramics or plastic. It suits cases where you only need to switch the light on and off without extra functions.Voltage

behind mirror / surfaceOperating principle
The sensor is glued to the back of the mirror or furniture panel, and the switch module is connected between the LED power supply output and the LED strip.
When you touch the surface above the sensor, the switch registers the touch and turns the LED lighting on; the next touch turns it off. The sensing distance is up to 5 mm, so the surface between finger and sensor must be thin.
The result is a mirror or furniture piece without a visible button, while 230 V stays only in the power supply.
Why choose SW-MIR-T-12-24?
It lets you hide the control and suits both 12 V and 24 V LED systems, so you do not need different switches for different strips.Technical specifications
Product type Touch switch for LED lighting, mounted behind a surface Manufacturer Eurolight Model SW-MIR-T-12-24 EAN 6920057122965 Supply voltage 12-24 V DC Maximum load 60 W Sensing distance up to 5 mm Control by touch through the surface Surface materials glass, mirror, wood, ceramics, plastic and other non-conductive materials Main functions
- Hidden mounting – the switch is invisible and the mirror or furniture keeps a clean look.
- Touch control – no mechanical button to recess into the surface.
- 12-24 V DC – suits the most common LED strip systems.
- Up to 60 W load – enough for typical mirror or cabinet lighting.
- Works through various materials – glass, wood, ceramics, plastic.
Where is it used?
- LED mirrors in bathrooms
- Mirrored bathroom cabinets
- Cosmetic and beauty salon mirrors
- Kitchen and wardrobe furniture lighting
- Decorative lighting of shelves and niches
- Hotel room mirrors
Use by need
For mirror manufacturers.
The same hidden switch for a whole mirror series, without holes in the glass. For furniture makers.
Light control through a wood or plastic surface – no recessed button. For home renovation.
An existing LED mirror can be upgraded with touch control without replacing the mirror.Practical use
If a bathroom mirror is lit by a 12 V LED strip of 9.6 W/m and the strip is 4 m long (38.4 W), SW-MIR-T-12-24 with its 60 W limit controls this load with margin. The sensor is glued behind the mirror in the lower corner, and the light is switched on by touching that spot.Pros
- Invisible mounting
- For 12 V and 24 V systems
- Works through various non-conductive materials
- Simple connection between power supply and strip
- No mechanical parts to wear out
Cons / limitations
- Sensing distance is only up to 5 mm – thicker surfaces are not suitable
- Dimming is not specified – for brightness control choose ELSP-MZ00DG-D or TD012B
- Not suitable for controlling a CCT (two-tone) strip
- Intended only for a 12-24 V DC circuit, not 230 V
Safety and installation notes
- Connect the switch only to the LED power supply output (12-24 V DC), never to the 230 V mains.
- Check polarity (+ / −) and input / output against the marking on the switch.
- The total LED strip power must not exceed 60 W – leave a margin.
- Before gluing the sensor, check that it reacts through your mirror or panel.
- The power supply must be connected by a qualified electrician; in bathrooms – with 30 mA RCD protection.
Quick selection guide
12-24 V DCup to 60 Wsensing up to 5 mmbehind the mirrorSuitable when you need:- to hide the switch behind a mirror or furniture surface
- simple on / off switching
- to control a single-colour LED strip up to 60 W
Check before use:- surface thickness (up to 5 mm)
- LED strip and power supply voltage
- total strip power
Important reminder: the switch does not replace the LED power supply and is not a dimmer – these must be selected separately.FAQ
Will the switch work through a mirror?
Yes, if the mirror thickness does not exceed the 5 mm sensing distance. Is it suitable for a 24 V LED strip?
Yes, the switch is designed for 12-24 V DC systems. How much LED strip can be connected?
Total load is up to 60 W, e.g. about 4 m of 12 V strip at 9.6 W/m with margin.Can brightness be adjusted?
Dimming is not specified – for that choose the dimmer model ELSP-MZ00DG-D or TD012B.Can the switch be connected to 230 V?
No, it is connected only to the output of a 12-24 V DC power supply.Does it work through wood?
Yes, if the wood layer is no thicker than 5 mm.Touch switch mounted behind the mirror | 12-24 V DC | up to 60 W | Eurolight SW-MIR-T-12-24
