Multifunction voltage and current monitoring relay 100A – a DIN rail-mounted protection device for single-phase electrical circuits. The relay monitors voltage, load current, leakage current and temperature, and automatically disconnects the load when the set limits are exceeded. Overcurrent protection is adjustable from 1–100A. The device features a digital display, programmable delays, fault history and automatic reconnection once normal mains parameters are restored.

  • Multifunction Voltage and Current Monitoring Relay | 100A | Automatic Reclosing | Leakage Current and Temperature Protection

Multifunction voltage and current monitoring relay with automatic reclosing – a microcontroller-controlled DIN rail protection device designed to monitor the parameters of a single-phase electrical circuit and disconnect the load when the preset limits are exceeded. The device provides overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent up to 100A, leakage current and temperature protection, a digital display and automatic power restoration.

The digital display shows the operating voltage and load current. Protection thresholds, trip delays, recovery delay and other parameters can be programmed using the front-panel buttons. The overcurrent protection can be adjusted within the 1–100A range.

100A version with adjustable overcurrent protection

The overcurrent protection threshold can be adjusted from 1A to 100A. The default setting is 80A. When the set current is exceeded, the load is disconnected after the selected 0.1–30s delay.

    Protection functions

    Protection Setting range Function
Overvoltage protection 120-300V / OFF Disconnects the load when the preset voltage limit is exceeded.
Undervoltage protection 80-210V / OFF Protects the load against excessively low mains voltage.
Overcurrent protection 1-100A / OFF Disconnects the circuit when the preset load current is exceeded.
Leakage current protection 10-100mA / OFF Responds when the preset residual current threshold is exceeded.
Temperature protection 50-120°C / OFF Disconnects the load when the preset temperature threshold is reached.

    100A overcurrent monitoring

    Adjustable from 1A to 100A

The overcurrent protection threshold can be set in 1A increments. The default value is 80A. When the actual current exceeds the preset threshold, protection trips after a programmable 0.1–30s delay.

    Automatic reclosing

After a temporary mains fault, the device can automatically restore power to the load. The recovery delay can be adjusted from 1 to 999 seconds. This prevents the load from being switched on immediately after the mains voltage returns.

    Repeated overcurrent protection

It is possible to set the number of overcurrent trips permitted before automatic reclosing is blocked. The permitted number is 1–20 trips, or the function can be disabled. When the selected number of trips is exceeded, the circuit remains disconnected and a manual reset is required.

    Leakage current protection

The leakage current threshold can be set from 10 to 100mA. The protection response time is up to approximately 100ms. A dedicated leakage protection test button is provided on the front panel.

Leakage protection is not automatically a substitute for an RCD / RCBO

Where a separate RCD or RCBO is required by the electrical design or applicable regulations, the integrated leakage current function should not be regarded as a substitute for such a protective device unless its suitability and compliance for that purpose have been separately confirmed.

    Temperature protection

The temperature protection threshold can be adjusted from 50°C to 120°C. The default value is 85°C. After the temperature protection trips, approximately 10°C hysteresis is applied to prevent the device from repeatedly switching at the exact preset threshold.

    Voltage protection and hysteresis

5V hysteresis is used for overvoltage and undervoltage protection. This means that the output is not restored at exactly the same voltage threshold at which the protection was triggered. This operating principle reduces the risk of frequent contact switching when the mains voltage fluctuates around the preset threshold.

    Digital voltage and current display

The integrated digital display allows monitoring of the operating voltage and load current. Measurement accuracy is Class 0.5. Voltage and current readings can be corrected within a ±9.9% range in 0.1% increments.

    • Protection of pumps, heating, ventilation and other single-phase electrical circuits, provided their parameters are within the device ratings

    Not suitable for

    • Loads exceeding 100A

    Practical application example

In an electrical distribution board, the relay is used to monitor a single-phase load of up to 100A. For example, the overcurrent threshold can be set to 63A. If the load current exceeds 63A for longer than the selected delay time, the relay disconnects the circuit. Once the cause of the fault has been eliminated and the parameters return to normal, power can be automatically restored after the preset recovery delay.
